iPhone 4s, ios 5.1, Verizon customer. I have never had an issue until this phone. Why I can see the "delete from server" option, but I can't check it? It's really annoying to delete emails from my phone and then have to go back and delete from my computer.

I upgraded my 9360 OS recently from OS 7.0 to v 7.1.0.336, Platform 9.6.0.51. Since the upgrade I no longer have the option to delete e-mails on handheld only or on the server as well. I really enjoyed having the option to delete totally or just from my handheld and then view the mail later on my pc.When I delete a mail from my BB now, it just deletes it from my device and leaves it on the server without the option to delete it there as well.

After literally spending two weeks with my service provider telephoning most time waiting in witing for a call center agent to get connected to and being each time transferred to another division to a last being transferred to the divission where I first started at speak meoving in a cricle and no one being able to help me and this whole theater every day the same for two weeks, I am turning now to the people here hoping I could find some answers
1) My provider in Switzerland is sunrise (BIS), so I went on to the website sunrise.blackberry.com and entered my existing accounts, 4 of them. Additionaly I registered a new blackberry email address to be able to use the true push service which is xx@sunrise.blackberry.com (xx being just a placeholder for my real name). The problem is though that I haven't been able to find out the mail settings I have to enter into my Mail Programm on my PC so I can access the emails on my computer. I dont know if it's a pop server, an IMAP server and not to speak of the mail settings of the server settings for incoming and outgoing email. Since it's actually a BlackBerry server I figured that the servers are BB managed (no one at Sunrise Switzerland even knew what BIS is or that you could receive PUSH mail with the Blackberry email).
2) I tried to register a new email address at https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html for a direct xx@blackberry.com email address thinking that maybe with this, it would easier to find infos about the settings. The problem here is that I have to enter my PIN (no problem) and ESN/MEID number. The Problem is that I haven't been able to find those numbers now mather how hard I tried; they are not even listed in options>status.
about 6 months ago my mother in law purchased an Iphone. I set up her email for her using a pop 3. At the time I could not get the godaddy outgoing email server to work so I used my local ISP provied outgoing smtp server with my user name and password.
Now my mother in law moved to a different sate and she got a new iphone but my outgoing mail server still shows up as the primary outgoing mail server so she still needs my user name and password.
Also on my iphone I noticed there are 8 "other smtp servers" in addition to the primary. I want to delete them all.

My boss switched from blackberry to iPhone and is having difficulties with his email. He keeps EVERY email he receives on his computer, but does not want to keep them on his phone. I'm trying to setup a new exchange email account on an iPhone 4. This is normally pretty straight forward, however, on this particular phone I can't get into the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings. When I go into Settings and click on it, the screen flicks up into the settings for a second and then boots me out of settings and back to the main display
I have tried restarting the phone to no avail and checked to make sure it has the latest software update. Is there anything else I can try before I resort to resetting back to default settings?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a POP3 server that I use with my BB and with Outlook. Messages I read with the BB get left on the server and I get them with outlook just fine. However, just in the last couple of weeks, messages I SEND from the BB also get left in the sent-mail folder on my mail server, which has been causing my mailbox to fill up if I don't log in every couple of days and delete them. How do I turn that off. I see no option either in the Messages application or in the Email Setup Wizard that controls sent mail.

I have my own mail server. When my iPhone is on the local WiFi, it can log in and read mail. When it is on the 3G connection, it gets the message 'The mail server "intellexcorp.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in the Mail settings.' The setttings are unchanged. There is no firewall on the server computer. I can't see why the same settings would have a problem connecting. No other services, including mail and remote access have a problem accessing this computer by name or by IP.

Cannot Get Mail The connection to the server failed. I've deleted and re-added my exchange account, done a hard reboot and even reset my network settings. I had already had my exchange account up and running for a couple of weeks when one morning I woke up to that message. Since then I can't get back in.

AT&T Outgoing Server cwmx.com is not working for me at all any more. Around June 7th, it just stopped working. I keep getting the, "No server response". I have an iPhone 4G, OS5.1.1 I deleted the cwmx.com outgoing server and readded which did not help. I deleted the "pop" email accounts and readded them which did not help. I reset the network settings; the factory settings; then restored the phone back to a date previous to the problem. None helped.

So my gmail address list or contacts seems to have been hacked and all my contacts who are still talking to me have told me so.So I changed my gmail password.No more complaints, and probably no more friends as contacts.Â
But seriously, I have been able to get gmail (web) working with my new double authentication password(s). Also, my outlook for MAC is working using the special "generated App Password". (because Outlook cannot do the double authentication thingie)Ditto for the gmail app from google on my iPhone. (it works too).BUT I cannot get the iPhone Mail App to connect to Gmail.
I have deleted (i thought) my existing gmail setup from my iPhone. When I try to re establish the gmail settings, using either the password generated by the MAC / iCloud keychain generator or the App password, I get the message "My Name" is already added.
It looks to me that there is something in the iPhone that matches my gmail address, even though I deleted the account.Â
