Mar 17, 2012Running OS v.5.0.0.1006 (bundle1644, Platform 4.2.0.437). Sometime today the sound notifications stop working on my phone. Vibration still works and I can hear MP3 songs via the handset speaker only {not speakerphone}. I have tried a hard reset by removing the battery and by pressing Alt-uparrow-Del. I checked for available software updates and it stated there are none available. Any ways to restore the sound for my notifications?

Aug 17, 2011As of about a week ago, I have started receiving only about 10% of the messages and notifications from facebook that I used to receive to my Blackberry. 90% of the messages and notifications now just get stuck in facebook and I only see them when I log into fb through my laptop.
As of the last week, every once in a while I will receive some facebook message or notification to my blackberry, but the majority don't make it to my Blackberry and instead just stay on facebook until I open the site on my laptop.

Aug 23, 2010After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing

Sep 26, 2010I recently purchased a Blackberry Curve 8300 from my friend the phone is unlocked to any network, in which i have an o2 UK sim inside, it loads up and the o2-UK logo comes up with a full signal GPRS (in capital letters) but i cannot send texts or make calls and i cannot receive them either.I have tried numerous battery pulls and soft soft resets to no avail, i have update to 4.5 software also, i really like the phone and don't want to have to throw it in the bin:I have registered through the Host Routing Table and received the confirmation email.I have the radio on the phone switched on.I can access the internet and receive e-mails.I can access BB Messenger.

Jan 30, 2010I'm currently away at college in an extended network but the whole 2 years I have been here I have never had a problem with service until this week.
My phone gets text messages and can receive calls at certain time but after a while if you try to make a call or send a text it won't go thru even though I have full bars or close to it.
Its weird I have service for like half an hour then suddently it stops. I have asked people with blackberrys who have verizon in the area and they aren't having any problems.
I have tried taking out the battery/Reset. It worked a few times but these last few days it has not solved the problem.
I already spoke to Verizon and they tried to do some troubleshooting with me.
My phone was working after I talking with Verizon but the problem keeps reoccurring.
Im in an area where I can't call 228 so even when my phone is working I cant update the software.
BB Bold 9000 :: Calls Fails After 20 Secs And Cannot Send Text Messages
Feb 21, 2010Since Friday I've been unable to hold a phone call for longer than 20 seconds and been unable to send text messages. The call fails every time at exactly 10 or 20 seconds. This applies whether the call is incoming or outgoing. I have tried pulling the battery and that fixes the problem temporarily but it usually returns within about five minutes. I am still able to receive text messages.
