I have been trying to figure out how to get the phone icon back after upgrading to OS 5.0. I know I can do the same thing by pushing the green answer button but is it possible to get the icon back?
View 5 RepliesI updated to 5.0, it's ok, not great. One problem i have is my lock icon is now gone, i preferred to lock my phone this way and not use the lock button on the top left. To get it back, i enabled a password. Then it came back. So i figured i would just disable it and the icon would still be there and functional like it was with 4.7, it's not, it dissapears again.Is there anyway to get the icon back where i can just hit * and the phone icon to unlock, I know this is minor, but it is what I like.Also, with 5.0 my standby mode is not working anymore, any thoughts?*on a side note, I'm not a fan of my BBM and SMS looking a like and co-mingling when I have someone as a contact and BBM contact, just a preference.can someone get my lock icon back working without a password?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently switched to .643 from .662 and my Yahoo Icon that had gone away is back. I didn't like .643, so I upgraded back to .662 and the Yahoo icon is still here. I am happy about this. Did anyone else get it back?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was working with Back-up Assistant, scrolled down so i could click "I Accept" on the RIM warning screen stating that I was going to a 3rd party site...and I couldn't highlight the "I Accept" button (or the "don't accept" button for that matter). So, I just exited from that screen, but now when I go to the main menu, it is frozen on the Back-Up Assistant icon. I can't move the trackball off of it. The trackball obviously isn't broken, because I can move around the 5 icons on the home screen....it just won't work on the menu screen....

What i mean is most all of the sprint phones if you are out of town and you lose your phone and you go to a store and get a new phone as soon as they activate the new phone through the back up contacts on there sprints website it will automactly put your contacts in your new phone.I know you can save them on your pc but if i dont have my lap top with me how can i get the contacts and numbers into my new phone that i get when iam out of town.I was told there was a third party app to down load that will transfer them. so if you are out of town and lose your blackberry how do you get your contacts in the new blackberry if you dont have your pc with you ?

I deleted the Gmail COD's because they supposedly cause a battery drain, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I have resent service books several times, and still nothing.

I have no email and no internet connection.All my icons are there but will not connect to send. In the setup wizard it will not connect for email set up so I can not even send service books.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWell I have had my blackberry tour for almost a week and i put the OS5.0 .419 tonight. so far so good, but i have my regular message folder, but there is no email folder and i went and setup my email ont he phone but there is no foler that i can find to actually read them in. its not evn getting any of my email cuz i sent one to the registered address. its not abig deal as it did drive me nuts getting all my emails on it, when i only check email when im away from home on my phone. i can always log on line to do it thru the phone, its just buggin me. i had the htc touch pro before this, and the blackberry so far is a love hate thing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI used to use the left convenience key to lock the device, but after upgrading to 5.0, that function has disappeared. The only way I can lock my device now is by pressing the top lock button, which only locks the keyboard. Am I missing something?

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk in the options you have to enable it ofcoarse so i click enabled and yes i have PTT installed. But when i open the PTT to try to use it, it goes back to Disabled every time. It wont save to enable i get the option to save close it out but still goes back to disabled every time.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy BB Tour 9630 from verison gets hot on the lower back and whenever hot, it will start hanging and will take time to execute commands. A while, it restarts even in the midst of opening a command. I've changed the battery with the hope of a reprieve but its the same story. When I switch off the network it remains cool but once network is connected, it starts warming up.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently come upon a severely aggravating problem: I have a message notification icon that will just not go away. It shows that I have an unread message in my SMS/MMS, but there is nothing at all. I've marked all previous items as opened and even went so far as to delete all of my previous messages, but no dice. The rest of my notifications are working perfectly fine, appearing and disappearing as they should. Any suggestions or fixes? (And yes, of course I already tried a battery pull, I'm aware that's it is the BB panacea for all problems).

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince last week, after I recieved an "event reminder" e-mail from a co-worker, I can NOT get the 1 new message symbol off of my phone. I have gone through ALL of my message folders for days now. I have pulled the battery 5 times. The stupid yellow message symbol with the number 1 WILL NOT GO AWAY! I don't know what to do.
Oh and another thing... after that day, when I try to put my phone on "silent" it still vibrates, and when I put it on "vibrate" it makes sounds!
I've somehow hidden the icon for SMS/MMS access/messages. It's not only no longer on my welcome screen, I can't find it in the list of programs/applications.
After getting an update for my bb world I now have an icon for NFL that I neither use or want. How do I delete this thing?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm syncing my bb tour with a mac. I originally synced it with my pc. I sync my music with the mac and after i eject and the media loads up again.. it still has the the same songs synced. I tried syncing only one playlist and it does the same thing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Tour will not turn on after about 2 weeks of inactivity. The battery was stored in it at appx 40% (I realize this was probably a mistake...). When plugged into the charger, the red light goes on for appx 10 secs, then turns off (whether battery is in or out). Several battery pulls have not made a difference. Phone has been plugged in for over an hour now, with no result. Tried putting the battery in with the phone plugged/unplugged. Plugging phone into PC USB tries to install the drivers (so it's def not fried)

View 5 Replies View RelatedGot a Tour last month, upgraded to new 5.0.0.whatever software with Verizon, started having phantom new messages.I tried everything--battery pull, searching "unopened only" messages, I even wiped my entire phone and reloaded everything.
Nothing worked and Verizon gave me a new phone but two days later, I'M HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
