Galaxy S6 :: Not Receiving Calls - On Restart Get Messages Of Missed Calls
Jan 16, 2016My 920I Galaxy S6 has stopped receiving calls, either if I am using the phone or it is locked I won't receive any call, I have to restart my phone to get the messages of missed calls and call them back. I tried many different modems, bootloader, roms and firmwares and nothing has worked. Also, I tried both on WIFI and 3G/4G and it doesn't work.

I guess it happened since I installed BestBlacklist free applications from ovi site. Then I uninstalled that application and even restored factory settings, but notifications didn't come back. At the same time notification lights and logs working OK. How can I make those home screen notifications back?

BB Bold :: OS 7.1 Opening Messages Shows Missed Calls?
Jul 10, 2012We have recently upgraded a few 9630 Curves and 9900 Bolds to OS 7.1 (Curve to 7.1.0.336, Bold to 7.1.0.342) from T-Mobile UK. We have one pressing issue that happens on the upgraded curves and bolds. After a few consecutive missed calls when you go in to the messages application it does not show emails, it shows the Missed calls list. No matter how many times you back out and go back in, Missed calls (only) are displayed. Also the same when you go into the call log. it only shows missed calls. I am not aware of a keyboard shortcut to show missed calls only and do not think that is the case as it has happened to these devices too many times after upgrading to 7.1. Has anyone seen this or can provide any assistance?

Feb 16, 2010I recently deleted 2000 messages from my inbox using the mark all/delete function. It seems though after this process my Xpress Music has started playing up. Text messages are only being received when i switch the phone off then on again they come through. Also, if i have missed a call and hit the log or - show missed calls button, the phone says no missed calls/ no information.Has anyone else experienced this problem and know of a fix?

Apr 14, 2012My iphone 4s receives calls but has stopped ringing, hence I keep missing calls. I have checked my settings, the volume is up and it is not set to silent. I have always had the settings so that it rings and vibrates together, itrs just stopped ringing.
I have been back through ring tones and clicked on it and it sounds, the speaker works also. It would seem all announcement tones have stopped announcing be it text, call, message etc etc.
Its doing my nut in as I I am missing lots of important calls and am finding I spending a lot of my time checking my phone for missed calls.

Jun 7, 2015When I have a missed call my notification only says "Missed Call / Wireless Caller" instead of displaying the name or phone number of the person who called even when they are in my address book. I cant seem to find a setting for this besides the "Notifications on lock screen- Show content" which I have already enabled. I also have "Show caller information" enabled in the call settings.

If I go to the Phone app, under Recent I see all my other calls - incoming, outgoing, and rejected. But it doesn't show me my missed calls. So once I dismiss the notification I have no record of the missed call.

Sep 23, 2015Today I had to turn off my phone for an exam. I'm waiting for a call from a potential employer any day now. I felt confident that even with my phone off, when I would turn it back on it would show me any phone number or contact that tried to call me and left a message. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
I was sure I would get a call today. So I tested it out: I turned off my phone and tried calling it. Goes straight to voicemail, left a voicemail. Turn on phone...no notifications of a phone call or voicemail. So, I called my voicemail and said 1 new message, luckily that was the only one and it was my voicemail. But now I don't think I can turn my phone off ever so I don't miss a call.

For whatever reason, I'm not getting notifications from apps like Bleacher Report, Clash of Clans, Snapchat, ESPN, etc. I've checked my notification settings and none of them are blocked. I literally have not gotten a notification from any of these apps in several weeks.

May 19, 2015So when running Skype on my galaxy s6 (t-mobile variant but it's an app so I thought it might be all variants with this issue).
It will stay logged in and I will keep receiving messages for a short time. Even when I keep running skype in the background I will not receive notifications after a while like more than 30+ mins.
So, I have to launch the app or go through my recents and it acts as it's signing in and then I get my new messages.
It even says before you log out for the first time that you can stay logged on and keep receiving notifications without consuming the battery (which I think is bull, too).
Is it the app of the phone? Or the provider? This happens on data or wifi.

Aug 15, 2015I sometimes don't get notified at all of a new email and I need to refresh the gmail and or it will show on the widget but no notification on the lock screen and or sound or vibrate. I have it set to alert me for every email and it doesn't. This also happens with yahoo but not as often. I do receive notifications right away with my iPad .. Some other apps as well I am notified right away. I have done a wipe cache partition and also cached data delete. I also tried to uninstall the updates and reinstalled and nothing. I'm guessing it has to do with the apps itself because I receive all notifications right away with my texts and fb messages. A little upsetting that I've never had this issue with my iPad, it was either this phone or the iPhone 6 and now I'm having regrets. I'm running 5.1.1 with T-Mobile.

Apr 5, 2015I've been enjoying my new Galaxy S6 for the past couple days but one thing I've noticed is that I'm not receiving any Gmail push notifications. I only ever notice new emails getting pulled in when I open the Gmail (or Inbox) app, and it executes a refresh now that the app is open. If I'm not using the app or my phone's screen is off -- nothing.
I've tried a number of different things, including making sure Power Saving mode is turned off and ensuring that auto sync is enabled for my Google account. I've also made sure that all the appropriate Gmail labels are set to notify me.
One thing I've noticed, in the process of discovery for my Gmail issues, is that when looking at my Google sync information on my phone, the "last synced at" time is usually very out of date.. sometimes it's a couple hours ago, sometimes it's a day ago. I'm wondering if my phone is for some reason just not polling on a regular, more reasonable interval.
FYI I'm getting push notifications from other apps (including Hangouts) as expected.
