How do I get the menu button back on the galaxy s6? It is frustrating that I could not access menu on the apps I use. how to ditch that overly useless multitasking button with a menu button?
View 5 RepliesAfter the last Ota update, I am unable to bring up the menu on Droidfish.. When I tap the floating menu button it pops up and goes back down again.
I tried reinstalling the app and even did a factory reset, but still the same!
Also, is there a way to disable the floating menu button and instead longpress on recent programs button to bring up the menu?
I have been having a few problems with my phone lately. Sometimes when I start the unit up in the morning no icons appear on my home screen although when I go into my apps they are all there. I would have to restart the phone a couple of times before everything would appear. Now I seem to have a permanent problem the touch sensitive buttons on the bottom of my phone for getting to the settings and the 'back' button do not light any more, but they do function.

It came back for like 5 min yesterday afternoon but then started again. I've already done the factory reset and it's still the same way. In the beginning it was once or twice a day but this weekend it has been an all day event. The phone is fairly useless like this. It occurs with all applications as well as text and BB messenger.

Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I noticed that some apps utilize a floating menu button (I think that's because the s6 doesn't have a dedicated menu button?) that appears like a circle with 3 dots on the screen wich you can move around.
However it appears to somehow be broken, as when I tap the button a menu appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears again, not giving enough time to do anything and of course rendering such an app useless.
i know the back button and menu buttom supposed to be white and i checked with 2 friends of mine that also got the s6 and its white in their phones. also the home button is kinda moving but not so much... when i checked with my friends phone it wasn't moving. you think i should use my warranty for such a stupid thing? also the device is original and not fake. the screen sometimes (it didn't happen me in 5 days and today it happend again) the touchscreen stop responding to my finger for about a second. lets say i want to click an app so when i first clicked it it didn't work but when i tap again it worked. i think this is normal because sometimes you dont press very well.. any way. orange back and menu buttons and tell me if you got it to(inside a house,outdoor its white because of the sun) and the home key that is kinda moving (not so much but a little bit more than my friends does)

Made the trade and got $50 back since it was on sale suh-weet!Anyways first thing i did was turn off auto brightness. Normally on my GS2 i would just adjust it myself via the notification bar. Well I decided to go to settings>display then tried to click on brightness. Brightness is greyed out and unclickable. What is up with this? I can change it via the notication bar or the widget to set brightnesses from it, but cant go through settings display to change it.

I installed villaintweaks 1.3.1 as I was told there was a fix fire this. I installed the noise cancellation fix.... But still it remReally would like to get this echo. I don't like having to keep pressing menu-noise reduction off during every call.Also notice that if I remove my protective case the echo disappears completely....but I don't want to leave the phone unprotected.Also, is it possible to fully remove villaintweaks and all of its data(and tweaks that I installed) from the phone? Would a normal uninstall work, or would I have to do something else.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a serious problem with my Galaxy S6. The keyboard and any pop up menu for selection are not visible. I can see the keyboard and any selection menu when I rotate the screen then it vanishes very quickly.
I have disabled keyboard, cleared data and cache then restarted but it doesn't seem to work.
I have wiped all the cache partition, done a factory reset, flashed a stock 5.1.1 but the problem still exists.
On my S5, I have it all working to have vibrate work whenhn pressing back button, texting, etc...This is even with Power Saving on.
My wife's S5 has same setting, but hers does not work unless you turn you Power Saving Off. Her vibrate works on text message but not the back button?
my s6 is new upon 2 days of using it it gave me that problem at random where the back(return) key just works on its own,I brought my phone to the seller and they supposedly fixed it but now im having this issue again,I live in seychelles and I bought this phone from UAE. I cant restart, turn off, use any apps at all, I cant even get into the settings to factory reset anything. I did manage to do a clear up yesterday but it didn't seem to work. I have had the phone for 4 months. I have no insurance on this device, is it even worth taking it into a store? I scanned through the web and found some has encountered the same issue but I haven't found a real solution. I'm actually new at rooting and flashing things to phone. My phone is unlocked and rooted. I did things like - factory reset and asked someone to flash the stock rom for me but the ghost pressing is still there so i'm thinking that i should completely the back button and use an app for replacement. However I don't know how to disable the back soft key.
I have recently switched to from the iphone 4s to the new Samsung Galaxy S5. Everything about the phone is great except the annoying multitasking and back button that i keep accidentally "touch" when playing games, watching full screen vids, etc. Is there a way to make the side "buttons" less sensitive or move it to the home button like the iphone? This way, I can hold the phone with both hands and not accidentally stop what i'm doing by literally/barely grazing those two corners.

Today, I was going to back up my phone but my battery went flat before I could do this and now I cant get the phone back on!! Some have suggested holding down the volume up button then plugging in the usb lead while connected to a computer, it didn't work. I have also tried the volume down button and the home button at the same time while plugged in via usb, this didn't work either. how I can get into recovery mode without using the power button, I really need to get the phone back on, the battery is sealed in.
