Taking a screen shot requires holding the power and volume down buttons for a few seconds. Couldn't it be done by just pressing them? Also, it should take the screen shot when the buttons are released. As it is now, everytime I force a reboot, I also take a screen shot.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe send a droid razr for repair on 8/22 and it was received on 8/24. Received an email at 11:03 on 8/27 that the problem with the phone is not covered under the warrantee and to contact Motorola as soon as possible to authorize and pay for the repair. I agreed to pay $125 plus tax to repair the screen as long as the overheating and battery not holding a charge was looked into. Today I called to see what was going on and was advised that she (rep) has no idea and would send an email and get back to me within 24-24 hours. I advised that was not acceptable and I was sent to the Repair Escalation Department, Curtis advised me the exact same thing and when i explained that my phone has been with Motorola since 8/24 and they have had my payment since 8/27 and that originally I was advised that the repair would be done and the phone back to me within 5 business days and we were now at 8 and I needed to speak to a supervision he stated that he was the supervisor and there was no one above him to talk to. Someone please explain how I am getting the same exact information (none with a 24 to 48 hour wait time) from customer service and the Repair Escalation Department?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt has been acting up the past few days, randomly turning itself off, and I am trying to get it to turn back on. Randomly it will turn back on when I push the power button, but is unresponsive when doing all the reset combos. Today it turned itself off while sitting on the table at home. I have not been able to get it back on and its been about 6 hours now, and its been plugged in to the wall charger the whole time. If I take it to apple, can they pull the serial number off for warranty purposes?

While in landscape mode (I first noticed this while watching Netflix). In the corner near the search capacitive button I noticed the lighting for the capacitive button seeps out a little, like a very small amount. It doesn't overwhelm the screen or anything. When holding my phone upright and looking down towards the capacitive buttons, I do notice some light coming out from the left and right corners. if this is because of the design and is normal? Or is it a flaw in the phone?!

From what I have read, the "lite" version was designed for one certain phone but the pro version ($1.28) is supposed to work on all phones. There are not a lot of reviews as it is a relatively new app but almost all are positive. It is in the Google Play Store under Smart Screen On Pro. Curious to know if it actually works as they say it does. I really dislike using the power button to turn the screen on. I guess I was so used to the home button on the DX turning it on. if anyone has tried it, would like to hear yeas or nays on how it works.

I recently got a brand new phone after my screen broke and I filed a warranty claim through Asurion. With my new phone when i take pictures, sometimes they show up upside down. Not always but more often than not. My original phone never did this. Its pretty annoying to have to go back to the photo afterwards almost every time and edit and rotate it. I know the RAZR has the feature to show pics right side up no matter how you take the pic holding the phone but I guess somewhere in mine the calibration for this feature is off. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea how to re-calibrate it? Note: It doesn't matter how I hold the phone when it happens. No matter which way it is on the screen at the time, it flips it upside down after the pic shows up.

The other two times it has happened the buttons return within a few seconds. I'm hoping this is software related. Will try to grab screen shot next time it happens.
View 5 Replies View RelatedLove my RAZR Maxx however something I've noticed (I've had Moto Droid/Droid2 and HTC Incredible) is that when scrolling (like email or web pages) my finger must barely touch the home button (or the back/menu/search buttons) and my scrolling gets interrupted by the button function. It seems much more sensitive than any of my other phones.Anyone else have this issue or am I the only klutz? Maybe there is a setting to change sensitivity but can't find it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy power button suddenly stopped working this morning. I think it may have worked once with a really long delay... But since then I have to tap my screen a few times to wake it up. I'm worried that if my battery ever runs flat I won't be able to turn my phone back on.
Then I have realised my volume and camera buttons dont work either. They definitely all worked yesterday.
I'm really not happy with this phone. I look after it properly, it cost me a lot of money not long ago, its kept in a protective case and has never been dropped etc. I spent more money than I could afford on a phone thinking I should buy the best I can and I shouldn't have a problem with it being Sony, but so far I have been disappointed with it.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI found the System Settings > Display > Brightness > Display Power Saver checkbox, but turning it off or on doesn't seem to do anything. In fact, I noticed my Maxx's screen was darker than the Droid 4's in the store the other day, and I went into the Brightness settings and found Display Power Saver unchecked, so I checked it just to see what happened, and the screen got brighter. My brightness is always on Auto. Unchecking it had no effect. Since then I've been able to detect no difference with it checked or unchecked.

It would be nice if you could do that with the notifications also, like text and email etc. Cause sometimes I can't just get my phone out cause I'm doing something or have my hands full and so on. It should be like that with all of the sound where you can just hit the power button to silence the ringer on everything.

It's way quieter than my other phone, even at the loudest volume, and then it crackles at that volume. Having mild hearing loss I loved the fact that with this phone my ringtones and notification sounds could wake up the dead. For normal situations I would have to slide the volume controls to the mid point of the slide bar, but when I was in a noisy environment I could slide the controls all the way to the right and be sure I wouldn't miss a call. Now after the upgrade it seems like even with the slider controls all the way to the right the volume is no where nearly as loud as it used to be.
Is this just me or did Moto make a change with the update? If so is there anyway to get back to the pehnenomal speaker performance we had under ICS?
Since upgrading to ICS on my Droid RAZR MAXX, the volume output on my HD dock is either full blast or off. I'm not able to control the volume.
