It's the one from Desktop Manager. I installed it but once I opened it, I'm pretty sure I'm never going to use it. Can I get rid of it? When it was downloading, it said the size of it was 133 MB, so if I can delete it, I would like to.

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust went from a storm 1 to a tour and I am loving it. I can't believe how much more app. memory I have!
However, I cannot get my tour device to show up in windows explorer. It connects and I can browse my media card. There is no drive in windows explorer for the device itself. I can connect to desktop manager and back-up my device memory so I know the computer can read my blackberry device. I upgraded the os with no problems.
I am running vista home premium with blackberry os 5.0 from sprint. I am on verizon. I do have mass storage mode enabled and all of those memory settings set to yes (auto connect, etc.). BBSAK and Blackberry Master Control Program see the device as well. I do not use roxio media manager and it is not installed with my desktop manager. It was too slow and clunky when I had my storm so I never bothered with it.
I've been all over the blackberry website trying to find a link to download Roxio Desktop Manager for my blackberry curve 8330, and all I get are documents.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have V1.6.0.22 for FB for Blackberry and need to use that on my Tour, because I am on T-Mobile and the newest FB for Blackberry does not work.I am out of town and do not have the cable to usb cable to use desktop manager.Is there another way to get this app (which is in the form of a .rar file) to my Blackberry and installed?If need be, I can wait until Monday when I get back home to my usb to Blackberry, but thought there might be another way to get this app installed. I have a long meeting tomorrow and Facebook for BB would really pull me through it
View 9 Replies View RelatedIve searched and havent really found a good answer to my problem, but when i connect my blackberry through the USB port, my computer and DM are not finding that its connected. Ive tried re-installing DM, re-starting my computer, re-booting my phone and none of these have worked. Is there something else that I am missing?
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust got this BB from Verizon, everything works fine but when I plug it into my PC the Desktop Manager software is a mess. I'm running Win XP. I've double checked all the USB connections, uninstalled and reinstalled the the BB software and taken the BB battery out and put it back, so it's none of those things. I brought the BB back to Verizon they said "it's working fine, must be a driver or something, duh".
When I plug in the BB and bring up Desktop Manager sometimes the BB is recognized sometimes not. When I try to use the Roxio Media Manager it comes halfway up but the hourglass cursor never goes away and it just sits there thinking for hours. Sometimes I get a pop up saying " First Time Configuration...., it won't let hit any of the choices, I just have the hourglass thinking. I always have to hit Ctl, Alt, Del and call up my task manager to quite the program because the hourglass never turns back into the cursor. I just want to manage my media. This is very frustrating.
Ok, media card was working fine, had alot of work pictures stored on it and was becoming a hassle to hunt through all of them to find what I wanted. So, I inserted media card in computer and transfered what I wanted to a folder on the computer. Then I formatted the card using the computer. When I put the card back into the phone, the phone knows its there, but I must have wiped the card completely as none of the folders for video, pics, etc. are on it anymore. If I take a picture and go to find it, the media card does not even show up, just device memory.
Does anybody have a remedy for this? I already tried formatting the card in the phone but that didn't work. The phone is telling me in the memory options that 1.8GB is free, so I know it works, it just lost the folders or whatever........
I accidentally deleted one of the memo's in memo pad, is there a way to reverse this on the Tour or do I need to use the desktop manager to reverse it?

I read the other forums and have tried safe start up (by holding the back button) does not work, tried to erase the lastest 3rd party app via bb desk top but will not connect, and tried to download BBSAK but I cant seem to download the free app, the site is not letting me register. What can I try next? Can anyone email me the BBSAK app?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have not found in a search where this is covered, so here goes While plugged into my USB port my Tour defaults to the Ringer_ClassicPhone Ringtone. It sounds horrible. But while plugged into the USB, it can not access my ringtones on the mediacard, where all of my defaults for SMS, Phone, and Email are located. So, the question, is there a way to import external, i.e. .wav's or .mp3's on a media card, to the Tours onboard memory so that the device can access them even plugged in. Yea - I know - how long can a phone be plugged in and is this really an issue. Yes - it is - to me. On a busy day at work, I will often plug my phone into the USB at my PC to charge it some, especially if it is getting into the 50% range, and it is not noon yet.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHow come it now requires a media card to take videos with the Blackberry Tour? It didn't before the update, which I'm really not a fan of because of the changes to SMS messages.Is there a way to change this so the videos save directly on the phone like they used to? Or am I going to need a new way to take videos from now on. I don't really care about the videos I lost, since anything that I wanted from those I email to myself anyway, but I'd like to be able to take new videos.
If there's no direct fix to that is there a way to change back to the old OS before the update? Because, frankly, I don't like this one at all. It added nothing of any value and destroyed the ability for me to take videos and made the text messages screen look insanely dumb.
Since upgrading to the 5.0 software I no longer have the option to send media via bluetooth. Can anyone provide guidance on how to get this feature back?

Is there an easy way to do this? I tried manually deleting one picture at a time and eventually gave up on doing it this way.
how do I delete the applications on my Tour that I didn't download? I don't use AIM, Yahoo! Messenger, or anything like that, and I can't figure out how to delete them. When I select the app and hit the menu button, there's no "delete" option. I also have some NFL app that was installed after the update, which I definitely don't need.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA new icon popped up on my phone randomly and it says to do a wireless update and when i click it it says i have version 4.7.1.61 and it wants me to update to 4.7.1.61 (4.1.0.81) and I don't know what it means at all, so far I've looked through a few threads already posted but nothing thats 100% the same and I don't want to do something to mess up my phone. When I ran email set up with my gmail account i didn't notice that i checked the contacts box and it deleted all 300 of the contacts I had changed over and left only 20 or so (who i imagine are from my gmail account). I deleted the gmail account from my phone, is there a way to delete the gmail list from my contact list? I go to options and it's the only contact list in my phone and it doesn't give me an option to delete. I even tried re-adding the gmail account to my phone and unchecking the contact list button--to no avail.

When I try to remove this Facebook tells me I have to do it from the phone. I no longer have this phone and do not even have a BlackBerry any longer and have no way of doing this. I'd hoped there was desktop software similar to the Palm Desktop where you can view & modify calendar & contact info directly instead of having to use the BB for all data entry, but I don't see this feature in Desktop Manager. Am I missing something? It's a pity if this isn't available, it makes the BB a much less attractive option for me.
