I have a weird issue. I power cycled the phone and went to unlock it and as soon as I unlocked it the ringtone started to play. I can get the phone to do this on every power cycle.

Every time I set up a different ringtone for a contact it plays the default ringtone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought the Z5 yesterday and if I hold down the power button, my ringtone starts playing. Â If I hold it down again, it will start playing again over the other ringtone and my only option is to use the rocker button to silence it but when I turn the volume back up it will still be playing so my only option to stop it is to restart. Â This is everytime I hold down the power button.
View 7 Replies View RelatedGreetings, my phone recently froze on me, and I couldn't even reboot by holding down the power button. Instead I opted to reboot via the Power Button + Volume Down method. This forced it to shut down, but upon rebooting, the phone is now in a loop. It shows the Droid at launch, then makes it to the red eye, but after sitting on the red eye a moment, it freezes, then restarts the cycle again.
Things I have tried:
Forcing another reboot via Power + Volume Down Going into the Boot Mode Selection to use Normal Power Up Going to BMS and trying Recovery (Wiped data/factory reset) Attempted to enter Safe Mode (Didn't seem to work, cycled again at eye) Fastboot Lastly, tried launching to Tools in BMS. Same as above.
At this point I am at a loss as to what to do. I would like to not have to send this out, and to fix it here, but is it comes to that, I guess I'll take it to Verizon and see about getting it shipped out, and getting a replacement.
Oh, also this is a stock phone, the only "modifications" I had was Go Launcher and Go Lockscreen. I was, when this happened, going to check my Google Reader app, and that is when it froze on me. (Never had it happen before this)
So I preorder the RAZR and got it a day before the 11-11-11 launch. I had my phone setup and was about to go to bed and my device started a continuous reboot cycle that made the battery go dead by morning. I went to local store and the looked at it and said that they couldn't fix it will just give you a new one.I got a new RAZR and other that battery life issues which I am not happy about I can deal because I can have it charging in my office during the day. Well last night about 7 it started continuous reboot cycle this time I plugged it in and did a reset holding the power and the down volume. It been rebooting since last night I am not in my office with it plugged in.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI just got my Razr Maxx and charged it before using it. When the screen time out and goes to sleep i can´t turn it back on by pressing power button. I can turn it back on by doing soft reset (pressing power button and vol down) when doing soft restart I don´t have to press pin number, as needed when i turn the phone off and back on. When the phone is in the charger there i no problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have owned my Electrify for about 4 or 5 months now. I have a nice Otter box on the outside to protext the phone. Honestly never dropped. I love this phone but now during the power cycle that it does once a day, it freezes up on starting up. I have to pull the battery to get it to start back up. I haven't done a factory data reset or anything with it yet. I would like to get feedback before I waste my time and data doing so.

I have a copy of the ringtone on my computer and have installed Mobisynapse which describes itself as "iTunes for Android. It is a desktop manager for Android." I installed it as part of installing mOffice to sync my Outlook info with my phone which it sort of does (doesn't sync Notes properly) but I don't see any option to install a ringtone. How do I do that install of the ringtone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
and if so...is there a way to turn off 4G for most of the time and turn it back on if I am doing something that requires a lot of download time etc.

I've downloaded it as an MP3 to the My Music folder and also copied it to a new folder that I've called "music" on my external memory card. So I'm able to play the tune from both locations but I can't find any menu option that allows me to set it as the ringtone. When I hold down the song in My Music a menu comes up that gives a number of options starting with Play and ending with Copy to DLNA server and Delete. The Mortorla phone tech person said that between the last two on his phone was a Set as ringtone option but it does not exist on mine. He offered to reset my phone to the original factory settings. But I would loose too much stuff so that is not an option.how I get to set it as a my new ringtone?

I can't seem to get this back.The app I had been using to set volume became too buggy with the last update and it isn't supported well. I've been trying different apps so it may have been an app that caused the timer to display.

View 10 Replies View RelatedThis is the only phone that i've had that does not allow the option to link the notification and ringtone volume together. it's really inconvenient to use the volume rocker to adjust the volume of the ringtone, only to have to go deep in to settings to adjust the notitication volume as well.At least on my nexus 7, there's a mini setting when you hit the volume rocker that allows you to adjust the playback and notification volumes from your current screen. i hope that gets added to the JB build of this phone, if we cant link.

Doing that allowed me to use Smart Actions to lower the volume of my phone when at work, or make it go completely silent when at school. After upgrading to ICS I no longer have the ability to link the two volumes (see attached photo). How can I link the two volumes again and continue using Smart Actions. (note I want to try and not use third party apps to do something that was an included feature, ex: using another profile management app to disable notification sounds.)
View 14 Replies View RelatedI found the System Settings > Display > Brightness > Display Power Saver checkbox, but turning it off or on doesn't seem to do anything. In fact, I noticed my Maxx's screen was darker than the Droid 4's in the store the other day, and I went into the Brightness settings and found Display Power Saver unchecked, so I checked it just to see what happened, and the screen got brighter. My brightness is always on Auto. Unchecking it had no effect. Since then I've been able to detect no difference with it checked or unchecked.

From what I have read, the "lite" version was designed for one certain phone but the pro version ($1.28) is supposed to work on all phones. There are not a lot of reviews as it is a relatively new app but almost all are positive. It is in the Google Play Store under Smart Screen On Pro. Curious to know if it actually works as they say it does. I really dislike using the power button to turn the screen on. I guess I was so used to the home button on the DX turning it on. if anyone has tried it, would like to hear yeas or nays on how it works.

It would be nice if you could do that with the notifications also, like text and email etc. Cause sometimes I can't just get my phone out cause I'm doing something or have my hands full and so on. It should be like that with all of the sound where you can just hit the power button to silence the ringer on everything.

View 5 Replies View RelatedThis is an unusual situation. I have this ringtone that is a song about a cartoon character. Some kids texted it to me and I saved it in my ringtones folder. Later I tried to text it to a couple family members. On one of the attempts, it didn't attach because I hit the wrong selection (not sure what).Anyway, ever since, the song comes on constantly and plays all the way through. For example, if I receive a text, the normal text alert sound goes off. But afterwards, the song starts to play and I can't stop it until it has played through. If I receive an instant message from someone on Blackberry Messenger, the normal message alert sound goes off, but afterwards the song starts and again plays all the way through.If I make a call, after I hang up the song goes off and plays all the way through. If I send an email, as soon as I hit send button, the song goes off and plays all the way through. Nothing I have tried seems to work.I have checked all my ringtone and contact settings. I have deleted the ringtone/song from my ringtone file and deleted the few messages and emails on phone where I forwarded it to myself or a family member. Putting the phone on silent doesn't seem to work. Once the song starts, I cannot stop it until it plays all 30 seconds. Anyway, I still have the same problem and the song will not quit playing. So, I think you can see my dilemma. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this problem? I thought maybe it had a virus, but no one that I know who has the ringtone has the same problem as me. I did recently install a new update/upgrade of the Blackberry operating system. Do you think it is a problem with the update?

When I disabled stock text and got sms pro it defaulted to this. Has anyone else figured out how to customized these apps? My friend is running a JB rom on his nexus and was able to have something like 10(maybe more) customisable apps located on his unlock wheel.
