BB Tour 9630 :: Tour Calendar Day View Entries In Future Date?
Jul 14, 2010I just updated the software on my Blackberry Tour and now my calendar is behaving as it did two software generics ago! Specifically, when I change and appointment to a future date and then save that appointment, the calendar moves to that future date! This is terrible if you are moving several items out to future dates! Previously, the changed entry would just disappear from the screen (moved to the new, future date) and I would remain on the day I was working on.Secondly, when I open a future day in calendar, the “All Day Events” do not show first (as they used to). Instead you have to scroll up to see if there are any of these type events.Does anyone know of a way to change these settings/defaults.

Feb 18, 2010I recently went to Africa and took a lot of pictures that I'd like to keep. No problem.My problem is that I after that I took a long trip and took maybe 200 pictures of random stuff to post on twitter and now I want to delete the most recent pictures.
Is there an easy way to do this? I tried manually deleting one picture at a time and eventually gave up on doing it this way.

May 3, 2010how do I delete the applications on my Tour that I didn't download? I don't use AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, or anything like that, and I can't figure out how to delete them. When I select the app and hit the menu button, there's no "delete" option. I also have some NFL app that was installed after the update, which I definitely don't need.

Jan 13, 2010I was wondering if someone can advise me here. I'm trying to delete some extra themes I have and it will not let me. When I click the theme, the option to delete is grayed out. I've tried doing it through Options -> Applications etc. but they don't show up. I'm running the .419 leak for my OS, if that matters.One Idea I had was using BBSAK to delete all the 3rd Party stuff and just re-install everything but I feel like that would just be more trouble than it is worth.

Mar 23, 2010I have checked the time zones on both my outlook calendar and BB. They are set correctly. If I set an appointment for 8am in Outlook, it displays as 9am on my BB calendar. Also it should be said that my phone automatically syncs via an enterprise server. I do not hardwire my BB to my computer. My BB has accurately sync'd with my computer for over a year until now. I tried changing the option in outlook that "accounts for DST", and that didn't work either.

May 19, 2010I swear that as soon as the new Windows 7 Series phones come out, I am smashing the BB Tour.I have had this phone for about 8 months or so. I have a paid MSN email address. I use Outlook on my PC and need Outlook Connector to sync it (Outlook) to my email, contacts, and calendar.(that's a whole different rant there- why do I need special software to use a MS email account when it (Outlook) doesn't need it for gmail, yahoo, or another?)For whatever reason, the Tour will not sync ANYTHING with Outlook. The (**bleep**)Desktop Manager is no help as it doesn't recognize ANYTHING from Outlook- not email, not calendar, not contacts, etc.I am under the impression that somehow Outlook Connector messes things up. Fine. Whatever. I setup a MS Exchange email account and got it up and running, both on the PC and on the phone.Still nothing works. Oh sure my emails come through, but that's it. my contacts list doesn't sync, my calendar has zero events/tasks/appointments on it (it does but the phone doesn't think so). Hell, when I am in the calendar, the ability to wirelessly sync is grayed out.When I installed the DM, I selected the option to use a personal email address and that doesn't work. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and chose a work email address, but of course, no one tells you how to activate the damned phone to do this. And what's more, when the DM starts, it keeps reporting:"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."Well guess what? Outlook IS the default email client.Of course, RIM blames Verizon, who blames, MS, who blames the others. We all know how it is.

Jan 8, 2010A new icon popped up on my phone randomly and it says to do a wireless update and when i click it it says i have version 4.7.1.61 and it wants me to update to 4.7.1.61 (4.1.0.81) and I don't know what it means at all, so far I've looked through a few threads already posted but nothing thats 100% the same and I don't want to do something to mess up my phone. May 10, 2010I am new to this device and I had Verizon transfer all 300 of my contacts from my old phone to the tour. When I ran email set up with my gmail account i didn't notice that i checked the contacts box and it deleted all 300 of the contacts I had changed over and left only 20 or so (who i imagine are from my gmail account). I deleted the gmail account from my phone, is there a way to delete the gmail list from my contact list? I go to options and it's the only contact list in my phone and it doesn't give me an option to delete. I even tried re-adding the gmail account to my phone and unchecking the contact list button--to no avail.

Feb 14, 2010Ok so I use the auto on/off feature, and recently i have noticed that after my phone turns off for the night, if there is a event on my calendar where the alarm would go off during the time that the phone is off it will turn itself back on and let the alarm go off. May 3, 2010Ever since I activated BES (so that I could sync email/calendar with my company's MS Exchange server), I have been experiencing a couple of email-related issues that I did not have previously:
1)When composing a new email or trying to add another contact to an existing email, when I type in the name of the person, the email address auto-complete function does not work. It does work when I am sending SMS, MMS, and searching through my Phone Book, but does not work in email for some reason. Even if I manually type in the correct email address, I do not have a ¯ option for the email. I can only reply to email or go through the Phone Book and selection the phonebook entry. I have done the phone book ¯ quickfix several times without any success.
2)My calendar events are not showing up in my BES email folder both sent or received calendar notices do not show up for some reason. I have re-sent the Service Books from BES a couple of times to no avail.

Apr 12, 2010Maybe this is in the VZW Tour 5.0 software thread or something, but after completing the software upgrade, when I receive emails through my Gmail account and decide to delete an email, I am no longer getting the option to delete from the mailbox, the device, or both, although the option is set uo from this particular email account. I'm not having any problems with the Yahoo email account. I've removed the email and readded it on the phone as well as on the Blackberry Internet Server website.

I changed the housing in my Tour to make it white but the trackball doesn't sit right and i have a problem scrolling down. Feb 12, 2010I've developed a problem with my 9630 (carrier: Sprint) recently. I won't receive emails on it for quite a while, but once I open my Internet browser, all of the emails I received since the last time I opened it will come through at once. If I check my messages, they're all listed as coming through at the same time, but inside the email, they're datestamped at the actual time they were sent.
Any ideas as to what it could be? I haven't changed any settings recently, the problem started independent of anything else, from what I can tell. It seems like a problem with my phone not checking for new emails until it uses data services (internet browser).

May 30, 2010I've researched my problem on other posts, and still not completely sure if my problem is unique or not.I have an unlocked Sprint 9630 I grabbed from our IT department before a trip to Turkey. It was supposedly deactivated - turns out it is still active on a Sprint number.
I've replaced the Sprint SIM with an Avea Turkish prepaid SIM that has data and Blackberry capability. It works fine for phone and text, but no ability to register the email with Avea Blackberry. Tech support there unable to determine the problem (unable to connect to server is the error message, both with phone and online).If I can deactive the Sprint number will that help? Or am I just out of luck.
BB Tour 9630 :: Tour Is Typing Hlhlhl On Its Own - Buttons And Trackball Unresponsive
Jan 25, 2010I have an issue with my BB Tour.When I woke up this mourning and took my bb off the charger.I notice there were HLhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhl type on my bb so I tried to press the esc button and the end button and it didn't work. So I did a Battery pull and let it load up...and that when i found out that my trackball wasn't working.then all a sudden it started to type the HLlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhlh again.So I did a another battery pull and it did it again.So I wiped the phone decided to install 5.0 on my phone and I get the same thing.The only thing I did before my phone went hay wire was a couple days prior.I downloaded a couple free themes and screen saver from BB App World.I thought by doing the battery pull and wipe I would fix it but didn't. I know I didn't get my phone wet or anything can anybody explain this?

Aug 2, 2010This is my third Tour (I just got this one a week ago) and with it sitting in my pocket where I have service, not running ANY applications, it is running hot and draining battery very quickly. Did a battery pull, double checked memory leaks, and nothing is taking care of it. It's draining at about 15% per hour. Any thoughts (other than Tours suck.)
