I have noticed that my speaker volume is very low after I disconnect from my Bluetooth stereo. It has become a problem because I have missed my alarm the next morning because I don't hear it. I have narrowed it down to the Bluetooth being the issue but I don't know how to fix it. Do I not disconnect correctly?
View 1 RepliesI just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was recently given a LG HBS-700 Bluetooth headset which I love but I have been having problems a few times a day with it disconnecting while I listen to music. After it disconnects it will be silent then my music will blare out the phone which I hurridly pause/mute so not to disturb my co-workers and get in trouble with my boss. Sometimes it will re-connect on its own or I manually turn off the headset and turn back on and it will be fine. It maybe happens twice a day. It has even happened while on a call before but not alot which I dont talk alot on the phone. I use it pretty much all day while at work. I have asked LG support about it but they have 'no known issues' and suggested I check with Motorola to see if this phone should be compatible with the headset.

Now, I use an aux. cable from the headphone jack to the aux on the stereo, but I hate having the cable running from the phone to the stereo. Anybody know of a bluetooth adapter that plugs into a stereo to do this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a RAZR MAXX HD with a bluetooth issue from the start. When in my car the bluetooth disconnects every one minute, reconnects immediately and stays on for about two minutes. Then again disconnects, reconnects, stays on for one minute, then disconnects. So the bluetooth is totally useless. It it illegal to talk on a phone in a car without handsfree in our state, so I have a MOBILE phone that won't work while being MOBILE.
When this happens it also disconnects service to the 3.5mm jack, so I have to make sure the Bluetooth is turned off. But when I plug it in the charge and then disconnect to leave in the morning, the bluetooth is turned back on. I'm spending more time resetting stuff on this phone. I've never had such a buggy phone. I've tried turning off Wi-Fi. The car is a 2010 Genisis, which with the old Droid phone worked perfect.
Anyone else having problems with their RAZR not disconnecting when a bluetooth device goes out of range?
From day 1 (two weekends ago), when I pair the phone to my Mercedes Benz 2008 (with 2010 bluetooth cradle to replace analog phone), and walk away the phone believes it is still connected (see status under wireless & network settings, bluetooth devices list)
This causes problems, such as when I receive calls the ear speaker is turned off and I cannot hear caller, or making calls the ear speaker is off.
When I later return to the car, the razr shows it is still paired (under bluetooth devices list) while the car says the phone is turned off. Need to power off/on to reset.
Called for support.
Verizon Tech believes that my car has a problem, the "car bluetooth is too old", can't keep supporting bluetooth devices that are 4+ years old
Motorola tech had me go to manage apps / bluetooth share / storage / clear data. Did not resolve problem. Need to try with another phone.
So this has happened the last 7 calls in a row. Someone calls, I answer, and then press the speaker phone button, say hello, and call ends...
I was just about to sing the praises of lollipop but this is really annoying.
OK ever since I connected my Bluetooth to a portable speaker device I've been having trouble with the external speaker itself. Usually when I watch YouTube videos or play music through the music app its more than normal loud. But now ever since my Bluetooth device connected to my droid turbo (Bluetooth has been turned off to watch videos) the speaker isn't loud at all. When I put my ear to the speaker grill I can hear the sound come out of my internal speaker for phone calls.

After I use it with Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 headset and disconnect the Bluetooth (even if I switch off Bluetooth), phone audio won't come thru the regular speaker. However, if I switch on the speakerphone, then audio works. A restart fixes the problem. But it is super annoying.

I often find myself disappointed in the output. The really strange part is that I swear that it changes somehow. One phone call on speakerphone is great. Same number calls back later and not so much! I didn't change anything. I then try to increase my volume to no avail. My Bluetooth does that as well watching a YouTube video. I can start the video nice and loud. Stop it for a bit to return later and I can't hear the dang thing.
I use all factory Android software without any additional apps, etc. for volume controls. All levels are set to high. No droppage or any damage to the speaker or phone.
Most notably is the alarm. There have been days that it is very loud and others I had to make sure the volume was turned up because it was pretty quiet. Luckily I was up this morning and waited for my alarm to go off. It went off but it was very quiet, if I was still asleep there is no way I would have heard it which is opposite yesterday because it woke my wife up it was so loud. I have changed the tone but it hasn't made any difference.

Noticed that the speakerphone volume all the way up is not loud? Regardless of playing music or using speakerphone either on a call or watching a YouTube video, it just stinks.
I swear it used to be louder. I have gone into settings etc and nothing changes it. I haven't gotten it wet nor dropped it. I don't have pocket lint and crap in the way.
Almost every time I use my phone now the volume will fluctuate between normal and almost completely inaudible. I don't have time until at least Tuesday to possibly go to Verizon. So far turning it off and back on seems to knock it off for a few phone calls.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the droid turbo 32g. If I am listening to something on headphones and someone calls, the in call volume will be wake-the-dead loud. I can try to adjust the volume either before answering the call or after answering, but it makes no difference. It is loud enough that is uncomfortable to keep the speaker against my ear. I'd say this happens about 75% of the time. I can't figure out why it occasionally works correctly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedVerizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Turbo, and on both KitKat and Lollipop you have to change volume settings separately. I'm always turning down my volume, just to get a full blast text alert that startles me right out of my seat. On previous phones (including other Motorola droids) all notification volume settings were linked and changed as one. Why is that not a thing anymore? How does that not just make the most sense? I know there are apps out there that could do this, but I don't want to have to download another app to simplify something that should be simple in the first place.

View 24 Replies View RelatedI got my Droid Turbo about 10 days ago. Previously I had a Droid Razr Maxx for about 2.5 years. I had a Bluetooth hands free device mounted on my visor where when I hit a button it would speak "Please say a command" and I could respond with "Call Bob Smith Home" and it would work. I then got a Pioneer radio and it behaved exactly the same and worked very well.
Now, I get my Droid Turbo and expect similar results but it doesn't work? I can "sometimes" hear the first part of the phone/car stereo asking me to say a command but it is broken up and sometimes I hear nothing at all. If I look at the phone I can see that it is waiting for a command. If I say "Call Bob Smith Home" it comes up with Bob Smith but nothing happens? Also, if I say "Ok Google" and then say "Call Bob Smith Home" a DIFFERENT type screen comes up and WILL make the phone call.
In playing with my phone it seems like the phone comes with multiple voice command type "programs". I think there is the Google Voice, Moto something, and is there maybe even something else? Anyway, I'd just like my bluetooth voice dialing to work. Do any of you have a recommendation on how to get this work or use one of the phone's other voice recognition ones that will work?
So I can get my turbo to connect to my Windows 8.1 PC. The question is how do I transfer files, and what else would this connection be used/good for?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have 3 different LG Tone Bluetooth headsets (700, 730 and I believe the 750) plus a Motorola Roadster part 2 other brands that fit in ear. My wife and I swap them out as our needs fit. For exercise the LG Tone works great or if I want stereo d sound.
Anytime I am on Bluetooth the person on the other end can hear me fine but I can't hear them well. Their voices sound garbled and OT sounds like a fax machine noise in the background. I gave checked with LG, Motorola and Verizon...
When i search for the blue tooth from my phone it comers up empty...
