today my company's email provider changed the hostname for the Exchange server, so I'm stuck with my E72 not syncronizing any more, since I can't edit the server name field in the configuration properties.First of all: is this behavior by design? Because in case it is, the "Change" item in the Options menu should really be removed.

I can't believe it. With PC Suite I my N900 will sync all 1500 of my contacts. I just deleted my contacts on my phone and got Mail for Exchange to work...it brought only 512 contacts across from my server. I hope that the others are not now marked as deleted on my phone and will be removed from the server on the next sync.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've purchased an E7 yesterday and proceeded to try to get Mail for Exchange set up with work.When I entered the value for the "Server name" I entered (the equiv of) myserverdomain.com/owa. The connection failed to connect and I suspect I should have simply put the domain name (not the owa bit) BUT when I go to "Options > Settings > Mail for Exchange > Mailbox" I cannot change the "Server name" field - tapping it does nothing.More generally, I CAN edit: { Mail, Password, Include Signature } and I CANNOT edit { Mailbox, Username, Servername, Domain).
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy very small company uses Exchange Server 2003 to host our own email. On my laptop, I use Outlook. When I'm out of the office I connect my laptop to the internet and access my exchange mail via an IMAP account. With that connection, I can send mail using the SMTP server. I got my new Atrix 2 and set up that account using the advanced settings that were the closest to the settings I use for the IMAP account in my Outlook setup. I was immediately able to see my inbox and receive email. After one tweak (that I can't remember any more), I was able to sent mail. Then a few hours later, I couldn't. I've tried every possible combination of the Advanced Settings in the Account Setup screens on the phone. Nothing works. I tried a Master Reset and all that accomplished was flushing away the contact list that the salesperson had copied to my new Atrix from my old phone when I bought it. I thought that was backed up to Google and would be restored when I logged back in but apparently not. Any advice on how to get that back? But the main problem is sending mail.

i am having neo v. which is running on latest 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.a.0.62 , while tring to configure the corporate mail using exchange active sync , i am getting error "phone does not support required security feature".My echange server(2007) have 10 min screen lock , 5 digit pin and 10 password attempt as secuiry policy. which my neo v not able to do it.it look like the phone does not support device administration which is required for server to enforce security on phone. when i tried to configure my mail in other phone which is also running in 2.3.4(Samsung and dell xcd with default email client) , i am able to do without any problem.

I am trying to set up an exchange mailbox on iphone 5 running iOS7. After entering the proper parameters, I receive error "Cannot Get Mail - The connection to the server failed."
I know the server parameters are correct because I have entered the exact same parameters for another users mailbox and mail loads perfectly fine on the iPhone. I dont believe the issue lies with the parameters but maybe the individual mailboxes? Are there settings on our exchange server i should be comparing between the mailboxes to determine why one mailbox loads fine while the other does not?
Could it be an issue with iOS 7 ? Is there a guide or something that will show how the users mailbox settings should be set on exchange 2010?
I verified the device shows up when i log into the users OWA account > Mobile Phones, but still unable to load mail. There are no other devices in the mobile phones section so there shouldnt be a limit issue. Â
I've set up Mail for Exchange with my Gmail account and, while it does seem to get emails, it also keeps poping up the box asking me to enter the password, which I have obviously entered before and it is remembered. Half the time I unlock the phone, the popup is there.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with some things that I havent been able to figure out by now and this is my last resort where to find answers. This issue is really bugging me. After literally spending two weeks with my service provider telephoning most time waiting in witing for a call center agent to get connected to and being each time transferred to another division to a last being transferred to the divission where I first started at speak meoving in a cricle and no one being able to help me and this whole theater every day the same for two weeks, I am turning now to the people here hoping I could find some answers
1) My provider in Switzerland is sunrise (BIS), so I went on to the website sunrise.blackberry.com and entered my existing accounts, 4 of them. Additionaly I registered a new blackberry email address to be able to use the true push service which is xx@sunrise.blackberry.com (xx being just a placeholder for my real name). The problem is though that I haven't been able to find out the mail settings I have to enter into my Mail Programm on my PC so I can access the emails on my computer. I dont know if it's a pop server, an IMAP server and not to speak of the mail settings of the server settings for incoming and outgoing email. Since it's actually a BlackBerry server I figured that the servers are BB managed (no one at Sunrise Switzerland even knew what BIS is or that you could receive PUSH mail with the Blackberry email).
2) I tried to register a new email address at https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html for a direct xx@blackberry.com email address thinking that maybe with this, it would easier to find infos about the settings. The problem here is that I have to enter my PIN (no problem) and ESN/MEID number. The Problem is that I haven't been able to find those numbers now mather how hard I tried; they are not even listed in options>status.
my iphone 4 (verizon) is connected to my home wifi but it's not working! when i go on Internet is says that it cannot connect, same with any other app that requires internet. it has the wifi symbol and everything. what's weird is that when i turn off my wifi (then 3g symbol replaces the wifi symbol) i am able to connect perfectly! i've tried all i can think of to fix this. restoring, rebooting, turning off and on again, forgetting my network then connecting to it again but nothing works!

I own an iPhone 3GS, and have recently upgraded it to iOS 6.1.6. I was able to connect to Wi-Fi using a Netgear Cable Modem with WiFi capability. But the internet service provider upgraded this equipment, replacing it with an ARRIS Touchstone Data Gateway DG1670 cable modem with Wi-Fi capability. Unfortunately, I have discovered that I'm unable to access the Internet while connected to Wi-Fi, while using my iPhone 3GS, running iOS 6.1.6. I am completely able to connect my MacMini, a smart-TV, and an iPhone 5 to this ARRIS device with Wi-Fi. Â
I have contacted my internet service provider and they tell me that the problem is with my iPhone 3GS, not with their equipment. We very meticulously went through all the troubleshooting steps, but to no avail. I have also read all the Apple Knowledge Base articles here about configuring an iPhone 3GS properly, and I have also followed Apple Knowledge Base articles concerning optimal configuration of an internet modem with Wi-Fi capability. I like my iPhone 3GS, it works well, but now I cannot sync it to iCloud, and now I must have Wi-Fi turned off to make it usable. I also understand that iOS 6.1.6 will be the last upgrade for the iPhone 3GS. If this is true, then I'm sadly disappointed with Apple's inability to keep up with technology.
I've been connected to my work email account through Microsoft Exchange for the past year with no problems. I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. My IT dept. says no changes were made, and I've already tried a restore and restored from a backup, as well.I have no contacts, emails, or calendar on my phone!

View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are currently running a test of a variety of Nokias - E52, E72 and E75 at my work. However, one user (using an E52) is experiencing problems with Mail for Exchange. She cannot send emails at all. An error message pops up saying "Unable to complete command" and then exits composition mode when trying to create a new email. I have been in contact with the tech support guys at work who're in charge of the Exchange server, but this user's account is just like everyone else's. We have tried doing the *#7370# trick several times as well as even swapping units - the units work with other users. Just not her. The phones are installed with the latest available firmwares, by the way. What do we do?

This is normally pretty straight forward, however, on this particular phone I can't get into the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings. When I go into Settings and click on it, the screen flicks up into the settings for a second and then boots me out of settings and back to the main display
I have tried restarting the phone to no avail and checked to make sure it has the latest software update. Is there anything else I can try before I resort to resetting back to default settings?

I got Nokia E75 and tried to set up my Hotmail via Microsoft Exchange (since hotmail allows to do this). But every time it sync, I receive the following error "Unable to sync. Contact administrator if problem persists." All my data including calendar, contacts and also received mail, is synced except sent e-mails. I really need all this stuff being synced!

However, I'm unable to access web servers or services on my own LAN.First spotted when I tried to set up the 'Mail' application and creating custom settings to connect to my own IMAP and SMTP server on IP address 192.168.0.199. The mail app would inform me that the server was unreachable or words to that effect.Using both the Nokia web browser and Opera, I have since tried connecting to a local web server again on 192.168.0.199 and both browsers replied with address unreachable. Have also tried connecting to my router on 192.168.0.1 and again I get address unreachable.My phone connects to my wi-fi with address 192.168.0.15 - and with gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS 192.168.0.1 as per any other device on my network.I have also tried doing exactly the same thing on a Nokia N8 - and the N8 is successfully communicating with local servers.I'm running v14.53 and had same problem with 14.23.

View 5 Replies View RelatedShortly after I got my iPhone 4S, I added my gmail account to the mail app (not the gmail app),so that I could read my email on my phone, and specifically not using the Gmail app, but using the email app, and adding the Gmail account as an Exchange Server so that my Google Contacts would sync to the device. It worked for weeks. Now, suddenly, it says wrong password whenever I try to check my email. I have removed it and added it back. I did not change anything on my email account configuration that would cause this.
Since it happened, though, I have removed the account and re-added it. It seems that it would stop me from adding the account if I were using the wrong password, but it lets me add the account with no problem, and only gives the wrong password message after that, when it tries to begin downloading emails.
I have typed in the password enough times today to make sure that I am typing it in correctly. I have been able to log into my gmail account via the web successfully (proving that I do know my own password). I even downloaded and installed the gmail app and was able to use it to get to my email. But that leaves my phone with zero contacts, because I keep all my contacts in Google Contacts, and the Gmail app doesn't seem to add any contacts to the contacts list on the phone. I need it to work the way it was set up & working before today. I don't know if Apple changed something, if Google changed something, or what. I would think that there would be others using this functionality who may be similarly stuck.
So my question is: How can I access my Gmail account from my iphone and have my google contacts brought into the phone's contact list, and constantly synchronized with Google contacts, like I had going before today? With the addition of iCloud, it gets really confusing really quick. The simple solution that I was using was so nice. I will be sad if it is gone for good...

However, when I'm somewhere that has non-AT&T WiFi (Chick-Fil-A, Panera, etc.), I can connect -- with a strong signal -- but I'm unable to access the internet. I get a message about the server not responding.
