View 3 RepliesMy son brought me my phone yesterday and the flash light was on. I don't know what he did to it but it will not turn off even if I power down my phone. I have tried reseting and it doesn't work. Any ideas? I am also getting the error message when I open my camera that I must close other applications before it will let me run my camera.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using BB Curve 8320. My keyboard keys and trackball do not light up. Not at night, not ever. When I go to screen/keyboard options the only type of light I can edit or adjust is the screen backlight. I've read about how to cover the sensor near the led but I don't even see the sensor. And what would that matter since its already dark and its not working?
To note, I just got this BB from my mom a few days ago and the keyboard light hasn't worked since I've had it and I haven't asked her about it. Although, there was one time randomly during the day the keys lit up and the trackball, so I know the light works...Is there an option menu I can go to? Its frustrating typing this out at night and same with texts.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a 8350i through Nextel. A couple of weeks ago my BB shut itself off and then turned itself back on. I did not think much of it until it started happening very frequently. When I say frequently, I mean every 10 minutes. Quite frustrating for a phone that I use for work. I took it to a local service department but they did not know what was going on so they just swiped the software and reloaded it. This resolved the issue for about 24 hours and then it has started again. It was sporadic again with about a day between each one but it has since become a very frequent issue again. It is happening about 5 times a day that I know of.I am currently running Version 4.6.1.313.

View 3 Replies View Relatedsecurity wipe (not done on purpose ) deleted all my contacts but nothing else . Is there any way by any means to get them back ? No sink backup was mad prior to this and just now have a computer to use to do this or anything else . the security wipe had something to do with spelling blackberry and entering a password . The reason was to delete a certificate but once I enetered the password the screen went white ----a progress bar appeared and when it was done and rebooted all my contacts were gone and the cert was still there.

So, I'm pretty sure my phone is fried - thanks to the wireless software update that my phone told me to download yesterday from Blackberry.Little update icon pops up on the screen telling me that there's a software upgrade of high importance so I tell it to download over the air. About half an hour later, my phone starts flashing and comes up with a quick screen that says "rolling back java" with a status bar that stays at 99% and then power cycles and does the same thing. I had to take the battery out - it's power cycling every minute at least. It won't do anything else, and my blackberry desktop software doesn't recognize it. I left the battery out overnight so the power cycling didn't drain the battery and as soon as I put the battery back in, it just goes back to its little java msg and power cycling.Any ideas? I will be taking it in to Telus later today. I'm assuming that it will have to be sent away and re-flashed and I will have lost everything on it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy phone phone turn off by itself about 3 hrs ago. It will not turn back on, the icd light is flashing red. Seems like to me it's flashing 2 longer flashes then 2 small one straight away. Continuously repeats this with 20/30 seconds between each. I have tried plugging it into my laptop but is not connected.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am on a curve 8310 I think it is with an annoying flashing blue light. I think it's a cross between a white and blue as it's a pale blue light. I have turned off every notification I can find, email, text, facebook etc. I have deselected the LED option ( changed to none) I cannot figure how WHY this light keeps blinking. I've taken the battery out, i'm at my wits end.

Recently I got a broken Iphone 4S from a friend and he told me he dropped it, so it doesn't show anything at all. I thought it was a LCD problem so i bought a new lcd screen from amazon and well it some-what works. I hear siri and it vibrates a couple of times (vibrates when i plug it to a charger) but the screen is off , nothing no light or anything, also the light in the back is always on (it did that before). My question is whats the issue now? and is it still fixable? Also i can't connect it to itunes because of password and i don't know how to unlock the phone through the computer. In addition, I already tried holding the home and power button for 10-20 seconds, even holding just the power button...

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had a problem with the back light dying? Twice it has happened to me. One time it came back with a battery pull and once I had to do a full reload of the OS.I've had the phone since Sept 09 and this is the only problem I've had, but it is a big pain in the **** when I have to reload the OS, since I have to get another activation code from my IT department.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI had a bit of an accident with my iPhone about 8 weeks ago, some tool spilt their drink down my leg, which got liquid into the docking port of the phone (sensor has been tripped) The backlight died and the phone wouldn't play sound out loud, although if it was rang it was fine (??) I left it switched off and the next day it started to function normally again.couple of weeks later and the backlight has died again, this time for good. i've tried resets etc, and it looks as if it needs a hardware repair, an LCD screen one would assume. The phone has been opened by a 3rd party, and they quoted a £110 repair, so i've decided i'm going to buy the part and fix it myself.
Will replacing the LCD solve the problem, as i have read of occasions where this has not fixed a backlight problem?Any ideas on where I can get the cheapest deal on a replacement 3GS LCD screen?Could this be a problem thats related to something other than LCD?
