Jul 1, 2015How do I switch between vibrate & ring and just vibrate now? Holding the power button only gets me a "power off" button.

Motorola Droid Turbo :: Notifications Keep Ringing When Set To Vibrate / Silent?
Jun 24, 2015If I set my phone to either vibrate or be silent, when I get a text or whats app or some other sort of notification, it rings instead of vibrate. I like the phone to be quiet in certain environments and this is killing me. I have had droid razors before and never had this issue.

Sep 2, 2015Since upgrading to Lollipop, occasionally the Turbo will ring once and then go silent, although the call is still pending. You could easily miss a call this way, especially since that first ring now starts off at a lower volume level. What's going on here?

Sep 13, 2015Verizon XT1254 Moto Droid Turbo, android version 5.1.About once a week I notice that my phone is on silent ringer, I might catch a call because I feel the vibe, or see a missed call. I check where the ring volume is and the slider is all the way to the left on silent. Pushing the vol up hardware key does nothing, touch and slide the slider and it will snap back to silent as soon as you lift your finger. I do have moto assist set to silence the phone from 11pm to 730am, but this problem seems to happen during the day, not just stuck from the nightly mute and the moto assist notification is not up on the screen. If I require the phone to ring at night, there is no problem just moving the slider and moto assist does not interfere.
I have checked through settings, tried multiple ways to raise the volume but nothing works. The only fix is to turn off the phone and then back on again. BTW, what happened to the quick menu that was under the lock button with a long hold that would allow volume changes, vibe on or off, airplane mode and restart? My Gzone has all that under a long press of the lock button.

Nov 20, 2015When she receives a text message, there is no sound/vibrate notification. In settings/sound & notification, the notification volume is turned all the way up, and it's also set to vibrate for calls. She receives audio notification of other messages(Facebook, pintrest). We have Verizon for our provider.

May 1, 2015I am having real issues with my Droid Turbo. I can pair the phone fine with bluethooth fine to Ford Sync and it plays audio fine. The steering controls work fine too until the phone locks or sleeps. I tried many different music apps and every setting in the screen and security settings. It works fine when I swipe the phone to click the button to wake it up it works fine.

Apr 13, 2012Is there a way to set up the D4 to vibrate on receipt of e-mails and text messages only when the phone is in Silent Mode? As far as I can tell, the only choices are for the notifications to vibrate all of the time or not at all. Even with Vibrate set to "only when silent," e-mails still vibrate when the ringer is turned up. Basically, I'd like everything (phone, e-mail, texts) to vibrate when in silent/vibrate mode, and to not vibrate when the ringer's turned up. I could do this pretty easily on my old HTC Incredible, but it eludes me on the D4. If this isn't possible with the stock system, are there any recommended apps that would to the trick?

Nov 2, 2015About two weeks ago my phone stopped ringing for calls and beeping for text messages.
Initially I thought it was a speaker issue however all other notification sounds work (email, Facebook, etc).
I have cleared the cache (which takes forever) and factory reset.
I have restored to having it vibrate always and having moto assist tell me "you have a new text message from A to read say read" or "A is calling you to answer say answer" etc. Which is not ideal in most settings.
I have tried setting it on every ring level, nothing. I have played with every setting, nothing.
Now I'm missing countless calls.
Motorola Droid Turbo :: Any Way To Update To Lollipop Through ADB?
Jul 8, 2015I've encountered the dreaded "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped" pop up which renders your phone useless. It came about by accidentally brushing over "Force RTL layout direction" in Dev Options which has a bug in Lollipop. I didn't get a chance to enable "USB Debugging" So I can't access the internal storage.
I was thinking if I could reinstall Lollipop (I already downloaded the OTA ROM) and updated it again through ADB it would reset the Dev Options and fix the issue.
Or
I only care about a month of timesheet info from the Timesheet app. If I could get that info I would be ok to do a Factory Reset.

Aug 2, 2015My girlfriend just got a verizon droid turbo today. It has kitkat 4.4.4 on it, and it's asking to update the OS. Based on the fact that the phone seems to perform just fine as is, I'm loath to take the chance on breaking stuff that isn't broken now. I have debloater on my computer, and I have successfully removed some stuff from her phone with it. However, like I said I would like to disable OTA operating system updates. What thing(s) do I need to disable with debloater to accomplish this? I did a search and was not able to find the answer. Is rooting the phone the only way to do this on the turbo?

Jul 4, 2015After updating to Lollipop 5.1, I noticed my screen is blank after using any app (messaging, GMail, etc.) and it won't come back. Calls and texts and other notices come (can actually answer calls and see the call screen) through, but home screen and any adjacent screens are all black. The status bar and icons are visible though and I can use the pull down menu. It's as if it is refreshing but never gets to the end. I installed many apps, even used a stock wallpaper), but it still will do this. I have to keep rebooting until it eventually stops; I check it by using a random app and seeing if I can see the screen by pressing the Home button. I also wiped the cache partition after the OS upgrade.

Jul 12, 2015you installed 5.1 believing the hype that latest means greatest and found out that 5.1 is not better than 4.4.4, simply different. You found out some of your apps don't work, your battery life took a hit for the worse or even your hardware does not perform as well as it did on Kitkat 4.4.4. If you installed the OTA for 5.1 and you are happy, this is not directed at you; just continue to enjoy your new OS. I have taken the time to read from many different sources and viewed several videos on You Tube that test side by side Kitkat 4.4.4 vs LP 5.1 and it shows conclusively that Kitkat out.
If you know for a fact that LP will offer you something specific that you need take the plunge but at least take the time to check what LP will mess up that you are now enjoying on Kitkat, the information is out there easily found, in closing: if you are sitting on the fence and have not yet taken the 5.1 OTA read and view videos so when you make your decision at least you will know what you will be getting and losing.
Motorola Droid Turbo :: Prevent Lollipop From Auto-updating?
Aug 4, 2015I cannot stand Lollipop, so I returned my phone to Motorola and received one that has KitKat on it. If I can turn off auto-updating of the OS, I will be good to go. I do not want to root the phone as that will mess up my warranty and insurance. If I cannot avoid Lollipop, I will get an Iphone or go back to a flip phone. Lollipop is the worst user interface ever. It is like the "New Coke". You cannot turn the phone to silent with the VOLUME button, how counterintuitive is that!? Also I don't want to see every update on the locked screen, the little pictures are fine. However with Lollipop, it is all the alerts or none at all.

Everything ran pretty good before the Cache wipe but there were a few small glitches so I figured I'd do it. I followed all the steps and the screen said clearing cache so I waited. About a half hour later I come back to the phone and it is black so I think it's done. Then the android guy on his back starts flashing on the screen(no command) He only pops up for less than half a second. I know the step after wipe cache was to reboot device which I could not do.

Jul 9, 2015So on kitkat i had the voicemail icon stuck. i use google voice, and i think this is just a standard verizon voicemail icon. I've checked and there are no new voicemails.
I figured when i upgraded to lollipop it would go away. well guess what, it didn't. so i did a factory reset, and now it's back.
I found that by deleting the data and wiping the cache on one of the 4 phone apps, i'm able to get rid of it, but then when i reset the device it comes back.

May 9, 2012I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

Sep 22, 2015Any way to increase (and maintain) a louder volume from the speaker while using speakerphone or Bluetooth speaker? My Maxx was awesome!! I thought for sure when I got the Turbo it would be equivalent.
I often find myself disappointed in the output. The really strange part is that I swear that it changes somehow. One phone call on speakerphone is great. Same number calls back later and not so much! I didn't change anything. I then try to increase my volume to no avail. My Bluetooth does that as well watching a YouTube video. I can start the video nice and loud. Stop it for a bit to return later and I can't hear the dang thing.
I use all factory Android software without any additional apps, etc. for volume controls. All levels are set to high. No droppage or any damage to the speaker or phone.

Jul 18, 2015Most notably is the alarm. There have been days that it is very loud and others I had to make sure the volume was turned up because it was pretty quiet. Luckily I was up this morning and waited for my alarm to go off. It went off but it was very quiet, if I was still asleep there is no way I would have heard it which is opposite yesterday because it woke my wife up it was so loud. I have changed the tone but it hasn't made any difference.
