Apr 30, 2012I suddenly can't access yahoo mail. The icon shows new messages, but when I tap it, it opens to a blank screen and then reverts back to main menu screen.

BB Bold :: Yahoo Mail Disappeared - Cannot Reload Account
Sep 12, 2012I had my yahoo email account set up on my BB Bold 9930, with it's own icon. Suddenly, it is gone. I do have a separate email account on an enterprise server. Both were running fine for months.
1. I tried going to my email>options>email account management>set up email account
The account is now listed as existing, but the emails (or icon) are not showing anywhere on my BB. Emails are not showing up in the main email inbox.I also marked SHOW ALL ICONS and also looked in all folders for a separate Yahoo icon like I had before. Nothing.
2. I tried downloading a Yahoo mail app
I cannot find any that do not give me a "app not compatible with BB 9930"

Apr 12, 2010I have a Blackberry Pearl Flip 8230 by Verizon, and had to delete & resend my service books. Since then, my Yahoo! mail icon has been replaced with a generic Blackberry email icon. Based on suggestions I have seen online, I have tried removing and reinserting the battery, as well as deleting and re-adding the email account in the BIS website. Neither of these worked.

When I search for 'mail' the icon is there, but it is nowhere in my screens or on the permanent bottom 4 app icons. How do I get it back and why would it disappear? It was there last night?!

Jul 2, 2012My boss switched from blackberry to iPhone and is having difficulties with his email. He keeps EVERY email he receives on his computer, but does not want to keep them on his phone. Is there any possible way to delete an email off of the iPhone but keep it on the server? He uses Yahoo Mail & Novell Group Wise.

Apr 3, 2010I was having memory and battery issues so I reloaded the new OS. Now, I can not get the Yahoo mail icon back on my phone. I deleted the Gmail COD's because they supposedly cause a battery drain, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I have resent service books several times, and still nothing.

Apr 10, 2010my Yahoo Mail icon decided to go missing (again) after I did a battery pull. Normally, I can resend service books once or twice and it'll pop back up. This time, however, no such luck. I've resent services books (around 20 times or more). I've deleted service books all together and then resent them. I've deleted the email all together and readded it. I've tried with another Yahoo address. Nothing is able to bring back my beloved icon. Does anyone else have any ideas as to how to bring it back? I really hate the mail icon with the little globe and I'm pretty sure I'd do whatever it takes to get my Yahoo icon back.

Feb 2, 2016About two weeks ago my Nokia 1020 suddenly stated giving me an error message when I clicked to synch my Yahoo mail account. It worked absolutely fine for over a year. I have made no changes to the phone OS nor added any new apps. I changed my password and then retried - still not able to get mail. All of my other email accounts are still working fine. I can get yahoo mail on my iPad just fine. I have deleted the account, rebooted the phone and created a new instance of Yahoo mail and still it does not get to mail.

Sep 1, 2012I am having issues receiving all of my messages on my blackberry curve.I receive most but some I never get. I have a yahoo email account that is forwarded to the blackberry device.My carrier is AT&T. I tried taking out the SIM card, taking out the battery etc. but nothing seems to be working. Sep 30, 2012For the past 4-5 days I have only been receiving some of the emails that are on Yahoo Mail when checked online. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. Two emails from same sender - sometimes only one will be on BB inbox. There are not any filters set up on the BB.I have tried resetting to factory default and restoring to a backup from BB Desktop. I can send emails fine from the BB - sometimes the auto BCC works sometimes not. The Torch is about 11 months old and worked perfectly prior to this.

I know it was there earlier today since I went in to see if there were any BIS 3.0 changes (I didn't see any).Now it's gone.I still have all my e-mail accounts set up and they appear to be working fine, but the setup icon is gone.Has anyone else noticed this issue?Is there something going on with BIS? Now all of a sudden, when i switch the phone on, java script error msg's appear, also which is most frustrating,, my inbox icon has disappeared & i cant send or receive messages. It was displaying "cannot get mail" and couldn't connect to the server, even after I updated my password on the phone. It seemed like it was reverting to my old password, even after I successfully changed it.Â
I switched to trying to access Yahoo through Mail - Other and it worked. I can receive my e-mails, but now it is not letting me send outgoing mails. It says "doesn't accept relays".

Mar 29, 2012I have an iPhone 4S. It is on the current IOS 5.1 (9B179). Everything has been working fine, but earlier this week, I lost all of the contacts associated with my Yahoo account. I have tried the following:
- recycled the iPhone (full power down)
- turned off/on the contracts for the Yahoo account
- dropped the Yahoo account completely and readded
- confirmed that the contacts are still on the Yahoo account (via browser)
- confirmed that the contacts are visible on another device (iPad 1 with latest IOS version)
- waiting >24 hours with the Yahoo account re-added to determine if it would resolve itself
In all cases, the net result is the same. The iPhone can connect to the Yahoo account fine (email and calendar are no issues), but when selecting all contacts or even the Yahoo specific contacts, the iPhone is blank, but the account has >100 contacts.

Mar 28, 2012I received an iphone 4 from my company about a week ago. I inputted my Exchange account and my Yahoo! account and added the Yahoo! carddav file and everything worked perfectly... for a week. Yesterday, one by one, my contacts were dissappearing. My son's name was gone, just his phone number in my favorites; several of my contacts disappeared.
I deleted my Yahoo accounts from my phone, readded them, and nothing! I've even delted my Exchange account to see if that was an issue and only had the Yahoo account active, and still nothing. Do I need to move all my Yahoo! contacts to gmail? Is there a solution or reason why Yahoo! is not syncing?
I read that if you sync your phone with Itunes, you can collect your yahoo contacts, but here is my question. Does syncing Itunes and Yahoo via usb stop the data from wirelessly syncing also?
My goal is to not to have to plug my iphone into my computer to sync my contacts.

Jun 7, 2010This is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.

I have an iphone and setting an e-mail account was peace of cake. Nokia drives me crazy. I did factory defaults and everything but nothing seems to help. I can access internet by wi-fi and by my operator (successfully browse the WEB).
