I recently switched to .643 from .662 and my Yahoo Icon that had gone away is back. I didn't like .643, so I upgraded back to .662 and the Yahoo icon is still here. I am happy about this. Did anyone else get it back?
View 7 RepliesI was having memory and battery issues so I reloaded the new OS. Now, I can not get the Yahoo mail icon back on my phone. I deleted the Gmail COD's because they supposedly cause a battery drain, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I have resent service books several times, and still nothing.

I have been trying to figure out how to get the phone icon back after upgrading to OS 5.0. I know I can do the same thing by pushing the green answer button but is it possible to get the icon back?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI was working with Back-up Assistant, scrolled down so i could click "I Accept" on the RIM warning screen stating that I was going to a 3rd party site...and I couldn't highlight the "I Accept" button (or the "don't accept" button for that matter). So, I just exited from that screen, but now when I go to the main menu, it is frozen on the Back-Up Assistant icon. I can't move the trackball off of it. The trackball obviously isn't broken, because I can move around the 5 icons on the home screen....it just won't work on the menu screen....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated to 5.0, it's ok, not great. One problem i have is my lock icon is now gone, i preferred to lock my phone this way and not use the lock button on the top left. To get it back, i enabled a password. Then it came back. So i figured i would just disable it and the icon would still be there and functional like it was with 4.7, it's not, it dissapears again.Is there anyway to get the icon back where i can just hit * and the phone icon to unlock, I know this is minor, but it is what I like.Also, with 5.0 my standby mode is not working anymore, any thoughts?*on a side note, I'm not a fan of my BBM and SMS looking a like and co-mingling when I have someone as a contact and BBM contact, just a preference.can someone get my lock icon back working without a password?
View 11 Replies View RelatedMy email (and messages) icon wont clear. It says I have 19 unread messages and the only thing in my email are 2 unread messages.I have done the following:
Deleting everything in my message folder
Turning the phone off
Taking the battery out
Sending additional email to see if that re-sets it before taking the battery out
The Icons at the bottom on main screen are Messages, E-Mail (new account), E-Mail (old account), SMS and MMS, Contacts, and Calendar. I want the icon for the old E-Mail account deleted, permanently off my phone. Completely gone everywhere from the phone. Any info on this subject will be greatly appreciated.

However, when I leave the house, I'd like to be able to receive any replies that he sends so I use the sign into Yahoo Messenger on my cell phone option, but even though he sends replies, I never receive them on my phone.

Speaking to the person on the other end they say it just doesn't download to no request to send picture pops on.

Since then, my Yahoo! mail icon has been replaced with a generic Blackberry email icon. Based on suggestions I have seen online, I have tried removing and reinserting the battery, as well as deleting and re-adding the email account in the BIS website. Neither of these worked.

I am unable to setup my gmail account because I don't see the 'I want to create or add an email address' option button in the email setup screen..The setup screen only displays 'I want to use a work email account with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server'
Is there a way to add the 'I want to create or add an email address' to the email setup screen.?Do I need to flash the os? how do I do that?
My Tour is set to back up on my work computer, which uses the Enterprise network. However, due to illness I've been away from the office for two months so now would like to back up to my home computer. How do I do this? My office set it up for me the first time, so I need detailed instructions.

What i mean is most all of the sprint phones if you are out of town and you lose your phone and you go to a store and get a new phone as soon as they activate the new phone through the back up contacts on there sprints website it will automactly put your contacts in your new phone.I know you can save them on your pc but if i dont have my lap top with me how can i get the contacts and numbers into my new phone that i get when iam out of town.I was told there was a third party app to down load that will transfer them. so if you are out of town and lose your blackberry how do you get your contacts in the new blackberry if you dont have your pc with you ?

But when i open the PTT to try to use it, it goes back to Disabled every time. It wont save to enable i get the option to save close it out but still goes back to disabled every time.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy BB Tour 9630 from verison gets hot on the lower back and whenever hot, it will start hanging and will take time to execute commands. A while, it restarts even in the midst of opening a command. I've changed the battery with the hope of a reprieve but its the same story. When I switch off the network it remains cool but once network is connected, it starts warming up.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently come upon a severely aggravating problem: I have a message notification icon that will just not go away. It shows that I have an unread message in my SMS/MMS, but there is nothing at all. I've marked all previous items as opened and even went so far as to delete all of my previous messages, but no dice. The rest of my notifications are working perfectly fine, appearing and disappearing as they should. Any suggestions or fixes? (And yes, of course I already tried a battery pull, I'm aware that's it is the BB panacea for all problems).

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince last week, after I recieved an "event reminder" e-mail from a co-worker, I can NOT get the 1 new message symbol off of my phone. I have gone through ALL of my message folders for days now. I have pulled the battery 5 times. The stupid yellow message symbol with the number 1 WILL NOT GO AWAY! I don't know what to do.
Oh and another thing... after that day, when I try to put my phone on "silent" it still vibrates, and when I put it on "vibrate" it makes sounds!
I've somehow hidden the icon for SMS/MMS access/messages. It's not only no longer on my welcome screen, I can't find it in the list of programs/applications.
After getting an update for my bb world I now have an icon for NFL that I neither use or want. How do I delete this thing?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Tour will not turn on after about 2 weeks of inactivity. The battery was stored in it at appx 40% (I realize this was probably a mistake...). When plugged into the charger, the red light goes on for appx 10 secs, then turns off (whether battery is in or out). Several battery pulls have not made a difference. Phone has been plugged in for over an hour now, with no result. Tried putting the battery in with the phone plugged/unplugged. Plugging phone into PC USB tries to install the drivers (so it's def not fried)
