today my company's email provider changed the hostname for the Exchange server, so I'm stuck with my E72 not syncronizing any more, since I can't edit the server name field in the configuration properties.First of all: is this behavior by design? Because in case it is, the "Change" item in the Options menu should really be removed.
View 2 RepliesI've purchased an E7 yesterday and proceeded to try to get Mail for Exchange set up with work.When I entered the value for the "Server name" I entered (the equiv of) myserverdomain.com/owa. The connection failed to connect and I suspect I should have simply put the domain name (not the owa bit) BUT when I go to "Options > Settings > Mail for Exchange > Mailbox" I cannot change the "Server name" field - tapping it does nothing.More generally, I CAN edit: { Mail, Password, Include Signature } and I CANNOT edit { Mailbox, Username, Servername, Domain).

I was trying to send out an email today, and my iPhone could not connect to the server. I tried to re-connect multiple times, ultimately deleting the email account from my phone and attempting to re-install it. When I put in all the info into their respective fields and hit "next," all I get is a message that says "Exchange account verification failed." When I go through and save it anyway and try and update emails, it says that it cannot connect to the server. My IT dept. says no changes were made, and I've already tried a restore and restored from a backup, as well.I have no contacts, emails, or calendar on my phone!

I just deleted my contacts on my phone and got Mail for Exchange to work...it brought only 512 contacts across from my server. I hope that the others are not now marked as deleted on my phone and will be removed from the server on the next sync.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy very small company uses Exchange Server 2003 to host our own email. On my laptop, I use Outlook. When I'm out of the office I connect my laptop to the internet and access my exchange mail via an IMAP account. With that connection, I can send mail using the SMTP server. I got my new Atrix 2 and set up that account using the advanced settings that were the closest to the settings I use for the IMAP account in my Outlook setup. I was immediately able to see my inbox and receive email. After one tweak (that I can't remember any more), I was able to sent mail. Then a few hours later, I couldn't. I've tried every possible combination of the Advanced Settings in the Account Setup screens on the phone. Nothing works. I tried a Master Reset and all that accomplished was flushing away the contact list that the salesperson had copied to my new Atrix from my old phone when I bought it. I thought that was backed up to Google and would be restored when I logged back in but apparently not. Any advice on how to get that back? But the main problem is sending mail.

i am having neo v. which is running on latest 2.3.4 build 4.0.2.a.0.62 , while tring to configure the corporate mail using exchange active sync , i am getting error "phone does not support required security feature".My echange server(2007) have 10 min screen lock , 5 digit pin and 10 password attempt as secuiry policy. which my neo v not able to do it.it look like the phone does not support device administration which is required for server to enforce security on phone. when i tried to configure my mail in other phone which is also running in 2.3.4(Samsung and dell xcd with default email client) , i am able to do without any problem.

I'm currently developing a website experience for a minecraft server, but connections made to this server from my E63 abort after 1-2 seconds (100% of the time). I can't fully load the website (any page that takes more than a second to transfer), nor can I authenticate on the irc server (phone stops receiving data while ident is timing out).
This is the only server I've found that causes this problem (I do not use it to browse a great number of sites), but once I find out what the problem is I'm in a position to fix it.

When a computer is accessing the internet through the phone it can access these sites fine. As it's both the irc and http demonstrating these problems I can't blame either of them. There is no alternative code on the httpd server that reacts differently to mobile browsers.
since Friday28th of October, in the morning I am experiencing a rather unpleasant issue: my Nokia E6 dos not connect to my company's email IMAP email accounts. I take the opportunity to report other 3 issuesI have 2 emails accounts @mycompany.com that were regularly being used. I did not update the firmware nor performed any changes on the phone, all of a sudden the E6 does not connect with the email accounts, there is no error message.I tried the following:1) Re-entered the password of the email account, I confirm this is right2) Created one of the email accounts that were on the E6 on 2 other devices (Ipad and Palm Pre), they work perfect, both on Wifi, on my operator,(Orange) and on an other phone operator (Swisscom)3) deleted one email account, from the E6. I restarted the phone (by holding the button 8 seconds) and recreated the email account, this is not possible, I get the following error message:" service temporarily unavailable. Try again later. "4) I repeated the test (point3) both on WiFi and using the 3G operator. I got the same errorOn the E6 there is also a Gmail account, which works flawlessly.Using the email is not an option for my business, so I wish that THIS TIME I will get an effective reply from NOKIA. ( NOKIA don't tell me again that I have to use OVI account or my mailprovider does not work, because as explained I tested the settings on other devices.

Formatted memory card, *#7370# hard reset, reinstall f/w and still MfE fails to sync. Via a Blackberry and IPhone sync works fine, via phone browser to Outlook OWA access works fine too, so I'm assuming Activesync is fine server-side but something broken in new build.

My mail for exchange has locked up. The little wheel icon spins but it does not update. I normally just find the "full resync" option that deletes the content and then resyncs. This generally fixes any glitch. I did a software update last week and I have spent about 3 hours trying to find it. My software version is 211.12.01 date 31-03-01 custom version 211.12.01.204.04 date 26-08-10 I got this from *#0000#Can anyone tell me the how to access the full resync and if as I have heard rumoured it is no longer available how do you now achieve a resync?
