I deleted all my SMS messages (and I think I deleted two of them without reading them)so I have the visual alert saying that i have 2 unread messages, but no messages. How do I reset this number or this alert?
View 6 RepliesMy Tour has stopped giving me audible alerts when it is in the holster regardless of how I have the settings configured. Pulling the battery doesn't help. I have no custom profiles set up. I'm at a loss on this one. I've seen lots of older threads on this but nothing recent so I'm hoping that maybe there is now a fix. Any suggestions?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently downlaoded a bunch of ringtones off of the internet, and I also recently added another email account to my tour. I Assigned different alert tones to the 2 email addresses, sms messages, bbm messages, and facebook alerts. I have found that when I get a message, and the assigned alert tone is activated, as soon as that tone turns off anoter different alert is then activated. I cannot figure out why or how to prevent this from happening.

The Tour that i have now does not have that option. Does anyone know if it exists due to an OS upgrade, or anyway else i can get sms to display in bubbles?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince last week, after I recieved an "event reminder" e-mail from a co-worker, I can NOT get the 1 new message symbol off of my phone. I have gone through ALL of my message folders for days now. I have pulled the battery 5 times. The stupid yellow message symbol with the number 1 WILL NOT GO AWAY! I don't know what to do.
Oh and another thing... after that day, when I try to put my phone on "silent" it still vibrates, and when I put it on "vibrate" it makes sounds!
I just received the "white screen of death" with the new operating system for my tour. I had to go to the Verizon store just to get access to my phone. After rebooting my phone told me that I had 35 new texts and a number of unread messages. I have tried everything short of deleting all of my messages. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to use an app that requires the internet, one of two messages constantly pop up, sometimes even both. I have the application permissions set to allow. One message is, "The application slacker_radio has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." I can only click 'ok' after that. The other message is, "The application (any one of them) has requested a http connection to (whichever site it uses)" Then is has choices: 'Do not ask for http' and 'Do not ask for http to (whichever site it uses)' The second choice is checked by default. I've tried checking both and either box singely. Again, all the application permissions are set to allow for these apps. I've tried Slacker, Poynt, Scoremobile, Weatherbug, and . I didnt bother trying any other app.

View 6 Replies View RelatedGot a Tour last month, upgraded to new 5.0.0.whatever software with Verizon, started having phantom new messages.I tried everything--battery pull, searching "unopened only" messages, I even wiped my entire phone and reloaded everything.
Nothing worked and Verizon gave me a new phone but two days later, I'M HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
My call log shows missed calls, but never tells me I have a new voicemail, nor is there any icon on the screen that indicates there is a new voicemail waiting. Can someone please tell me how to get notified that I have new messages? Presently I'm having to call my voicemail just to see if there is a message.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an unread message icon that cannot be deleted. This has only started happening since I downloaded the newest VZW 5.0 patch. I know this thread has been done for multiple reasons but I have tried all the normal fixes.
*Mark all prior unread.
*Search saved
*Multiple battery pulls
*etc etc etc
None of this is working. Anyone know of any other fixes?
We have a BES BB user (9630 v5.0) who is not able to file a messages. When the user opens a message and then does option on that message, the "File" option is listed as an option.Also, when the user goes and views folders, no folders are available...Usually the outlook folder structure is synced downUser is reconciling just fine and everything in BB manager looks good. Carrier sent user a new phone thinking it was the device but user is having same issue with new BB as well. Thus, why they have contacted the BES Admins.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I upgraded to BB OS 5.0 I now have my message indicator default is 10 unread messages. I have gone into SMS, Email, missed calls and have asked to have all messages marked as prior read and it doesn't go away.
so if my day starts with 10 messages marked as unread and I get new ones thru the day it goes up and as I read these messages it goes down BUT never goes below 10.
If I have to reboot due to an app upgrade It may go up, not always but sometimes, I am now @ a steady 14 unread messages according to my message indicator. I really have NO unread messages
I just used my upgrade on the verizon blackberry tour 9630, I'm a big texter and absolutely LOVED my env2! Any helpful hints? Advice to a new user? I actually will not get my phone till next week.

I have never had one before so I am not sure how to get the new message indicator off the top of my home screen. The thing is I don't have any new messages. While I hadnt yet installed my contacts, I recieved a text message from someone that was an image of homer simpson that said, "click here to play." Upon clicking on the message it begins with the lyrics "you are so." then in homer simpsons voice it says "gay." I deleted the message immediatley however, after every single one of my notifctaion sounds, it now pays that message. I tried adjusting all of my sound settings and cant get rid of the sound. This is clearly very frustrating and would love to know how to remove this from my phone.

Seems to be pretty good so far.The weird thing I am seeing today is that whenever I do a battery pull (several times today re-registering apps) I get a email in the Message box saying something about registration on the network was successful.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI noticed that there are times I do not get an audible when the phone is charging. Whether it's with the home charger the phone came with or a car charger (from Verizon), the majority of the time, I do not hear the alert when a message comes in. This has happened to me with all of my Tours (on my 3rd replacement). I do not have any custom ring tones/alerts. All the alerts I use are the ones that come with the phone. I don't have any 3rd party apps which would affect the tones. Does anyone else experience or hear of this? If so is there a fix to this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Tour 9630 with the latest OS installed and 81.1 MB of application memory. The custom ring tones I've set under "Contact Alerts > Phone" work. However, the custom alerts for "Contact Alerts > Messages" don't. I'm supposed to get a sound plus a vibration for certain contacts when in "Phone Only" profile. This doesn't happen.

Blackberry Nation. I'm relatively new to the Blackberry and brand new to the forum.Am having difficulty with the voice command system after a few trouble free months.I've been getting a "System Busy. Try again later." message for a two days now, whether trying the phone itself or the Bluetooth.
I have some new tones I have downloaded on my BlackBerry Tour 9630. I have tried to set a different tone on an incoming text message but it still plays the one pre-loaded on it. How can I can I change the text message tone to a different one that I have downloaded, I have tested the tone on incoming call, but I would like it on text message because I have the tone I want on a call.

I am on sprint and running .419. I can make phone calls and everything, but just curious what that error message means.
Also, I am no longer getting MMS messages with this update, everything comes through as a SMS, and I have to use that dreaded sprint picture mail to see the message. In which the message never comes out clear.....
