I had to wipe my phone and have everythign set back up. When i did the email set up and entered my yahoo info, it all worked BUT i dont have my yahoo mail icon. I have the generic email icon (envelope with globe). I want to get my yahoo mail icon back, any ideas?

I just got my 8330 a week ago and I cannot figure out how to make an icon appear when I have a voice mail. My husband has the 8350 and he is notified under "messages" on his start screen that he has voice mail. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I'd really like to set it up like my husbands phone, but I would surely settle for an icon on my screen.
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy Yahoo Mail icon decided to go missing (again) after I did a battery pull. Normally, I can resend service books once or twice and it'll pop back up. This time, however, no such luck. I've resent services books (around 20 times or more). I've deleted service books all together and then resent them. I've deleted the email all together and readded it. I've tried with another Yahoo address. Nothing is able to bring back my beloved icon. Does anyone else have any ideas as to how to bring it back? I really hate the mail icon with the little globe and I'm pretty sure I'd do whatever it takes to get my Yahoo icon back.

Since then, my Yahoo! mail icon has been replaced with a generic Blackberry email icon. Based on suggestions I have seen online, I have tried removing and reinserting the battery, as well as deleting and re-adding the email account in the BIS website. Neither of these worked.

I suddenly lost inbox/outbox Yahoo mailings on my G3 phone after Sept 2. I never changed any settings. I still can use my Yahoo Mail account on the laptop with no problem. I do notice that when I go into settings, a message states that the phone was last synchronized on Sept 2. When I attempt to re-set, the phone remains on Sept 2.

I deleted the Gmail COD's because they supposedly cause a battery drain, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I have resent service books several times, and still nothing.
View 14 Replies View RelatedAbout two weeks ago my Nokia 1020 suddenly stated giving me an error message when I clicked to synch my Yahoo mail account. It worked absolutely fine for over a year. I have made no changes to the phone OS nor added any new apps. I changed my password and then retried - still not able to get mail. All of my other email accounts are still working fine. I can get yahoo mail on my iPad just fine. I have deleted the account, rebooted the phone and created a new instance of Yahoo mail and still it does not get to mail.

I have a Cellular South 8330 that I activated on 12/10/09. Everything was great until it started deleting e-mail by itself on the handset. I went back in to the store where it was purchased and was told that I needed a memory card so I bought one. Same problem occurs. I went back to the store and was told that I had to save everything to the card. The salesperson changed a setting on my phone and told me I would not have that problem again. Same problem occurs. I was then told by a former Cellular South employee that I needed to clear the event log. Same problem occurs. I have even posted this issue on blog section of the Cellular South website. No response. I had the Curve with AT&T for two years and never had that problem.

If I check a message on the BB and mark it as read, then it is okay on the computer. But, if I open a message on the computer, it is still listed as unread on the BB. How can I fix this?

I wiped the phone so I could put my information on and recently checked a post that if it wasn't for work purposes you didn't need a blackberry password to set up my personal e-mail address and the password was only for work related e-mails.
Can someone confirm if this is the case and also how I set it up otherwise as it just keeps asking for a password and wont let me add mine on without it.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a 8350i through Nextel. A couple of weeks ago my BB shut itself off and then turned itself back on. I did not think much of it until it started happening very frequently. When I say frequently, I mean every 10 minutes. Quite frustrating for a phone that I use for work. I took it to a local service department but they did not know what was going on so they just swiped the software and reloaded it. This resolved the issue for about 24 hours and then it has started again. It was sporadic again with about a day between each one but it has since become a very frequent issue again. It is happening about 5 times a day that I know of.I am currently running Version 4.6.1.313.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
I have Yahoo and GMail on my BB. With GMail I can use Google Sync to sync contacts, calendar etc automatically. Also with Google Sync, any replies you do on your BB are automatically updated in you Gmail.Now, the question is, is there something like that for Yahoo? I have searched and don't seem to have had any luck. The closest I can come to is actually looking at my Yahoo account on the browser, but that's not what I want.

View 1 Replies View RelatedE-mail reconciliation is not working for me with my Gmail account. When I read an e-mail on my BB, it isn't being marked as read in my Gmail. It also isn't working the other way: when I read an e-mail on my computer, my BB doesn't mark it as read.
How can I fix this? E-mail reconciliation in my options is already turned on.
security wipe (not done on purpose ) deleted all my contacts but nothing else . Is there any way by any means to get them back ? No sink backup was mad prior to this and just now have a computer to use to do this or anything else . the security wipe had something to do with spelling blackberry and entering a password . The reason was to delete a certificate but once I enetered the password the screen went white ----a progress bar appeared and when it was done and rebooted all my contacts were gone and the cert was still there.
