The settings and apps selection icon appear on every home screen panel. I don't want either on my main home screen panel as I keep hitting them when my phone is in my pocket and end up with stuff added or changed. I want them gone even if that means they are gone from every home screen panel.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

My phone icon disapeared from the icon tray on home screen into the application folder. I can not figure out how to put it back on the bottom icon tray on home screen. I also just updated my phone today. Not sure if that has something to do with it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedChecking out media players, I downloaded Zimly and Mixzing to compare. Both installed instantly but only Zimly appeared as an icon on the home screen. When I go to Settings>Applications>Manage applications they are both listed as installed, however I need to have Mixing drop its icon for me to be able to use it ... from reviews etc I actually think that's the one I'll be keeping anyway, a clear case of sod's Law that of the two that one would be the one with a problem!I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, same result.

I swiped to unlock and then another icon appeared on the launcher home screen...
I already had one shortcut to iobd2 there but another appeared as I unlocked. It's got a larger icon!?
If I long press and look at app info, its the same app info.
If I go to the app drawer and add the app again, it adds it as a small icon, like the original one.

Previously had an S3 so am not completely unfamiliar with Android and Samsung phones. I cannot figure out how to add or remove a widget to any of my home pages. Anywhere there is room for an extra shortcut or widget, there is a fairly large + sign. Can add shortcuts, no prob. Shortcuts will also not move by pressing them and dragging. These issues also happen when I hit the Edit button.
