My Galaxy S II has the annoying habit of having its screen go into idle or sleep mode and then blacken when I'm on a call. I want to have the "Phone" screen showing up at all times when I'm on a call, so I can access the speakerphone, etc. Is there a way to "lock" the screen in "Phone" mode when I'm on a call?

I just upgraded to ICS and now my call log screen shows all the incoming text messages I've received as well as the calls. This is the case in both Go Dialer, which I normally use and the native samsumg dialer.
what setting I need to change to make it just show calls again?
I use it when i call it keeps ringing but the phone i'm calling doesn't ring

When I look at the "About Phone" section, the Android Version says: 4.0.3
The Baseband Version says: 19100XXLPQ
Build Number: IML74K.XXLPQ
(Cant remember where it used to say Gingerbread lol, but it doesnt say Ice Cream Sandwich anywhere)...
Anyway, since I did this, I can no longer hear people during a call.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm consistently getting an error when trying to backup my call log in Kies (2.3.2.12054_20). I can backup everything else but the call log. I get this on 2 computers I have.
This is the error I get:
Data backup cannot proceed because of an unexpected error. Please connect the device and try backing up again.
Is "Root" required for the call log to be backed up? If so, how is this done on the S II?
Just wondering if anyone else is having any problems with echo problems when maing a call.When I make a call i can hear myself a second after I speak. Does anyone know why this happens and is their anything I can do to stop it.

After I press the end call button, the top bar is lit green and after I slide it down, even though I click on the END button, the call seems to stay alive. I cannot receive nor send calls (getting something like "call not sent"). Is there a known problem with the S2 i9100 or I just got a problematic phone? After 10-15 minutes, the phone seems get by itself back on track: receiving calls.

I've tried the vibrant gps and had no issues. I'm with rogers so the captivate will be coming my way. I also know that most who ***** tend to voice them and those being happy do so away from here! I installed villaintweaks 1.3.1 as I was told there was a fix fire this. I installed the noise cancellation fix.... But still it remReally would like to get this echo. I don't like having to keep pressing menu-noise reduction off during every call.Also notice that if I remove my protective case the echo disappears completely....but I don't want to leave the phone unprotected.Also, is it possible to fully remove villaintweaks and all of its data(and tweaks that I installed) from the phone? Would a normal uninstall work, or would I have to do something else.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen my phone is locked I find on the bottom of the lock screen the emergency call symbol which, if tapped, brings up the option to then dial 999. Problem is with my fat fingers is that I keep knocking this and so bringing up the option to deal. Luckily I've always noticed and then cancelled so no mishaps yet.
