I hate the new setup in 5.0.i've tried getting used to it but it just drives me nuts. i want to be able to see every single message (in and out) in my message box....not have to open it up to see the previous messages. anyway to go back? i thought about rolling back to 4.7 but thought i'd ask on here first.ps i tried searching but came up empty handed.
View 5 Repliesthis "update" really blows chunks. Not everyone likes threaded messages... As much as I've tried, I can't start a new text message to someone without deleting/clearing an older message. If I receive a voice-mail from someone, I can't send them a text without deleting the voice-mail message from the list. There's no way to "un-link" contacts (the option in BBM DOES NOT WORK).

Is there a way to add the 'I want to create or add an email address' to the email setup screen.?Do I need to flash the os? how do I do that?
I recently owned the curve 8530 and liked the setting to make the messages appear in bubble format rather then line separated. The Tour that i have now does not have that option. Does anyone know if it exists due to an OS upgrade, or anyway else i can get sms to display in bubbles?

Imap is enabled on Gmail. I don't want to use the gmail app, just want to check my gmail every once in awhile.

What i mean is most all of the sprint phones if you are out of town and you lose your phone and you go to a store and get a new phone as soon as they activate the new phone through the back up contacts on there sprints website it will automactly put your contacts in your new phone.I know you can save them on your pc but if i dont have my lap top with me how can i get the contacts and numbers into my new phone that i get when iam out of town.I was told there was a third party app to down load that will transfer them. so if you are out of town and lose your blackberry how do you get your contacts in the new blackberry if you dont have your pc with you ?

But when i open the PTT to try to use it, it goes back to Disabled every time. It wont save to enable i get the option to save close it out but still goes back to disabled every time.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy BB Tour 9630 from verison gets hot on the lower back and whenever hot, it will start hanging and will take time to execute commands. A while, it restarts even in the midst of opening a command. I've changed the battery with the hope of a reprieve but its the same story. When I switch off the network it remains cool but once network is connected, it starts warming up.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy Tour will not turn on after about 2 weeks of inactivity. The battery was stored in it at appx 40% (I realize this was probably a mistake...). When plugged into the charger, the red light goes on for appx 10 secs, then turns off (whether battery is in or out). Several battery pulls have not made a difference. Phone has been plugged in for over an hour now, with no result. Tried putting the battery in with the phone plugged/unplugged. Plugging phone into PC USB tries to install the drivers (so it's def not fried)

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was working with Back-up Assistant, scrolled down so i could click "I Accept" on the RIM warning screen stating that I was going to a 3rd party site...and I couldn't highlight the "I Accept" button (or the "don't accept" button for that matter). So, I just exited from that screen, but now when I go to the main menu, it is frozen on the Back-Up Assistant icon. I can't move the trackball off of it. The trackball obviously isn't broken, because I can move around the 5 icons on the home screen....it just won't work on the menu screen....

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince last week, after I recieved an "event reminder" e-mail from a co-worker, I can NOT get the 1 new message symbol off of my phone. I have gone through ALL of my message folders for days now. I have pulled the battery 5 times. The stupid yellow message symbol with the number 1 WILL NOT GO AWAY! I don't know what to do.
Oh and another thing... after that day, when I try to put my phone on "silent" it still vibrates, and when I put it on "vibrate" it makes sounds!
I updated my blackberry with that new OS stuff and now I can't get the maps, and the word docs or anything.I needed that stuff.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI updated to 5.0, it's ok, not great. One problem i have is my lock icon is now gone, i preferred to lock my phone this way and not use the lock button on the top left. To get it back, i enabled a password. Then it came back. So i figured i would just disable it and the icon would still be there and functional like it was with 4.7, it's not, it dissapears again.Is there anyway to get the icon back where i can just hit * and the phone icon to unlock, I know this is minor, but it is what I like.Also, with 5.0 my standby mode is not working anymore, any thoughts?*on a side note, I'm not a fan of my BBM and SMS looking a like and co-mingling when I have someone as a contact and BBM contact, just a preference.can someone get my lock icon back working without a password?

After rebooting my phone told me that I had 35 new texts and a number of unread messages. I have tried everything short of deleting all of my messages. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to use an app that requires the internet, one of two messages constantly pop up, sometimes even both. I have the application permissions set to allow. One message is, "The application slacker_radio has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." I can only click 'ok' after that. The other message is, "The application (any one of them) has requested a http connection to (whichever site it uses)" Then is has choices: 'Do not ask for http' and 'Do not ask for http to (whichever site it uses)' The second choice is checked by default. I've tried checking both and either box singely. Again, all the application permissions are set to allow for these apps. I've tried Slacker, Poynt, Scoremobile, Weatherbug, and . I didnt bother trying any other app.

Nothing worked and Verizon gave me a new phone but two days later, I'M HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
