BB Curve 8300 :: My Flash Light Stays On Constantly?
Mar 24, 2010My son brought me my phone yesterday and the flash light was on. I don't know what he did to it but it will not turn off even if I power down my phone. I have tried reseting and it doesn't work. Any ideas? I am also getting the error message when I open my camera that I must close other applications before it will let me run my camera.

Sep 4, 2012My 9000 will not turn on. The red indicator light comes on and stays on for approx 1 minute. The screen then switches to white battery with a red "X" through it. I have tried other batteries that were verified to be good with the same results. I have tried other wall chagers with the same results.
I have repeatedly left the phone on charge for several hours, removed the battery and replaced it after a few moments with the same results.
This issue started after the battery became very depleted after leaving the phone on bedside mode overnight. The phone had been operating without any issues up until this point. It is approx 2 1/2 years old.
All my contacts are on the phone and have not been backed up or saved on the sim card.

Nov 25, 2015While I was charging the phone with lead to my PC i turned the phone on, Then blue light LED came on and nothing else happens next.. i have tried all the buttons, and everything fails. I even wiped the Data on the phone too!
When i try pressing the different buttons to start the phone it comes up as normal with samsung galaxy s6 powered as android then after that just black screen with the blue led light stuck on, but when i charge it it goes to charge screen when i press power button and down..

Jan 19, 2010I'm using BB Curve 8320. My keyboard keys and trackball do not light up. Not at night, not ever. When I go to screen/keyboard options the only type of light I can edit or adjust is the screen backlight. I've read about how to cover the sensor near the led but I don't even see the sensor. And what would that matter since its already dark and its not working?
To note, I just got this BB from my mom a few days ago and the keyboard light hasn't worked since I've had it and I haven't asked her about it. Although, there was one time randomly during the day the keys lit up and the trackball, so I know the light works...Is there an option menu I can go to? Its frustrating typing this out at night and same with texts.

Feb 2, 2010I installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?

Jun 28, 2010I have had my curve for a little over two months now && havent yet had really any problems until about a week ago...I've noticed that out of seemingly nowhere, the red LED light will start blinking like I have a message or something and when I check to see if there are any new messages, there arent. I still get new messages and everything works correctly as far as I can tell, but that damn light will start blinking out of nowhere and it annoys me and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to stop it. the only thing that fixes it is a battery pull and it happens probably every other day. i have smrtguard installed on my phone and idk if maybe the light blinks when its doing an antivirus sweep on my phone or what.

My T-mobile 8320's trackball has learned the new trick of only working when the phone is in bright light!The symptoms: If the keyboard light is on, the trackball doesn't work. If the keyboard light is off, the trackball works normally. The trackball light never goes off, but stays at least dim even when the screen is blanked and the keyboard light is off. In fact, it is on even when the phone is in the holster.The phone has never been abused, nor experienced water or anything.
I've done the battery pull to no avail, and played with the keyboard/trackball settings and the backlight settings with the same results.T-Mobile says to try a master reset. I'll do that after I figure out what data is on my phone that will need replacing.

Bought a new battery - seemed to do the trick. Now after a couple of weeks with new battery - the battery sign with / through it is appearing again and I can not seem to get to start up at all. When I connect my device and try to see the media using the music, pictures, or video buttons on the desktop manager it says I need to turn on mass storage mode however when I check the device settings under options/media card/ the settings are as follows:
Media Card Support ON
Encryption Mode NONE
Mass Storage Mode Support ON
Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected YES
I'm at a loss as to how to make this work as everything I read says the settings are correct.

Apr 5, 2010My Blackberry Curve 8330 is having a problem with the voice dialing spontaneously turning on. Occasionally (about 1/4 of the time) when I try placing a call, the sound is muted-- as in I cannot hear ringing on the other end. When I hang up, the phone initializes the voice dialing feature. It continues to pop up up at 3 second intervals, at which point I can no longer receive or place calls. I can write texts and receive them, but because the voice dialing keeps popping up, texting isn't an easy task! This continues all day and I must restart the phone for it to stop (does not work all the time).

May 6, 2010I have a blackberry 8330 and the flash won't turn off for some reason. I lost it in the snow a few months back but everything works fine other than the flash. I went to camera flash settings and turned it off but nothing. Even when I turn the phone off it stays on and wares down the battery.
