Galaxy S5 :: Back And Task Manager Touch Buttons Stopped Lighting Up
Apr 19, 2014Now - I know this isn't a major issue but it bothers me that this does not work. I have set up the settings so they are -supposed- to remain on at all times but alas they are lightless. I've done soft resets, pulled the battery, plugged it into my computer and the wall, BUT the buttons still work.

Sep 25, 2011I'm having an issue with my Tour 9630.Upgraded to 5.0 and no Memo or Task apps. Tried everything. Seems odd that BlackBerry wouldn't auto load these apps and allow the user to delete themselves. I'm getting tired of the deleting, reloading, searching, etc.

Jul 31, 2010I have V1.6.0.22 for FB for Blackberry and need to use that on my Tour, because I am on T-Mobile and the newest FB for Blackberry does not work.I am out of town and do not have the cable to usb cable to use desktop manager.Is there another way to get this app (which is in the form of a .rar file) to my Blackberry and installed?If need be, I can wait until Monday when I get back home to my usb to Blackberry, but thought there might be another way to get this app installed. I have a long meeting tomorrow and Facebook for BB would really pull me through it

Jun 20, 2010Ive searched and havent really found a good answer to my problem, but when i connect my blackberry through the USB port, my computer and DM are not finding that its connected. Ive tried re-installing DM, re-starting my computer, re-booting my phone and none of these have worked. Is there something else that I am missing?

May 4, 2010Just got this BB from Verizon, everything works fine but when I plug it into my PC the Desktop Manager software is a mess. I'm running Win XP. I've double checked all the USB connections, uninstalled and reinstalled the the BB software and taken the BB battery out and put it back, so it's none of those things. I brought the BB back to Verizon they said "it's working fine, must be a driver or something, duh".
When I plug in the BB and bring up Desktop Manager sometimes the BB is recognized sometimes not. When I try to use the Roxio Media Manager it comes halfway up but the hourglass cursor never goes away and it just sits there thinking for hours. Sometimes I get a pop up saying " First Time Configuration...., it won't let hit any of the choices, I just have the hourglass thinking. I always have to hit Ctl, Alt, Del and call up my task manager to quite the program because the hourglass never turns back into the cursor. I just want to manage my media. This is very frustrating.

I read the other forums and have tried safe start up (by holding the back button) does not work, tried to erase the lastest 3rd party app via bb desk top but will not connect, and tried to download BBSAK but I cant seem to download the free app, the site is not letting me register. What i mean is most all of the sprint phones if you are out of town and you lose your phone and you go to a store and get a new phone as soon as they activate the new phone through the back up contacts on there sprints website it will automactly put your contacts in your new phone.I know you can save them on your pc but if i dont have my lap top with me how can i get the contacts and numbers into my new phone that i get when iam out of town.I was told there was a third party app to down load that will transfer them. so if you are out of town and lose your blackberry how do you get your contacts in the new blackberry if you dont have your pc with you ?

Mar 31, 2010Ok in the options you have to enable it ofcoarse so i click enabled and yes i have PTT installed. But when i open the PTT to try to use it, it goes back to Disabled every time. It wont save to enable i get the option to save close it out but still goes back to disabled every time.

A while, it restarts even in the midst of opening a command. I've changed the battery with the hope of a reprieve but its the same story. When I switch off the network it remains cool but once network is connected, it starts warming up.

May 19, 2010My Tour will not turn on after about 2 weeks of inactivity. The battery was stored in it at appx 40% (I realize this was probably a mistake...). When plugged into the charger, the red light goes on for appx 10 secs, then turns off (whether battery is in or out). Several battery pulls have not made a difference. Phone has been plugged in for over an hour now, with no result. Tried putting the battery in with the phone plugged/unplugged. Apr 22, 2010I was working with Back-up Assistant, scrolled down so i could click "I Accept" on the RIM warning screen stating that I was going to a 3rd party site...and I couldn't highlight the "I Accept" button (or the "don't accept" button for that matter). So, I just exited from that screen, but now when I go to the main menu, it is frozen on the Back-Up Assistant icon. I can't move the trackball off of it. The trackball obviously isn't broken, because I can move around the 5 icons on the home screen....it just won't work on the menu screen....

Mar 27, 2010I've used various Palm pilots for many years and recently replaced the Palm with a BB Tour. I'd hoped there was desktop software similar to the Palm Desktop where you can view & modify calendar & contact info directly instead of having to use the BB for all data entry, but I don't see this feature in Desktop Manager. Am I missing something? It's a pity if this isn't available, it makes the BB a much less attractive option for me.

Mar 31, 2010I updated to 5.0, it's ok, not great. One problem i have is my lock icon is now gone, i preferred to lock my phone this way and not use the lock button on the top left. To get it back, i enabled a password. Then it came back. So i figured i would just disable it and the icon would still be there and functional like it was with 4.7, it's not, it dissapears again.Is there anyway to get the icon back where i can just hit * and the phone icon to unlock, I know this is minor, but it is what I like.Also, with 5.0 my standby mode is not working anymore, any thoughts?*on a side note, I'm not a fan of my BBM and SMS looking a like and co-mingling when I have someone as a contact and BBM contact, just a preference.can someone get my lock icon back working without a password?

Jun 11, 2015I recently upgraded from the S4 to the S6 and love it.On the S4, it was very easy to access the task manager and end apps that I didn't want running or end RAM that was making my phone slow down. When I first got my S6, I found where the active apps list was and was able to end apps and RAM. But now I have completely forgot. I know it's in the settings somewhere, but now I can't seem to find it.I know about the recent apps button on the front that allows you to end apps, but I'm talking about also being able to end RAM, as I have noticed my phone is beginning to lag like there is too much of something running, even though there are no apps running.
