My call log shows missed calls, but never tells me I have a new voicemail, nor is there any icon on the screen that indicates there is a new voicemail waiting. Can someone please tell me how to get notified that I have new messages? Presently I'm having to call my voicemail just to see if there is a message.
I have an unread message icon that cannot be deleted. This has only started happening since I downloaded the newest VZW 5.0 patch. I know this thread has been done for multiple reasons but I have tried all the normal fixes.
I have the BB Tour for Verizon. I am pretty new owner of a BB. I have never had one before so I am not sure how to get the new message indicator off the top of my home screen. The thing is I don't have any new messages. I had deleted all the messages in all of the folders. I did a battery pull and it still won't turn off.
I'm new to Blackberry and just learning. I've noticed that some of my SMS texts that are sent have a "D" in the check-mark. Can someone let me know what it indicates? I have not changed any settings and not all my outgoing messages contain the "D."
I got my tour about 6 weeks ago, and am learning something new everyday. I lovingly call the phone "my smarter than me phone" I have used this forum alot to answer questions, and for the most part am pretty comfortable with the phone now.
The message indicator on the home screen sometimes displays to the left of the time, and sometimes to the right. I thought at first it was an am/pm thing, but 10 minutes ago (8:41 ayem now) it was on the right, and now it just jumped to the left.
The new email indicator on my Blackberry Tour will not go away. I have no unread messages or missed calls. I've tried a battery pull, a reboot, marking prior messages read, and changing the message count settings. It won't go away.
This morning when I turned on my phone I had my usual email indicators, but also there was a really tiny one near the ringtone indicator. Its a small flower (five pettaled) with the red asterix indicator (like when you have a new mail/sms). I have looked at all my apps and message folders and I have no clue what this is for!
I recently owned the curve 8530 and liked the setting to make the messages appear in bubble format rather then line separated. The Tour that i have now does not have that option. Does anyone know if it exists due to an OS upgrade, or anyway else i can get sms to display in bubbles?
So this all started about two weeks ago. Every time i get a mms message from someone i get it first about 5-10 min after they send it, then again about 1-3 hours after they sent it. Ive tried several battery pulls, with no luck. Im running 22.214.171.1241 (I know it has problems, but I couldnt get the Sprint upgrade figured out )
I plugged my bb into the wall and for a little bit it was charging fine but then the symbol disappeared. I unplugged and plugged back in which made the clock pop up so I know it connected right. But its still not charging. I turned the charging indicator led on with berrybuzz and the light didn't turn on when I plugged it in.
Meterberry says the temp is 111 degrees. I don't know what the 'normal' ranges are. I'm still under my 30day warranty so do I take it back? Is anyone else having this problem? Its done this before and it eventually charges but something is going on....
hello, I just upgraded my phone to the .732. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.
My Torch 9800 will show messages or emails in the top center display. However, there are no emails or messages in the folders. This number will increase over time & the only way to clear it is to remove the battery. Bell can't solve this & I'm not about to pay for customer service. I'll switch to an iPhone first.
I recently upgraded to the .610. At first it was just one sms and the number has gone up to 4 unread sms messages and i have looked and searched everywhere, deleted, did numerous battery pulls, even leaving the battery out for an extended amount of time, tried changing the theme etc etc. Is there any way to fix this?
I just got a new tour from verizon to replace my original tour that had trackball issues. I did the device switch with DM and everything seemed to copy over just fine with one exception. I keep getting new messages (both email and sms) and the top bar is showing that I have 6 new messages but they are not actually showing up in my messages.
My tour beeps as if there is a message but theres no message. Ive been having this issue for over a week. Please tell me that there is a fix for this because it is annoying and I don't know if I am missing the message or if its just a phantom message.
I am wondering what is the advantage or necessity of having the Message folder when it appears that it is more or less a duplicate of what is in your email folder. Is there some purpose or advantage to having this folder that I am missing?
I deleted all my SMS messages (and I think I deleted two of them without reading them)so I have the visual alert saying that i have 2 unread messages, but no messages. How do I reset this number or this alert?
Why are my recieved sms messages an hour behind my acual time zone? My send messages show the actual time, however, when I recieve a message from someone in the same time zone its always an hour behind.
Since last week, after I recieved an "event reminder" e-mail from a co-worker, I can NOT get the 1 new message symbol off of my phone. I have gone through ALL of my message folders for days now. I have pulled the battery 5 times. The stupid yellow message symbol with the number 1 WILL NOT GO AWAY! I don't know what to do.
Oh and another thing... after that day, when I try to put my phone on "silent" it still vibrates, and when I put it on "vibrate" it makes sounds!
I can see everything the group does but noone sees me.They were able to see my messages before I did a software upgrade to version 126.96.36.199. I've done a couple of battery pulls and they are not working.
I just received the "white screen of death" with the new operating system for my tour. I had to go to the Verizon store just to get access to my phone. After rebooting my phone told me that I had 35 new texts and a number of unread messages. I have tried everything short of deleting all of my messages. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
Every time I try to use an app that requires the internet, one of two messages constantly pop up, sometimes even both. I have the application permissions set to allow. One message is, "The application slacker_radio has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." I can only click 'ok' after that. The other message is, "The application (any one of them) has requested a http connection to (whichever site it uses)" Then is has choices: 'Do not ask for http' and 'Do not ask for http to (whichever site it uses)' The second choice is checked by default. I've tried checking both and either box singely. Again, all the application permissions are set to allow for these apps. I've tried Slacker, Poynt, Scoremobile, Weatherbug, and . I didnt bother trying any other app.
Got a Tour last month, upgraded to new 5.0.0.whatever software with Verizon, started having phantom new messages.I tried everything--battery pull, searching "unopened only" messages, I even wiped my entire phone and reloaded everything.
Nothing worked and Verizon gave me a new phone but two days later, I'M HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
We have a BES BB user (9630 v5.0) who is not able to file a messages. When the user opens a message and then does option on that message, the "File" option is listed as an option. Also, when the user goes and views folders, no folders are available...Usually the outlook folder structure is synced downUser is reconciling just fine and everything in BB manager looks good. Carrier sent user a new phone thinking it was the device but user is having same issue with new BB as well. Thus, why they have contacted the BES Admins.
On my home screen i have the icon showing on top saying i have 1 message. But i have no messages of any sort. No Emails, No I.M.'s, No BBM's, No SMS or MMS, No Facebook or MySpace.i have checked and double checked all of the above mentioned. I have turned off phone. i have removed battery. i have done the *228 update.
I have a Blackberry Tour 9630.The shortcut key of pressing N to go to the next message or pressing U to go to the next unread message is no longer working. However, pressing P to go to the previous message works fine.
