Ok so I use the auto on/off feature, and recently i have noticed that after my phone turns off for the night, if there is a event on my calendar where the alarm would go off during the time that the phone is off it will turn itself back on and let the alarm go off. Is this normal, or is something wrong?
View 4 RepliesMy Tour will not turn on after about 2 weeks of inactivity. The battery was stored in it at appx 40% (I realize this was probably a mistake...). When plugged into the charger, the red light goes on for appx 10 secs, then turns off (whether battery is in or out). Several battery pulls have not made a difference. Phone has been plugged in for over an hour now, with no result. Tried putting the battery in with the phone plugged/unplugged. Plugging phone into PC USB tries to install the drivers (so it's def not fried)

What i mean is most all of the sprint phones if you are out of town and you lose your phone and you go to a store and get a new phone as soon as they activate the new phone through the back up contacts on there sprints website it will automactly put your contacts in your new phone.I know you can save them on your pc but if i dont have my lap top with me how can i get the contacts and numbers into my new phone that i get when iam out of town.I was told there was a third party app to down load that will transfer them. so if you are out of town and lose your blackberry how do you get your contacts in the new blackberry if you dont have your pc with you ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI updated to 5.0, it's ok, not great. One problem i have is my lock icon is now gone, i preferred to lock my phone this way and not use the lock button on the top left. To get it back, i enabled a password. Then it came back. So i figured i would just disable it and the icon would still be there and functional like it was with 4.7, it's not, it dissapears again.Is there anyway to get the icon back where i can just hit * and the phone icon to unlock, I know this is minor, but it is what I like.Also, with 5.0 my standby mode is not working anymore, any thoughts?*on a side note, I'm not a fan of my BBM and SMS looking a like and co-mingling when I have someone as a contact and BBM contact, just a preference.can someone get my lock icon back working without a password?

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe small clock kept showing up in the middle of the screen on my blackberry. A vzw rep told me sometimes I need to reboot my blackberry because its like a computer. So, I took the battery out and put it back in to reboot it and it won't come on. A white blank background will show up with the small clock in the middle. Then the screen will go black with the small clock in the middle and the red light blinking.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI just updated the software on my Blackberry Tour and now my calendar is behaving as it did two software generics ago! Specifically, when I change and appointment to a future date and then save that appointment, the calendar moves to that future date! This is terrible if you are moving several items out to future dates! Previously, the changed entry would just disappear from the screen (moved to the new, future date) and I would remain on the day I was working on.Secondly, when I open a future day in calendar, the “All Day Events” do not show first (as they used to). Instead you have to scroll up to see if there are any of these type events.Does anyone know of a way to change these settings/defaults.

When I tap an event that I created on my phone, I get the the following message in the blue box that should contain the event details " fake event to work around a calendar issue" How can I fix this? Googling that phrase has led to several other folks having the same problem, none with solutions that I can find.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk in the options you have to enable it ofcoarse so i click enabled and yes i have PTT installed. But when i open the PTT to try to use it, it goes back to Disabled every time. It wont save to enable i get the option to save close it out but still goes back to disabled every time.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy BB Tour 9630 from verison gets hot on the lower back and whenever hot, it will start hanging and will take time to execute commands. A while, it restarts even in the midst of opening a command. I've changed the battery with the hope of a reprieve but its the same story. When I switch off the network it remains cool but once network is connected, it starts warming up.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have checked the time zones on both my outlook calendar and BB. They are set correctly. If I set an appointment for 8am in Outlook, it displays as 9am on my BB calendar. Also it should be said that my phone automatically syncs via an enterprise server. I do not hardwire my BB to my computer. My BB has accurately sync'd with my computer for over a year until now. I tried changing the option in outlook that "accounts for DST", and that didn't work either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI swear that as soon as the new Windows 7 Series phones come out, I am smashing the BB Tour.I have had this phone for about 8 months or so. I have a paid MSN email address. I use Outlook on my PC and need Outlook Connector to sync it (Outlook) to my email, contacts, and calendar.(that's a whole different rant there- why do I need special software to use a MS email account when it (Outlook) doesn't need it for gmail, yahoo, or another?)For whatever reason, the Tour will not sync ANYTHING with Outlook. The (**bleep**)Desktop Manager is no help as it doesn't recognize ANYTHING from Outlook- not email, not calendar, not contacts, etc.I am under the impression that somehow Outlook Connector messes things up. Fine. Whatever. I setup a MS Exchange email account and got it up and running, both on the PC and on the phone.Still nothing works. Oh sure my emails come through, but that's it. my contacts list doesn't sync, my calendar has zero events/tasks/appointments on it (it does but the phone doesn't think so). Hell, when I am in the calendar, the ability to wirelessly sync is grayed out.When I installed the DM, I selected the option to use a personal email address and that doesn't work. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and chose a work email address, but of course, no one tells you how to activate the damned phone to do this. And what's more, when the DM starts, it keeps reporting:"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."Well guess what? Outlook IS the default email client.Of course, RIM blames Verizon, who blames, MS, who blames the others. We all know how it is.

I plug it in and select power phone off and it normally comes back on after i do this but for some reason its not coming back on i also pull the battery out and even that dont work when i plug it in it gives me the LED light but still will not turn back on.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was working with Back-up Assistant, scrolled down so i could click "I Accept" on the RIM warning screen stating that I was going to a 3rd party site...and I couldn't highlight the "I Accept" button (or the "don't accept" button for that matter). So, I just exited from that screen, but now when I go to the main menu, it is frozen on the Back-Up Assistant icon. I can't move the trackball off of it. The trackball obviously isn't broken, because I can move around the 5 icons on the home screen....it just won't work on the menu screen....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't turn off my alarm on my blackberry. I don't think i turned it on, the alarm symbol just showed up next to my clock. I don't used it, so i was confused. This is a picture of what the alarm looks like:
Ive never seen that symbol before. I turn on the daily alarm, it doesn't turn on it just stays the same. Turn it to off, it won't go away. I tried everything i could think of including taking out the battery. it will NOT go away! its going to drive me crazy if my phone goes off at 3 pm every day!
