Asha 30/40 Series :: Unable To Access LAN Web Server And Services?
Oct 29, 2012
I seem to have a problem with my Asha 302.I can connect to my home wi-fi and access the internet with no problems at all. However, I'm unable to access web servers or services on my own LAN.First spotted when I tried to set up the 'Mail' application and creating custom settings to connect to my own IMAP and SMTP server on IP address 192.168.0.199. The mail app would inform me that the server was unreachable or words to that effect.Using both the Nokia web browser and Opera, I have since tried connecting to a local web server again on 192.168.0.199 and both browsers replied with address unreachable. Have also tried connecting to my router on 192.168.0.1 and again I get address unreachable. My phone connects to my wi-fi with address 192.168.0.15 - and with gateway 192.168.0.1, DNS 192.168.0.1 as per any other device on my network.I have also tried doing exactly the same thing on a Nokia N8 - and the N8 is successfully communicating with local servers.I'm running v14.53 and had same problem with 14.23.

I bought a nokia 300 because I can't use my smartphone at work, I have downloaded Nokia PC suite and transferred my data from my faithful but dying E51.....I uploaded the data onto the Asha 300 and it was apparently successful according to PC suite, the phone says it has all 670 contacts, but I can't access any. The sim only holds 200
I have Nokia Asha 302, fw v.14.78, MfE v.1.0.5.Problem:In most cases sync fails with error:[ERROR] - Thu Oct 04 14:22:24 GMT+01:00 2012: Unexpected exception running SynchronizingState. I can't acces anything, the touch is wornking since the phone vibrates in response and the icons turn red as when u click on them but nothing happpens, i stay in the main screen no matter what, i cant recieve calls, the phone tells me i got signal and even shows shows my carriers name, but when someone calls my phone appears to be turned off. I tried re-installing the software from nokia suite.
I bought an unbranded 6700 classic on amazon and I tried to disable internet access completely.
So in the first place, there is no option to disable packet data or internet access at all... I can only choose between on demand and always online... thx for that!
I tried to make new hoax profiles with made up usernames and passwords for those data links and access points and set them as defaults but this phone always just connects to the internet by edge after all...
I also can't just delete my provider's access points which seem to be sitting on the sim card or however that works...
if there is a "reliable" method to block data/internet access? On sony ericsson devices there is at least some kind of workaround which works by setting the access points to ask for a password before they actually connect.. but in this phone there doesn't seem to be any option to protect myself to go online by accident..
Im having prob in playing music files as it is showing the msg of "not enough memory" Secondly Im unable to connect my phone to pc. i have tried pc suite 7.1 and 6.6. None of them are able to recognize my Phone.
My asha 300 automatically restarts when I open the collection folder. I want to restore to factory settings but I'm affraid that I'll lose all my conversations. Therefore, I can't use Whatsapp.
it is a very good affordable phone. But i am not able to read pdf files(ebooks) on it. Is there any way to read ebooks on it such as pdf reader software??
I am using a nokia x2-00 phone. I recently did a factory restore and went on to format my memory card. I am using the default opera mini browser (provided with the phone) for browsing the net. I have an active working internet connection too. My question is ' i used to download ringtones, songs, games etc through my opera before the factory reset, but after the reset i am unable to download anything via new links or new tabs. I can't even download the new ovi store update.
I bought a Nokia C3-01 touch and type last year in the beginning of June. It's been a bit funny from time to time, but near Christmas it turned itself off and the camera stopped working. In January, the touchscreen started to become unresponsive and difficult to operate, to the point where I am often unable to get into the phone. And typing a text / navigating around the menu is an absolute nightmare. I've tried to calibrate the screen, but that doesn't help, as it doesn't recognise that it's being touched sometimes.I haven't dropped the phone or got it wet. I don't use the internet on it either, so I presumably can't have a virus.Would it still be under warranty? I've had nothing but trouble with it and it certainly reinforces the notion of 'buy cheap, buy twice'.
I am using Nokia Asha 311. I could not find the option to delete a single call entry from the call log.In messages, it gives the option to select the mesage but when I select a single message it also selects the All messages checkbox.
i am unable to get the settings of yahoo and ovi mail when i try to use the email setup wizard. it always says no settings found at the Nokia server. press ok 4 more options. when i click yes, it asks me if i would like to enter the d settings manually. but i don't know what the settings are.

I want to install a collins dictionary .jar application in my nokia 2690 suite via bluetooth. It's around 8 mb big. However, an error occurs saying that the file is too big. First I used the ovi suite and then Windows explorer. It failed both the times. Should I try using a data cable instead?
We bought a Blackberry Curve from Vodafone on Thursday and are still unable to connect to the Blackberry services. We have taken the battery in and out and tried numerous times.
Our contract states that we should have 24EBB, 50m, 250t, 100m per month.
I had no problem with sending sms till I sent MMS once and it didn't work. The symbol of moving envelope just came up in the upper part of display and it didn't disappeared since. From that moment I cant send any SMS or MMS, I can receive them but not send. I tried to reset phone, change my sim but the problem is still the same - I cant send sms or mms and the symbol of envelope is still there. My memory isn't full and everything seems to be fine.
I have a Nokia 6600 Slide with the latest software (V6.55). I was successfully using Nokia Maps GPS navigation having purchased a license key for UK/Ireland in January 2011. I have an external bluetooth GPS device. Howver, the Maps license key has now expired (as expected, it was a 1-year licence). Without a license I cannot use the voice-guided navigation function. When I go throoug the phone menus to purchase a 1-year license again, I get to the menu that asks which payment method I wan to use (I select Visa). At this point the screen just refreshes, with no message or error code. I am not asked for payment card details. I cannot get past the "payment method" menu.
This process worked just fine for me in Jan 2011 when I first purchased a license, and other web browing functions using the built-in web browser are just fine. I have tried refreshing the Nokia software (It was already at V6.55, which is the latest level).
