View 1 RepliesI've bad echo on voice calls my friends tell me whenever they ring.... As in they can hear there own echo. everything is ok my end. I installed villaintweaks 1.3.1 as I was told there was a fix fire this. I installed the noise cancellation fix.... But still it remReally would like to get this echo. I don't like having to keep pressing menu-noise reduction off during every call. Also notice that if I remove my protective case the echo disappears completely....but I don't want to leave the phone unprotected. Also, is it possible to fully remove villaintweaks and all of its data(and tweaks that I installed) from the phone? Would a normal uninstall work, or would I have to do something else.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the dreaded echo when I'm using the phone and would like to know if there is a permanent way of turning off Noise Reduction as this is the only way I can get rid of it. As I already have a hearing impediment the echo is extremely annoying and having to turn off NR everytime the phone is used strikes me as ridiculous for such an expensive and otherwise marvellous piece of kit; its also a silly inconvenience.
Any hacks that will turn off NR or any chance Samsung will cure this in a software update?
It seems that the tone of my voice is partially seen as background noise by most phones. To the people I'm talking to, my voice is not very clear. I had a Galaxy S3 and there was an option to disable "noise reduction". Any way to turn this feature off on the N5?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI upgraded in July from a LG enV Touch. As the Verizon rep. so correctly pointed out, Verizon currently offers no feature phone that isn't a massive downgrade from the enV Touch. It's probably safe to assume that this isn't going to change anytime soon. Kind of dissapointing. The closest thing to my old phone that Verizon offers is the Droid 3. I remember lusting over the Droid 1 when it first was released, so the 3 seemed like the natural choice. So far I have been happy with the phone. Android has taken some getting used to but beyond that it's a massively better phone than my old enV! I have had a couple of issues though which would be nice to see resolved:- bluish tint from camera. I make part of my living as a photography, so this one bothers me quite a bit. I'm very used to using camera gear that either has very good auto WB or at least lets you tweak the WB for specific lighting conditions.
- Noise reduction settings for the camera. The camera defaults to some pretty aggressive(smeary) noise reduction. I'd rather have some luminance noise than the water color effect. Phone locks up when activating the camera. I have to removed the battery to reboot it. This is one that has sort of been solved, but not in a great way. It was suggested to me that I have photos saved to the internal memory rather than my Sandisk microSD card to avoid this issue. It did work but i'd rather be saving to the SD card from the start.- Airplane mode doesn't work correctly. Once the phone is in airplane mode it will not come out of it. I have to turn my phone off and back on again.- When powering on the phone in silent mode, the phones still makes noise while booting.- Battery consumption seems high all around. I feel like it is even excessive in stand-by.
- This last one is probably not doable... it would be nice to have the option to remove all the garbage Verizon puts on the phone that I will never ever use. I could say the same thing about my enV Touch! Verizon had tons of crap on it that is absolutely of no use to me but obviously consumed system resources on some level.I realized from looking online that a lot of these issues have been brought up before. I don't think it hurts to reiterate that they are actually glitches that many of us experience in day-to-day use.
While on a phone call with anyone, I get a random clicking noise no matter if on speaker, bluetooth, or earpiece of phone. I have already tried pulling back, factory reset, and clearing the cache. Verizon phone on BOG5.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi was using my phone then later i went to get something i heard a buzzing noise coming from my phone and when i clicked the home button the screen was black it wouldn't come on.
i tried switching it on by pressing the home button and power button together but it continued to make the noise and the screen is black. Also i did put it on charge to see if it would come on but it didn't.
i am new galaxy s ii owner. i got this device two days ago and when i was playing with the camera i noticed a strange noise every time i went to the camera app. i tested with other camera apps and updated my firmware via kies and i can still hear the noise. the noise is like ,, two clicks" at every camera startup and that's all. after it my camera's autofocus and everything else works perfectly fine. exact sound i found in one of Internet videos: [url] but his camera does not work and the noise repeats. so my question would be is that noise perfectly fine? or is it just me and i should replace the device?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my S2 for some days now. and suddenly my speaker acts weird. Every time sound is played (keyboard, calls, music, ....) the speaker acts weird don't know how to describe it:
1) It makes the right sound so thats Ok.
2) While playing the sound, the speaker clicks on (you can hear a click).
3) Then it makes a noise (you can compare it when you put your speaker from your PC really loud but ain't playing music or something).
4) After that it makes the click again.
SGS2. I'm on kernel BVKG3 (Orange, UK) so not sure where to get compatible unsecure/secure versions from.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my samsung galaxy S II a few days ago and i'm immediately disappointed by the sound. When using headphones, there seems a small amount of distortion or noise just before each track is played and in between tracks. (Possibly while playing tracks as well). Also, when i stop or pause the music, and then scroll through lists or even just touching the screen at all, there seems to be some kind of audible static noise heard through the headphones. This noise only seems to last for about 5 seconds after i have paused a song, and after that it then seems to be silent again with no noise when i touch the screen.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I ended up returning my GS2 today to upgrade to the GS2 skyrocket since the phone was announced a couple days after getting mine. Made the trade and got $50 back since it was on sale suh-weet!Anyways first thing i did was turn off auto brightness. Normally on my GS2 i would just adjust it myself via the notification bar. Well I decided to go to settings>display then tried to click on brightness. Brightness is greyed out and unclickable. What is up with this? I can change it via the notication bar or the widget to set brightnesses from it, but cant go through settings display to change it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been having a few problems with my phone lately. Sometimes when I start the unit up in the morning no icons appear on my home screen although when I go into my apps they are all there. I would have to restart the phone a couple of times before everything would appear. Now I seem to have a permanent problem the touch sensitive buttons on the bottom of my phone for getting to the settings and the 'back' button do not light any more, but they do function.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a serious problem with my Galaxy S6. The keyboard and any pop up menu for selection are not visible. I can see the keyboard and any selection menu when I rotate the screen then it vanishes very quickly.
I have disabled keyboard, cleared data and cache then restarted but it doesn't seem to work.
I have wiped all the cache partition, done a factory reset, flashed a stock 5.1.1 but the problem still exists.
Have a Galaxy S2 on Sprint network and out of nowhere yesterday the home/menu/back/search buttons stopped working and the phone is running really slow. It came back for like 5 min yesterday afternoon but then started again. I've already done the factory reset and it's still the same way. If I press the call, message, contact buttons on the home screen nothing works. Can someone tell me what to do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed a crackling noise (like bad reception / interference) when placing calls? I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). I start to think I must be old (I'm not) and losing my hearing (I'm not) but then I just realize it's herI don't know if it's because usually when I make a call I just unlock the screen and make the call and it was trying to re-start any data sleeping modes and such or if it's something else...

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Galaxy S II has the annoying habit of having its screen go into idle or sleep mode and then blacken when I'm on a call. I want to have the "Phone" screen showing up at all times when I'm on a call, so I can access the speakerphone, etc. Is there a way to "lock" the screen in "Phone" mode when I'm on a call?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple weeks ago I put a needle (needle and thread) on my phone screen for like 2 seconds, the needle rolled to the side and went between the screen and he side of the phone, as I tried to get it out it went in further and was pushed behind the screen on Saturday I took the phone a part, managed to get the needle out and put the phone back together. Once it was back together I switched it back on and now the call/menu/return and end call buttons are not working. They do click when pressed but they don't actually do anything anymore. So I retook the phone a part just to make sure I didn't snag anything or move anything to which I found I had not.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I tap the phone icon I am presented with ALL activity (calls and SMS) listed by the name of the person called/messaged. I'd like to see just the phone calls I have made/received.
Is there any way to separate these two lists?
I just upgraded to ICS and now my call log screen shows all the incoming text messages I've received as well as the calls. This is the case in both Go Dialer, which I normally use and the native samsumg dialer.
what setting I need to change to make it just show calls again?
I use it when i call it keeps ringing but the phone i'm calling doesn't ring
