Sep 7, 2011I can't transfer files between my xperia x8 and my lapton using Bluetooth File Transfer (which I downloaded from Android Market). I paired the two devices but it didn't help.

Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Bluetooth File Transfer Stopped Working?
Nov 22, 2010i installed the bluetooth file transfer app from the market and it worked fine for a couple of goes, then my 6 yr old got hold of my phone and i am not sure if he altered some sort of setting and it is now not sending out files (it says on the recieving phone, - connection dropped- ) it is also now not connecting to other phones. Is there anyway of finding out what had changed so i can fix it, would a reset work if so how to do it.

Nov 25, 2011I cant send any files though Bluetooth but i can receive any !! why is it so ???? i've been a regular user of Nokia and recently i just switched on to Sony but its so weird...it aint that user friendly, we cant handle any folders, cant manage any, conclusion will be as, we are meant to use the phone as the way it is..but compairing nokia actually Nokia let the user customise the phone ! I called up service centre and the explanation what they're giving is, my version is andriod 1. something and they says because if that only am not able to send any. Now i have to update my version too...its not fair. it was said it got bluetooth but no one said we can't send any through it.

Mar 18, 2012I purchased Xperia Mini Pro (Black colour) on 15th March 2012. Am not able to receive files transferred from other mobile phones using Bluetooth.
I go to Settings-->Wireless and Network-->Bluetooth. I switched on Bluetooth and device visibility. I accept the passcode and I am able to pair with other mobile phone.
But while the file is getting transferred from othe mobile phone, my Xperia mini pro suddenly stops transfer and says, "failed to receive file".
The mobile has simcard and 2GB memory card. how to make file fransfers from other mobile working using bluetooth.

Sep 27, 2012I have been using my ray for 6 months. Today I observed that all the files were invisible on my computer, eventhough SD card was full. My phone was connected by usb I run Sony PC Companion, windows explorer started and it was writen that SD Card 708MB Free and 3.65GB full, but I double clicked SD card and there was only two files; "customized-capability" and "default-capability". I have checked win explorer Folder Options, hide, unhide selection, do not affect. I am sure that the files are in my phone, I have check from my phone.Now, I could not transfer my pictures, files, movies from my computer.

I am not able to receive any file via Bluetooth if that file is not openable by Nokia. ie., if I receive a jpg or mp3 file, it receives fine, and when I open it from Messages, it tries to open it, and then I save it from the Message to the Gallery.But when I try to receive some other type of files which is not supported by the mobile, it receives the message, but it fails to open the bluetooth message and as a result, I am not able to save it to the Mass Memory. It says Un supported files.
Say for instance, I am trying to receive a docx (Microsoft Word) file, then I face this problem.Is there any way to save the file directly to any folder in memory without trying to open the received message?Had it been some protected files like .SIS or .SISX then I would agree, but It's bad if I am not able to receive general files.

I can send files from my Macbook to G4 fine.I cannot share files from my G4 to my Macbook = connection unsuccessful.

After that neither Media Go nor Windows Explorer recognize my phone as a unit anymore. especially since connection still works perfect towards another computer. Where should I start to look - have tried to update the SEMC HSUSB device drivers in windows but I didn't manage to find newer ones on internet than the existing ones, (5.1.2600.0)? I've latest version of SW on phone and run PC on XP SP3.

Oct 7, 2012I've been at this problem for some time now and I have no clue what has happened. I simply connect the USB to computer and phone, Click Start in PC Companion (in File Manager). I drag and drop my pictures from 'My pictures' to 'images' and the pictures does appear in the folder of 'image' but once I disconnect the USB so I can access the photos in the phone, it's nowhere to be found. I'm not sure what's wrong with the card or the phone, I've tried deleting pictures from the folder ('image') that I open in the computer but once I disconnect to check if the images I deleted are gone, they are still there. It's like the SD card is not even connected or being read by my phone? The weird part is that it use to work before I updated the phone to 4.0.4. The file sizes and formats are identical... Music and other files don't show in the phone at all either.
