View 5 RepliesIt does it intermittently, and I suspect it's because the whole phone is lagging - too many little background things running I suppose.
Assuming it's the lag problem (making a single press lag so long it seems like a long press), what are some strategies for clearing out less necessary tasks the phone is doing?
Don't know what's happen. Phone isn't rooted. Normally when I flip my home screen and I want to go back to my first home screen I press the homescreen button. But now it doesn't do anything?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo far, I have had nothing but problems since I upgraded from S3 to S6. I am going through the tedious job of redownloading my S3 apps. Several are duplicated on my Home Screen. I don't want them there, but I can't move them. Apps were easy to move on the S3. Is this a problem with the S6, or has the method of moving apps changed? There is nothing in the User Manual...

View 2 Replies View RelatedA new problem has developed with my phone. It's hard to describe but it looks as if there is fluid under the screen (I don't have a screen protector btw). You can push the bubble of fluid (if that's what it is) around with your finger and see it move under the screen. Most unsettling. I'm at a complete loss to know what to do. MY PHONE AT NO TIME HAS GOT WET OR EVEN SPLASHED - I'VE KEPT IT COMPLETELY DRY. I HAVEN'T EVEN HANDLED IT WITH WET HANDS.
The problem is only visible on the home screen and it's not affecting the functionality of the phone in any way. However, it's a bad problem because now I've lost all security on my phone - it doesn't ask for a fingerprint swipe any more so anyone can immediately gain access to my phone merely by touching the bubble.
Interestingly, the problem disappears completely if I run the Samsung Galaxy S6 4G in Safe Mode.
Regularly when using the camera, it crashes and goes back to the home screen. Is this normal?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just moved to an S2 from a Samsung i8910 HD. On that phone the next events in the calendar would appear written on the home screen. It was a very useful prompt of what was happening next.Is it possible to get a similar display on the S2's home screen?
View 6 Replies View RelatedLast night I picked up my Galaxy SII and must have accidentally deleted my AccuWeather widget off my home screen. I have tried pressing and holding the screen and looked through the widgets, and yes I found the AccuWeather.com widget, but when I drag it back onto my phone home screen. I get all weather for the next five days on my home screen as well, instead of just the current weather with the temperature etc.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI always believe it is better to use folders to organize apps on home screen in terms of better performance. However, I don't like TW lollipop folder icon, so I'm thinking about adding a lot of home screen pages and sort apps on different pages.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe settings and apps selection icon appear on every home screen panel. I don't want either on my main home screen panel as I keep hitting them when my phone is in my pocket and end up with stuff added or changed. I want them gone even if that means they are gone from every home screen panel.

View 7 Replies View Relatedseems a bit lame compared to other questions! But, how do I set it so that when I recieve a text, it beeps every two minutes or so instead of just once? I can't find it anywhere! Also, when a text does come, the actual message quickly scrolls across the black bar at the top of the home screen..can I remove this? I would normally have the screen locked anyway but if i'd just used it and left it on the table for instance.
View 1 Replies View Relatedafter installing the Android 5.1.1 update on my Galaxy S6 edge almost all home screen icons have disappeared, even the bottom ones like phone, contacts and messages. The apps icons in the app drawer have also completely disappeared. The apps are still there and working, but I can only access them when I get a new notification.I have tried rebooting several times, and clearing the Touchwiz launcher data, but nothing changes.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to figure out if it's possible to bypass the initial splash screen (sorry I don't know what it's called) that needs to be swiped out of the way in order to go to the home screen. I'd prefer to go straight to the apps screen when the phone wakes up if possible. Then the problem I have with the Home and Apps screens is if I have the phone on a stand and using a BT Mouse and KB, those screens do not auto rotate into Landscape mode, so the mouse pointer is not usable unless you prop the phone up in Portrait mode. Is there any way to make those screens auto rotate as well?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone icon disapeared from the icon tray on home screen into the application folder. I can not figure out how to put it back on the bottom icon tray on home screen. I also just updated my phone today. Not sure if that has something to do with it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

Did my software update the other day and apart from noticing the battery tends to run out quicker than previously, I have a new issue.
Put my phone onto charge last night with phone turned off. Don't normally do that but kept getting FB notifications. Turned phone on this morning and noticed several widgets missing from my home screen. There are gaps where widgets were but now they are missing. They are still on the phone as they're visible on the other screen where all my apps are.
my camera is missing from my home screen. How do I get back

I just "upgraded" from my 9700 to a 9900 with OS7 (remains to be seen if it feels like an upgrade when I get everything finally sorted). Mostly it seems fine after some difficult first days.A small but weird thing. On OS6, in the top bar of the home screen I would get alert symbols for Mail, SMS, BBW upgrades, BBM upgrades, Twitter, etc. If I clicked on the top bar, a page would open where I could see the top of my email box, the top of my SMS box, etc etc.
The same thing happens on OS7, BUT for some reason now my email inboxes do not appear (the "new message" symbol appears, but the inbox is not on the detail page that opens); same for BB, same for SMS. When I click that bar, the only content which appears on the more detailed page is my calendar and Twitter.I thought maybe there might be a setting which determines which content appears on that detail page and which does not, but the only manageable element of the home screen now appears to be the panels ticklist.
I've tried the search but can't find my solution.Until yesterday my home screen used to show upcoming appointments on the lower half of the screen. It now shows no appointments. I've tried all the obvious things but guess I either have a real problem or am missing something.1. There are loads of current appointments in my calendar. Many on each day and the reminders for those still alarm.2. Home screen is set to shortcut 3. I don't have any apps loaded that replace the home screen 4. settings/ personal/ home screen/ home screen gives me a list of options but calendar is no longer one of them . All I now have are shortcuts, search, music player and radio.
I'm reluctant to perform a hard reset or re-flash it as it took me ages to get the internet connection working correctly and I expect a reset will mess all that up again.
My Nokia X6 has stopped displaying the music control keys (ffd, play, rew) in the home screen. The radio controls are missing as well. Anyone has an idea how to fix?
