Nov 27, 2011My razr connects to my car but will not download the phone book to the car. I have a original motorola droid and a htc thunderbolt and the worked fine.

Motorola Droid Razr :: Bluetooth On --> Lose Data Connection?
May 8, 2012When Bluetooth is turned on, my data connection will disappear (i.e. the 3G or 4G icon on my screen will go away) sometime between 30 min to 2 hours after turning phone on (different length each time). I can still make calls, but the data connection is gone until I restart the phone.WiFi will still be able to connect.If bluetooth is not turned on, the data connection is fine, both 3G and 4G and wifi.

Apr 8, 2012I purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.

Sep 16, 2012I searched around and found a few forums dealing with similar issues and the previous models of the Razr, but couldn't find any solutions. I purchased a Razr M yesterday and cannot get the hotspot to function. I can connect the computer to the hotspot and I can see that connection on both the phone and the laptop, but I have no internet connection. I previously had an HTC Incredible and it worked with no issues. I have tried disabling the security, re-naming the connection, changing the channel in the hotspot settings and even changing the client start address. this is really frustrating to me because it is the primary use of this phone. (or at least it's supposed to be) has there been any solution to this issue in the previous models I missed? is anyone else having this problem?

I have successfully established the connection, but often have to reboot the phone in order to get the connection established. At this point, I have been unable to figure out the pattern of when I can no longer get connected. I have turned off all Smart Actions that manipulate the GPS connection, I have tried leaving it on all the time, or off when I am not outside, nothing consistent that I can figure out.

Jul 18, 2012Really poor day with the phone today. All day (motly midtown Manhattan) my phone was bouncing from 3G to 4G to white indicators. It was getting very hot. Tried power down, airplane mode, it was not staying connected to Google and chewing through the battery. I was in and out of areas with poor/no signal a few times but for the most part I was in a good signal area (3 bars). I was able to get calls and had three bars (even when the indicators were white) as I expected

Jan 20, 2013Before I had the Vehicle Navigation Dock, when I turned on navigation and the radio was on, the turn by turn voice went through the car radio. If the radio was off, it played through the phone speaker. Now that I have the dock, if Bluetooth is active, the voice doesn't play at all. I have to turn Bluetooth off in the phone to hear the turn by turn. This isn't optimal because then I can't use the phone over bluetooth. Is there a setting to have the voice always go over the phone speaker?

My apologies if it is there already.Having the issue that has basically kept me from using smart actions, i had smart actions setup to disable background data when the screen is off, not charging and no movement is detected. The problem is when i turn on back the screen and begin to use the device the 4g icon stays white the whole time, and the data connection does not kick in at all. I usually end up having to put the device to sleep or airplane mode or rebooting all together to restore the data connection

Mine turns white when the screen goes to sleep and takes some time to turn back blue. i have checked the advanced settings, and it is set to Always keep WiFi on during sleep. When it is white, I don't get email, Gmail Chat, etc. As soon as it turns blue, I receive email, and Chat messages.

I have used about 10 gigs this month but i don't think i am getting throttled ( if Verizon even does that).

What are the other modes for and which one should be default when using MOTOCast sync or windows media player sync? I'm suspecting if I want to do a straight file copy I'd pick the Mass Storage mode?can I choose a default or will I always have to pick one?

Motorola Droid Razr :: Bluetooth Not Connecting In Car Since ICS
Jul 7, 2012Since the upgrade to ICS, my Droid Razr won't connect with the factory installed bluetooth in my 2008 Nissan Sentra. It worked perfectly before the upgrade but now nothing. It pairs and when I call using the steering wheel controls it turns on the phone with the correct person and calls them. However, you can't hear the phone ringing in the speaker and if/when the person answers you can't hear them. I was excited to get the upgrade but my car bluetooth is more important to me. Everything else works great but the bluetooth is a major safety issue for me as I drive a great deal. Does anyone know how to fix this or is there a way to undo the upgrade?

Apr 24, 2012I had to get a new DSL router with security and motocast stopped working on my desktop. It still works on my wireless laptop. I uninstalled the motocast application on the desktop and re-installed it and it fried my internet connection settings on the desktop. I can get them back using a windows restore point but each time I try to reinstall Motocast it kills my internet connection settings again. It was working great before the new modem was setup. I don't understand why installing Motocast would alter my computers internet connection?

My Droid sees the network SSID and treats it as a WEP secured network, so it only provides me the ability to enter the WEP password and not the whole range of WPA2 credentials. It seems like I hear of quite a few people in my area having this problem. Verizon pushed a hybrid PRL to my phone and the PRL version went from 15098 to 13014. Am I going to just have to wait till they actually send someone to fix a local tower or is this something nation wide?

Motorola Droid Razr HD :: Bluetooth Disconnecting Every One Minute In Car
Dec 19, 2012I have a RAZR MAXX HD with a bluetooth issue from the start. When in my car the bluetooth disconnects every one minute, reconnects immediately and stays on for about two minutes. Then again disconnects, reconnects, stays on for one minute, then disconnects. So the bluetooth is totally useless. It it illegal to talk on a phone in a car without handsfree in our state, so I have a MOBILE phone that won't work while being MOBILE.
When this happens it also disconnects service to the 3.5mm jack, so I have to make sure the Bluetooth is turned off. But when I plug it in the charge and then disconnect to leave in the morning, the bluetooth is turned back on. I'm spending more time resetting stuff on this phone. I've never had such a buggy phone. I've tried turning off Wi-Fi. The car is a 2010 Genisis, which with the old Droid phone worked perfect.
Motorola Droid Razr :: Streaming Music Via Bluetooth?
Nov 16, 2011When streaming music to my aftermarket Alpine car stereo via bluetooth I constantly get 1/2 second drops in sound. It is intermittant but happens with almost every song, sometimes 1 or 2 times per song, sometimes up to 5 or 6 times, and some songs it doesn't happen at all. It does it while streaming through Napster or through downloaded music on the stock player, so that doesn't seem to be the issue. At first I thought it could be a loss of 3g or 4g signal or the Razr searching for the signal but it has happened in both 3g and 4g coverage area. So today I thought I would check it while stopped in a parking lot, and it continued to happen, I'm still in a 3g area til Dec. but thought the phone could be searching for a signal causing the drop of sound so I disconnected from bluetooth and the problem goes away, so I'm pretty convinced it is a bluetooth issue, I did not have this problem with my DX, so I do not believe it's an issue with my car stereo'e bluetooth adapter. I do not have any issues with phone calls but do have an issue with connecting to my bluetooth unit sometimes. In the settings it says paired but not connected until I click on the setting then it connects. Also, this does not happen while listening at home through the speakers or headphones whether I'm streaming or downloading via 3g or wifi.

Usually they work very well, I can listen to music and also make calls with them, but once in a while I will encounter a problem, when I answer a call, it will be completely mute. If I turn the headphone off, it will still be off. Even if I hang up the call, then my phone will now be completely mute (I can't even listen to music anymore). So I reset, and then my phone is back to normal.
