The "Mail" icon App on my iphone 3G just disappeared! I've reset the phone, checked settings. I can still access the internet through Safari, but the entire "Mail" icon is gone! Vanished into thin air in a matter of seconds!

This morning I noticed the mail app icon disappeared from the 4 icons in the last row (with phone, safari and music). When I search for 'mail' the icon is there, but it is nowhere in my screens or on the permanent bottom 4 app icons. How do I get it back and why would it disappear? It was there last night?!

I suddenly can't access yahoo mail. The icon shows new messages, but when I tap it, it opens to a blank screen and then reverts back to main menu screen.

I know it was there earlier today since I went in to see if there were any BIS 3.0 changes (I didn't see any).Now it's gone.I still have all my e-mail accounts set up and they appear to be working fine, but the setup icon is gone.Has anyone else noticed this issue?Is there something going on with BIS? Perhaps an upgrade rollout?

My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to voicemail it just dials my voicemail like the old days with a flip phone. I am no longer getting voicemail notifications either. Called sprint and they said it was apple's problem and a software update was needed. Apple denied this and recommended a hard reset which did not work. They are going to call me back later with other options to try to fix it but this requires that I have another phone which won't happen till later tonight. Any tips? I'd like to get visual voicemail back and I'd also like my old voicemails too! Is this a sprint or apply problem?

I have following problem:on my N97mini i have installed MfE and it works. But when I receive an email and i read it in outlook or OWA the "new Mail icon" on my N97mini doesn't disappear. Probably simple to the rest of you but i am a new user........my Maps Icon has dissapeared from the home screen. Its not "hidden" in any other applications that i can see.The application is still in the phone because when i search maps it pulls the application up and i can use it as normal. My wife tells me that something looks different on her iPhone 4 screen. I take a look and I see that the Nav Menu that usually has the Phone, Mail, Safari and Music apps by default is missing the the Phone app. I looked at other screens and it wasn't moved. I think it was accidenyly deleted. The question is, how do I get it back?

I have an iPhone 5c which is updated to IOS 7.1.1. I regularly use FaceTime and never had a problem. Today I restarted my iPhone as FaceTime Audio call was not connecting, as I normally do in such issue. When the iPhone got restarted the FaceTime App on my iPhone disappeared. I tried searching from the Spotlight it does not show. Even tried to go to Contact to connect call from there but I do not have option to make FaceTime call in contacts as well.

Luckily I had a sim from the service provider who i bought it from which enabled me to turn on the phone. I used guidelines from the net and downloaded redsn0w and then os 4.0 which enabled me to open the redsnow finally and of course connected my iphone to my book pro. i went over all the steps and thought I am done after saw the Cydia icon on my iphone (which disappeared during the update)..the only weird thing is that the cydia icon was white not dark red as usual. then i tried opening cydia and follow the step to go to manage etc and enter the famous URL... the result was i got did not find repository and also later i found out that i cannot see my phone icon on the iphone...

Since then, my Yahoo! mail icon has been replaced with a generic Blackberry email icon. Based on suggestions I have seen online, I have tried removing and reinserting the battery, as well as deleting and re-adding the email account in the BIS website. Neither of these worked.

All I have is a phone icon that is for Visual Voice Mail, which I am not signed up for and don't want to be.
