I can't believe it. With PC Suite I my N900 will sync all 1500 of my contacts. I just deleted my contacts on my phone and got Mail for Exchange to work...it brought only 512 contacts across from my server. I hope that the others are not now marked as deleted on my phone and will be removed from the server on the next sync.

Because in case it is, the "Change" item in the Options menu should really be removed.

Emails, contacts and calenders etc get synced with our exchange server but e72 shows connected but the emails or the contacts des not get downloaded (synced). I tried this with E71 same problem. But on iphones and android etc. based handsets it works absolutely high.

I've purchased an E7 yesterday and proceeded to try to get Mail for Exchange set up with work.When I entered the value for the "Server name" I entered (the equiv of) myserverdomain.com/owa. The connection failed to connect and I suspect I should have simply put the domain name (not the owa bit) BUT when I go to "Options > Settings > Mail for Exchange > Mailbox" I cannot change the "Server name" field - tapping it does nothing.More generally, I CAN edit: { Mail, Password, Include Signature } and I CANNOT edit { Mailbox, Username, Servername, Domain).
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy very small company uses Exchange Server 2003 to host our own email. On my laptop, I use Outlook. When I'm out of the office I connect my laptop to the internet and access my exchange mail via an IMAP account. With that connection, I can send mail using the SMTP server. I got my new Atrix 2 and set up that account using the advanced settings that were the closest to the settings I use for the IMAP account in my Outlook setup. I was immediately able to see my inbox and receive email. After one tweak (that I can't remember any more), I was able to sent mail. Then a few hours later, I couldn't. I've tried every possible combination of the Advanced Settings in the Account Setup screens on the phone. Nothing works. I tried a Master Reset and all that accomplished was flushing away the contact list that the salesperson had copied to my new Atrix from my old phone when I bought it. I thought that was backed up to Google and would be restored when I logged back in but apparently not. Any advice on how to get that back? But the main problem is sending mail.

i am having neo v. which is running on latest 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.a.0.62 , while tring to configure the corporate mail using exchange active sync , i am getting error "phone does not support required security feature".My echange server(2007) have 10 min screen lock , 5 digit pin and 10 password attempt as secuiry policy. which my neo v not able to do it.it look like the phone does not support device administration which is required for server to enforce security on phone. when i tried to configure my mail in other phone which is also running in 2.3.4(Samsung and dell xcd with default email client) , i am able to do without any problem.

I currently have Exchange account and I synchronize contacts (and other info) with the server. I want to decouple the Exchange server and my iPhone, (for example, if I delete all the contacts on the Exchnage server I want to keep them on iPhone).
If I go to Settings/Mail/Exchange and I set Contacts to Off, I imediatelly get a warning messate that all my ActiveSync contacts will be removed from my iPhone.

I have googled quite a bit without finding a solution. I have an MS Exchange mail account which I set to manual sync. Works fine. I have also told the SII not to sync contacts from my MS Exchange account. However, if I search for a contact in my contacts list the SII also searches on my Exchange server--which creates traffic I do not want and a lot of hits since I work for a large company. Is there a way to tell SII not search for contacts on my Exchange server?

So, when I purchased my Droid 2 last year, there was no problem importing them into the phone with the exchange server. But, when the number increased above 1500, I noticed that the phone only accommodates 1487. note that I don't import contacts from other sources like Google or a social networking site.

I do get a message about invalid certificates on Firefox. On the N900 I get the message "either exchange requires secure connection or account is disabled".

I have downloaded an SSL certificate copied from old windows mobile device (so i know the certificate is good). The certificate says it installed on the Lumia but I am still getting error message saying certificate is not trusted. I suspect the certicate is installed in the wrong place on the phone.

I have tried to move one subfolder containing like 30 folders from Mailbox to a root and then back.

-I then key in my username, it still wont connect
- I Press Advanced
- Then I key in the Server (Webserver) without the "https://"
- The Sign in button is gray and it wont connect
- I uncheck the SSL option, no cange
- I've mailed the SSL Certificarte, and tried both with SSL on an SSL of, still the Sign In button is gray.

Good day. I'm a very happy Blackberry customer but I have a bit of a problem though. Facebook is a everyday encounter and I use it mostly for business purposes. My Blackberry encounters an error every time i access Facebook mobile as I don't use the app. The error reads: "Exceeded maximum redirect attempts to server m.facebook.com." It's funny though as it only does this with a particular facebook account. I Restored the device to factory settings and most common troubleshooting operations have been performed. I now don't know what to do now.

I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my E72 for around a week, and have exprience that having trouble for fetching emails, calendar and contacts using Mail for Exchange.I'm using a 3G SIM card with unlimited data usage so that no need to setting up a Wifi connection for internet broswing, and all of the settings which is come from my SP.I can even go for internet broswing but can't retrieve any contents about Emails, Calendar & contacts via Mail for Exchange with Google account.All of the settings are refer to http://www.google.com/sync .

Is this a server side failure or MfE Error? Before my hard reset, I've had a Error code of -15032 with MfE : 21/04/2010 00:11:36 Mail For Exchange Error -15032. What's the Error code meaning for?
As a business we run Exchange 2007 and we now have 2 E72's using MfE to connect with the exchange servers.
Both of these users are former E71 users and were very happy with the E71, hence why they went with an E72 as they were reliable. It would seem that's not the case.
The main E72 (my bosses!) is taking forever to Sync and when it does it's hit and miss. he was at the other office last week and over the phone myself and a colleague had to remove all the settings, remove the mail sync connection in exchange, remove basically anything to do with the Exchange profile on phone a server to only then allow it to re-sync!
So to say he is a little annoyed with the phone at present is an understatement. To say I am fed up with it is probably not the best words but they will have to do with in a public forum.
It has the latest firmware... it's the 3rd Revision from what I have seen for this model. It should work with out all these issues.
The E71 with version 4.0 firmware and MfE 3.0 is a pocket rocket. Why is it then we can't have the E72 do the exact same thing? It would certainly mean that the next time my boss travels he doesn't have to worry about his phone having issues?
Can we please for the sake of lost hair, get an update that allows Nokia E72 users to download from Ovi MfE 3.0 and get some stability into this phone so that it works correctly? Either that or get a firmware that has the latest version of MfE built into it and is stable so support guys around the world don't have to wear the phone when their bosses get fed up with them!
Honestly, you built an E71 to work fantastic, how hard is it to get your latest product to the same type of specifications. It's almost a downgrade what you have produced.
Lastly Nokia, an update on when a new and hopefully better firmware for the E72 is availble would also be a godsend. I get asked everyday at the moment if there is a new one out. I would like to be able to provide an answer so we can live in hope these issues will be fixed.
Hello, I just bought an XpressMusic 5730 phone and wanted to sync with my Linux laptop. I've been told the best way to do this is through gmail, which requires Mail For exchange (if I've understood correctly). I've been able to download it for a 5730 on the nokia website, but upon trying to install it says I'm using an incorrect version.Is Mail for Exchange available for my phone or not? The manual makes mention of it being one my options when configuring the phone, but all I can see is Email and Nokia Messaging.

I tried to mark all as unread and then mark them back as read to solve the problem but it doesn't work. The Mail for Exchange reports that it has no new email i.e.

But still the top left icon for new email appears. I do not have any other mailboxes defined in messaging. Please help me with this problem.
I got my E72 yesterday and am quite impressed with Nokia Messaging so far (I previously used RoadSync on my N82 for syncing with our exchange server). One thing that's bugging me, though, is that when emails come in to one of my subfolders (this is the Mail for Exchange mailbox), there is no new email notification on the main screen.Is that right? Can anything be done about this? Like most people, I filter all my work emails into subfolders, so I need to know when something appears in one of them. If I can't change this, I'll need to go back to Roadsync. Any ideas or comments?

But when I get through the email set-up wizzard I get to the section Mailbox type and I am only given the options of POP3 or IMAP4....and not Mail for Exchange which is what I need. So I can't get my emails.
