how to remove the headset icon from top of the screen. when calling you can't speak to anyone and can only hear the caller when in speaker mode. i've tried a soft and complete reset also

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use a Bluetooth headset to listen to music that I have on the SD card but would also appreciate the option of listening to the radio on occasion. The problem is that the radio will only work once the wired headset is connected, as the cable is used as an aerial. Is there any way in which I can overcome this problem. I have tried plugging the wired heaset in so that the radio works through that, but then there is no sound through the Bluetooth headset. For the record, I have experienced an irritating problem since having upgraded to 2.3. I downloaded a few skins off the HTC Hub after which the downloading notification arrows on the top information bar as well as the download information on the information sheet could not be removed. I tried many options, to the extent of even deleting the apps concerned, but the notifications remained. The only way that I was able to clear them was to perform a full factory reset causing much information to be lost. I wonder how many others have experienced the same problem. Other than this the upgrade did improve a number of functions.

My desire Z is telling me that i have a headset attached but i dont. I have tried the following;
1. I have switched it off and on again.
2. I have cleaned the sockets
At the moment I can only use it if I plug headphones into to listen which is a complete pain.I have lots of text messages, contacts and apps on my phone and I dont want to try a factory reset if I am going to lose them all.

I just got the bold 9700 ver. 2 from ATT and don't have the phone icon. It is not hidden, I looked, and not in any other folder. All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be. When I click the VVM icon it says do you want to sign up and I hit No and it just kicks me back to the main screen. How can I get rid of the Visual VM icon and get the Call log icon?

Was transfering photo from old phone to HTC Desire HD via Bluetooth and lost connection. I now have permanent bluetooth notification icon in notification bar say "null" wants to transfer file no bytes. Accept or decline. Selecting either does nothing. I assume the HTC no longer knows where "null" device is. Is there anyway to clear this notification without a factory reset.

I'm still looking for some answers to get my ringtones back into my Jawbone Icon headset. I've had the same headset paired to a Razr v3xx whereupon I was able to hear my various ringtones I had set for certain contacts so I could tell as to whether or not I needed to answer right away or not without having to look at my phone. I liked the fact that I was able to hear these tones in my headset as well as the phones speaker. Now don't even try to pass this off as the headsets' software, as I ever had changed anything until I paired with my new Atrix. my thoughts are that this is a softwarwe engineers code changes for this particular phone
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had my Bold 9700 plugged into speakers and listening to Slacker like I have done in the past. Now when I try to make a call or receive a call the "Headset" icon flashes on and off as tho the headset is plugged in when nothing is plugged into the jack. This overrides speakerphone too. So basically I can receive and send a call but it cuts in and out quickly since it thinks the headset is taking over.
Not sure if this is a glitch or if something happened when listening to music. Nothing looks abnormal when I look into the headset port. I was thinking maybe I should update the software to see if its a software or bug.
