My Curve 8300 Randomly does NOT Ring when people call me.. or sometimes will not receive texts untill I make a call or something and when I hang up the inbox will have like 10 new messages that it I guess forgot to download untill I made a call.The big thing is though the ringing,, it will randomly not even ring when someone calls me.

I also have lost the ability to send text messages and emails, as well.Tried removing the battery and resetting that way, and have also done a soft reboot per AT&T's instructions.AT&T has also reset my registration (or something like that) and have verified that nothing in my service plan has changed.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm currently away at college in an extended network but the whole 2 years I have been here I have never had a problem with service until this week.
My phone gets text messages and can receive calls at certain time but after a while if you try to make a call or send a text it won't go thru even though I have full bars or close to it.
Its weird I have service for like half an hour then suddently it stops. I have asked people with blackberrys who have verizon in the area and they aren't having any problems.
I have tried taking out the battery/Reset. It worked a few times but these last few days it has not solved the problem.
I already spoke to Verizon and they tried to do some troubleshooting with me.
My phone was working after I talking with Verizon but the problem keeps reoccurring.
Im in an area where I can't call 228 so even when my phone is working I cant update the software.
I'm not the most technogically astute individual...but I do realize that sometimes new icon will // have appeared on my Blackberry.
This morning...my usual mailbox icon (the world globe with the little envelope)...was gone...and replaced by a tiny orange collored envelope with a larger "invisible" envelope behind it (only visible when the cursor is rolled over to the icon).Any ideas on how to put it back the way it was? (I hate change!)
My 920I Galaxy S6 has stopped receiving calls, either if I am using the phone or it is locked I won't receive any call, I have to restart my phone to get the messages of missed calls and call them back. I tried many different modems, bootloader, roms and firmwares and nothing has worked. Also, I tried both on WIFI and 3G/4G and it doesn't work.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I am only receiving a portion of my emails on my 8330 blackberry curve. I have had my carrier's support desk (Verizon) walk me through procedures to make sure I am capable of receiving these messages (which I am receiving on my computer, but not all show up on the blackberry).........and now I am hearing from Verizon that I need to contact Blackberry support. Is there a # to call? I don't know where to start. I can see on the Blackberry email setup icon that I have my verizon email address listed there with the correct password (and again, I am receiving some messages, just not all). Am I missing something here?
p.s. Also, I can't tell a difference between the emails that show up and those that do not...it's not like it's all the 'gmail and yahoo' messages that I don't receive, for instance...seems to be random.
i wiped my 8310 and now i dont recieve any alert tones for my emails. i get all the rest of them but not emails. how can i fix this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a curve 8330 through verizon. for the last two days i have been receiving all of my emails constantly every hour. i have over 400 "new" emails in my inbox, most of which i have already received and have been receiving for the past two days. they are all coming in at the same time and have flooded my inbox and are slowing down my phone. i went to verizon yesterday and they re-freshed my connection with gmail but it didn't do anything to help.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been experiencing the following issue on my Verizon Curve 8330 for approximately the past 2 weeks, ever since I upgraded from 4.5.0.138. I'm currently running 4.5.0.175 (Platform 3.4.0.55).In approximately 80% of the calls I make or receive, I get a very sharp, very loud feedback noise in the call. This occurs if I am using the handset, the speakerphone, or a Bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager 520). Callers have not complained about hearing the same noise so I believe it is just on my side. The noise can happen at any point during the call and often occurs in bursts - say, 2 or three "chirps" in the span of a couple of seconds. I've wiped the handset completely twice and clean-installed 4.5.0.175 from a local copy. It has had zero effect on the issue.Any suggestions?

It shows up in the top right hand corner of the screen and looks like the service signal bar graph only reversed w/ the larger bars on the left and getting smaller moving right. They also have a white plus sign at the top of each blue bar, background is a black box. Anybody have any idea what this is for and why it only recently came about?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I'm on the phone with someone - anyone, regardless of locaton - I hear intermitent "beeping" sounds on my end of the phone. These are not system sounds or calendar alerts, they sound a little bit like feedback or R2D2 sounds. They come and go but sometimes they are totally annoying. I have asked the people I'm talking to whether or not they can hear the sounds, and they have reported that they can not. I called Verizon and they said they had never heard of this problem before.Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything that can be done about it?

When you click on a contact and press send (the phone number is in the contact with area code), it rings once and says that the call cannot take place and it is an incorrect number. When you hand-dial the same exact phone number and press send, it goes through. Any ideas on how to fix?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
orange dont have a clue. I get SMS messages from 40001, 91240, with AL (then a small black square) r. They come at all times and i have to turn off phone at night. I have tried texting stop back , they seem like network based messages, and i think it may be due to wifi or reception as they seem to come through when entering or leaving wifi areas or going in and out of reception
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo yeah, my wives 8310 battery reports between 50-100% charge, and if she is in a call, bam it shuts off, and will only turn back on, on charger. I would think it was battery BUT; this happened every day while in California, we went to South Carolina for the holidays (whole month of december), and it happened only once.OS is up to date, I upgraded to latest to make sure that wasn't the issue, happened following day (in Cali)and battery is 2 y/o. I have 5 text messages that will not delete from my phone. I have tried:
a) delete
b) selecting them all and delete
c) going to the date and delete all prior
d) soft reboot with power off
e) hard reboot of removing battery with power on
I have deleted other messages before and after these, so it is just these 5 that will not go away!
I had gotten my blackberry 8330 at Christmas. From then to now, whenever I would send an sms, receive an sms, get an AIM message, get a myspace message, send anything of mms, receive mms, it would ALL appear in the same folder, the "general messages" folder. Now, when I get a message, i have to go to the sms inbox, or the sms outbox to see them. I do not want my messages categorized, so can anyone help me find a way to put all of my messages back into the general folder like before.
When I get a new message, I go to messages and it says there are no new messages. When I go to "view folders" then to my sms inbox, there it is. I would like to see my messages on the "main" message screen, without ever having to go to "view folders" .
This is a new problem that I have been having. It is with a blackberry curve. I will make an outgoing call and it will say connected, but there is no ring. When the person i am calling picks up i can hear them. I am not sure if I switched a setting?
