I have updated to 2.2009.51-1.002. I can access my exchange server over a web browser, so data connection is working, and I have the right details. I do get a message about invalid certificates on Firefox. On the N900 I get the message "either exchange requires secure connection or account is disabled".
I had previously set up my mini pro to sync with my company's exchange server, first when it was running 2.4, and maintained the data when I upgraded to ICS.
It stopped working last week, so I erased the data and thought I could re-configure it again. However, no matter how many times I input the various settings, it still won't create the account.
Is this an inherent problem with ICS running on mini pros? Or is the manufacturer pushing me towards the bundled Moxier Pro app?
today my company's email provider changed the hostname for the Exchange server, so I'm stuck with my E72 not syncronizing any more, since I can't edit the server name field in the configuration properties.First of all: is this behavior by design? Because in case it is, the "Change" item in the Options menu should really be removed.
I have just bought a Lumia 800 for my MD but I can't get it to connect to our exchange server. I have downloaded an SSL certificate copied from old windows mobile device (so i know the certificate is good). The certificate says it installed on the Lumia but I am still getting error message saying certificate is not trusted. I suspect the certicate is installed in the wrong place on the phone.
I have a problem setting it up to connect with my works exchange server.
- I put in the email and the password, it wont connect
-I then key in my username, it still wont connect
- I Press Advanced
- Then I key in the Server (Webserver) without the "https://"
- The Sign in button is gray and it wont connect
- I uncheck the SSL option, no cange
- I've mailed the SSL Certificarte, and tried both with SSL on an SSL of, still the Sign In button is gray.
Since it is Windows on the phone, there should be no problems connecting with MS Exchange i should think. This have been working quite easy with my iPhone and HTC with Android.there I just keyd in Mailadress, username, password and server.
I can't believe it. With PC Suite I my N900 will sync all 1500 of my contacts. I just deleted my contacts on my phone and got Mail for Exchange to work...it brought only 512 contacts across from my server. I hope that the others are not now marked as deleted on my phone and will be removed from the server on the next sync.
I've been connected to my work email account through Microsoft Exchange for the past year with no problems. I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. My IT dept. says no changes were made, and I've already tried a restore and restored from a backup, as well.I have no contacts, emails, or calendar on my phone!
I bought my E72 for around a week, and have exprience that having trouble for fetching emails, calendar and contacts using Mail for Exchange.I'm using a 3G SIM card with unlimited data usage so that no need to setting up a Wifi connection for internet broswing, and all of the settings which is come from my SP.I can even go for internet broswing but can't retrieve any contents about Emails, Calendar & contacts via Mail for Exchange with Google account. All of the settings are refer to http://www.google.com/sync .
Refer to the Mail for Exchange log, my MfE is Build : 2.01.000, device SW Ver : 023.00225-Jan-2010RM-530(c)Nokia, so it seems is the latest verions and updates. Before my hard reset, I've had a Error code of -15032 with MfE : 21/04/2010 00:11:36 Mail For Exchange Error -15032. What's the Error code meaning for?
I have 9000 BOLD and have already add a POP account. Is it is possible to add a new exchange account? I tried but with no success. We have BIS program active with COSMOTE-Greece.
I have Nokia e51 and I've tried to configure MfE on it the same way it works on my other Nokia phone (5230), but although the settings are exactly the same, I keep on receiving "System Error" while synchronizing the email (it looks like this translated from Polish I click 'synchronize' it says 'connected' 'synchronizing email' 'sync failed. Contact your administrator if the problem persists'). The email account is Gmail. My settings:
Connection: Exchange server: m.google.com Secure connection: Yes Access point: (no matter if I set WiFi or WAP or Internet - it doesn't change anything) Default port: Yes Credentials: Username: [my username]@gmail.com Password: [my password] Domain: [empty] Sync schedule: Always On Calendar, Tasks, Contacts: [all disabled] E-mail: Synchronize Email: Enable E-mail address: [my username]@gmail.com (the same as above) Show new mail popup: Yes Use signature: No Signature: [empty] When sending mail: send immediately Sync messages back: 1 day
Everything is as the setup instructions for MfE at Google Support says and , as I said, it works perfectly on Nokia 5230. The log says: "System error, try again later"
The funy part is that I've tried using two different e-mail accounts: they both display that error but the one that works on my other Nokia apparently downloaded the mail (although it still shows errors everywhere, even the log says it didn't work). The MfE is the most current, I've downloaded it from Ovi store today (3.00.050), my Nokia software is updated too (410.34.001).
My iPhone 4S isn't syncing with Exchange server, when i have deleted emails and or filed them via my laptop. Currently lapton says i have 60 email in inbox, and iPhone says 118.Also i have noticed that iTunes isn't opening when i connect the iPhone to my laptop. Both iPhone and iTunes is on the latest verison of OS.
The contacts on my iPhone comes from my Works Exchange server. I leave leaving my work on Friday. Once they disable me on the work exchange server, will I loose my contacts on my iPhone? Is there any way of saving these contacts that are already on the phone?
I'm having an issue with IOS 5.1.1. Since Monday, my iPhone is downloading emails from my Exchange (outlook) account like it always has, the problem is, when I delete an email in Outlook, it's not deleting from my phone. Similarly, reading an email in Outlook doesn't mark it as "read" on my phone. This leaves me at the end of the day with hundreds of unread/extraneous emails on my phone that I have already addressed, filed or deleted in Outlook. How do I correct this?
This is weird because it has worked correctly with everything syncing properly up until this week, and I did not update anything.
I'm using a PC for the Outlook - same PC as always, and no updates unless my company updated something remotely without my knowledge.
I have set up my email account using the "Exchange" option when I added it. Already tried deleting and re-adding the account (twice).
I carried out the gingerbread FOTA update yesturday, and now I cannot sync with my exchange server. It worked fine before the upgrade. I even deleted the account and tried to re-configure with the same server and domain details, but all i get is a message saying it failed to connect to the server
I can't sync with exchange server after upgrading to ios 5.1.1. have restored and reset phone and also have deleted the account and added back in; still no luck
I am functioning on an exchange server. I am finding that e-mails opened on my bb are open in Microsoft Outlook on my desktop. However, e-mails opened on my desktop are remaining unopened on my BB. The two will not reconcile, my handheld is taking precedence over any changes made on the desktop in outlook
I'm trying to set up my Exchange email with the Enterprise Server, but when I go into the Setup Wizard and then email setup, I get a screen that says: Status: Initializing service (Desktop) with the word "Cancelling" above that. I can'tget past that screen to input my password. Any ideas how to correct and move past this screen?
Whenever i set up the exchange mail account, i have to set up a pin or password to unlock my phone. When i want to change back the pin / password to a pattern, i cant and it says: "disabled by administrator encryption policy or credential storage"
Normally the reply on this post would be, your company has set up these minimum requirements for security purposes and you cant put up the mail/agenda unless you accept the terms of the company.
The weird thing is, my company doesn't`t require any security measures at all. If you want to swipe to unlock, you can (well, other people can ).
I have hunted around for this answer but haven't found it.I was so excited to read about BES Express as I thought it would finally allow full sync between my exchange server and my Bold 9700.However... my server is hosted (I am a one man band!). Will BESX be able to be integrated on to a hosted exchange server? Or will it be solely and only for people with their own exchange server? Initially I thought it was just going to be software to install onto my phone but I now think it will need to be installed server side. Also, will it possibly be available do you think as a fully hosted solution, in the same way as some providers offer hosted a BES and Exchange solution? i.e. a hosted BESX and Exchange solution? I'd be really interested to know your thoughts. I was so excited and now it seems that my excitement was misplaced!
Inputing calendar appointments on my iphone and they do not show up on my exchange server calendar. This operation was previously working before IOS5 update.
I currently have Exchange account and I synchronize contacts (and other info) with the server. I want to decouple the Exchange server and my iPhone, (for example, if I delete all the contacts on the Exchnage server I want to keep them on iPhone).
If I go to Settings/Mail/Exchange and I set Contacts to Off, I imediatelly get a warning messate that all my ActiveSync contacts will be removed from my iPhone.
After the last update (v50) on my nokia xpressmusic 5800 I have no longer access to my internet connection thru WLAN. It shows the error message "Invalid Server Name". My router (DLink WBR1310) uses WEP encryption. How do I solve this problem? Should a hard reset fix this problem?
I just upgraded my Nokia 5800 to the latest firmware and now my WLAN always gives me the 'INvalid Server Name' issue and also my vibration alert has stopped working for all profiles. please HElp.I have tried everything on the other discussion board. It dosent help.
I've purchased an E7 yesterday and proceeded to try to get Mail for Exchange set up with work. When I entered the value for the "Server name" I entered (the equiv of) myserverdomain.com/owa. The connection failed to connect and I suspect I should have simply put the domain name (not the owa bit) BUT when I go to "Options > Settings > Mail for Exchange > Mailbox" I cannot change the "Server name" field - tapping it does nothing.More generally, I CAN edit: { Mail, Password, Include Signature } and I CANNOT edit { Mailbox, Username, Servername, Domain).
