I have a challenge. I have recently moved from Blackberry to SGS 2. I am facing some serious challenge. Whenever i recieve a mail while a call is active or when i am browsing the net or doing both, i seem to be losing messages. they do not appear in my inbox

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy white Galaxy s2 i9100 went off suddenly yesterday while i was browsing. Initially I thought it was the battery since it was around 12%(which is unusual) when that happened. When I put it on charger it refused to charge and when i use the USB cord on my laptop it refused to come on, the laptop cannot even detect the phone. Normally even when the battery is dead when I fix it on the laptop it starts charging right away, but not this time.
I tried hard resetting by pressing the volume up/down + power button but nothing happened. This morning I made some research and found out that it is possibly the IC circuit that needs to be changed. Some people with similar problem even went further by changing the motherboard when in fact it is the IC that needs to be changed.
I cannot take my phone to the Samsung office here since I didn't get it directly from them so I will be seeing a technician to do this for me. I am in Gambia, it is possible our technicians here do not even have the correct tool to do it without damaging the phone for good, so I'm thinking of sending it to Dakar for repair.
I am having trouble deleting my browser history on the default internet app on my s5. I have deleted it multiple times but it keeps coming back in the web address bar, I haven't bookmarked anything either. I don't know how to delete it without it coming back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I call someone or get called, the person on the other end receives nothing but static/disturbance. This is weird as my phone worked perfectly fine before. I can hear my caller perfectly fine, but they cannot hear me. This is high volume rubbish noise, when I shout, a little of voice makes it through, but it's hardly noticeable. Here are a few things I tried:
- Speech recorder: works fine. So it can't be the microphone
- Using headset: My headset filters silence and only 'sends out' voice when it recognizes noise. When Im silent, there is no static. As soon as I speak and the headset registers (and sends) voice, the static on the other end returns.
My Samsung S5 is receiving text messages out of order. If within a conversation I respond in a couple different messages. the next time the person I am talking to responds it is above my response but, should be below it. Is there any way I can correct this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI switched from an iPhone to the S5 in mid december and have had issues with getting texts. I have read a lot about it, so I shut off iMessage on my mac and even disabled my number with iMessage on Apple's site. However, I am still not receiving some texts from iPhones. If they send a text just to me i get it fine (even though they may have to click send as a text message) but I won't be able to get it in a group text. It is frustrating because I can see some texts but not all of them. This has been happening for over a month now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've only had my SGSII a week or so but have been very unimpressed with the battery life I've been achieving - not even a full working day.I've been trying to work out what's going on, but this morning things really seemed to come to a head. I'd charge overnight but within an hour and a half of disconnecting the phone almost half the charge had gone & the back of it felt very warm to touch.
Looking at the battery stats and using the Watchdog program it looks like the Samsung Email app is to blame. I also saw the phone was marked as 'awake' much of the time, presumably due to a partial wakelock from the Mail app (battery history in Gingerbread doesn't seem to actually have partial wakelock as a category but this certainly looks like it). I've got three accounts setup in it - 2x Microsoft Exchange and 1x IMAP. Refresh times were initially push (MSEx 1)/manual (MSEx 2)/15 min (IMAP). I've tried changing them all to 15 min or to manual but it doesn't seem to improve matters. In case it is of relevance, the MSEx ones are imposing device & storage encryption as part of their policies (I've no choice in this).
I am very happy with the galaxy s2 but I can't seem to be able to see all my yahoo mail folders. is this a known issue? someone said you need to install "Yahoo! Mail for Android" but then I have two apps for yahoo mail, how do I disable/uninstall the seeded app so I can correctly identify "unread" mails which is not possible when the seeded app is still running.

I have set up the account but when I try to synchronise, the samsung seems to go into a loop and although it says it is synchronising it justs runs for hours without any end result. There are quite a lot of e-mails on the server but they are all labelled as read except for the most recent dozen so I hope that the phone is not trying to download them all.

All my sms's I receive on my phone show in the inbox of my outlook, (So that part works).When trying to send an SMS from my outlook(Desktop PC) it gets to my galaxy s2, in the mail outbox but doesnt send.why is the text message in outbox on phone and not messaging outbox?If i go into the mail outbox on the phone and try to send it manually it still doesn't send.not sure where to look to solve the issue. (Phone settings or exchange settings)?
The SG-II's built-in mail app has a most annoying "feature":it obviously marks mails that it downloaded as read on the POP server. I would prefer to have them still left as "unread", so when I access my account via Outlook later, they would be downloaded there as well. I realize, that this would mean that I have to re-read them (or mark them as read) again but I would prefer to have ALL my mails in Outlook as well. Currently, if I read my mails via the SG-II but want to keep one of them also in Outlook (e.g for archiving purposes), I have to resend the mail to my second account (which is only polled by Outlook). I find this is most stupid and annoying!
PS.: I do NOT want to switch to IMAP for other reasons and my POP account has worked as I described with Windows Mobile before, so I don't see, why I can't have that same behavior with my Andorid device.
Did I lose this feature? Does Google not support this? I was able to do web browse and talk with my htc one

But it seems that my problem is uncommon since I haven't been able to see any solution to it in last 3 days of googeling.My problem is that I'm unable to use internet browser while talking to someone. Everytime I'm on a call and I open my BB broswer it shows ''A voice call is in process. Browsing will not be possible". I was able to use browser while being on a call in OS5 but not in OS6. However, I'm able to use broswer while being on call if using it through WIFI but not with BIS.

Is there any way to separate these two lists?
I just upgraded to ICS and now my call log screen shows all the incoming text messages I've received as well as the calls. This is the case in both Go Dialer, which I normally use and the native samsumg dialer.
what setting I need to change to make it just show calls again?
