My boss switched from blackberry to iPhone and is having difficulties with his email. He keeps EVERY email he receives on his computer, but does not want to keep them on his phone. Is there any possible way to delete an email off of the iPhone but keep it on the server? He uses Yahoo Mail & Novell Group Wise.

How can i do it when i dont use them at all and access rediffmail directly? gmail and yahoo id have been configured properly and working fine.

A few days ago my Yahoo Mail stopped connecting, and I started seeing the above noted error message (Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed.) While it won't retrieve messages, it will let me send. So at least SMTP seems to be working OK.Â
I've tried deleting it and adding it back, but to no avail. I've rebooted the phone. I've and any combination of options found on these boards.Â

I have tried to configure this several times and ways. some messages will remain on the server but most wont. I have to be doing something wrong but danged if I can figure it out. it happens on both my email acct. gmail and yahoo!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI created a POP3 account using the "Accounts" app. All is good, it can send & receive emails & they appear in the Blur messaging widgets, which I like.My problem is that I do not want the phone to delete the emails from the server as I get my main PC's Outlook to download & store all the emails when it is switched on.Can it be done? View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is really bothering me.I have a yahoo mail account set up on my phone - It has been on there for over a year - it has always worked this way - If I get an email (the phone goes "bing") and i read it on the computer - and responded and delete it on the computer it would be removed from the phone the next time i looked. Recently I began noticing that the message is not being delated from the phone if I delete it from the mailbox, and I can't figure out why.
Basically I want to be able to read the message on the computer and hit delete and for it do the same thing on my blackberry and vise versa. Now it seems to work if I delete the message on the BB then it will not be in the Mailbox on the computer.
I recently upgraded from the D1 to the D4 and have my Hotmail account set up via Corporate Sync. Incoming messages sync correctly but messages I delete on the phone do not delete from the server. On the D1 the two-way sync worked correctly for emails deleted on the phone but I can't seem to get it to work on the D4.My settings for the corporate sync account are:Username: full @hotmail email addressPassword: passwordServer: m.hotmail.comUse secure connection: yesProxy: blankAnyone else having this problem? View 1 Replies View Relatedabout 6 months ago my mother in law purchased an Iphone. I set up her email for her using a pop 3. At the time I could not get the godaddy outgoing email server to work so I used my local ISP provied outgoing smtp server with my user name and password.
Now my mother in law moved to a different sate and she got a new iphone but my outgoing mail server still shows up as the primary outgoing mail server so she still needs my user name and password.
Also on my iphone I noticed there are 8 "other smtp servers" in addition to the primary. I want to delete them all.

Since the upgrade I no longer have the option to delete e-mails on handheld only or on the server as well. I really enjoyed having the option to delete totally or just from my handheld and then view the mail later on my pc.When I delete a mail from my BB now, it just deletes it from my device and leaves it on the server without the option to delete it there as well.

Two emails from same sender - sometimes only one will be on BB inbox. There are not any filters set up on the BB.I have tried resetting to factory default and restoring to a backup from BB Desktop. I can send emails fine from the BB - sometimes the auto BCC works sometimes not. The Torch is about 11 months old and worked perfectly prior to this.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am brand new to the iphone (5s) and have a problem when I delete email from phone it also deletes it from the server and it's not available to on my PC inbox. I found the area in settings where it shows what happens to the deleted email on the phone and server. It sends the deleted message to the trash folder on both the phone and server. On the server, it shows all the various folders in my account including the inbox, but the inbox is greyed out and I can't change to that. Is there a setting somewhere where I can make it stay in my inbox on the server.Â
