When I make a call there is a box near the volume that has 5 x's in it. It reminds me of dice. Any clue what it can be? I was going to go Verizon store tomorrow.

Recently I have noticed a new icon appearing in the upper-right corner of my screen when making a call. It's a small square that has a series of +s running diagonally across it. I don't know if I've accidentally changed a setting.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI thought that maybe this problem was related to the .484, but have since installed a .419 based hybrid (Driphter v6.3) and I'm still having the same problem.
What is happening is I am using the headphone jack with an aux cable to plug my BB into an external powered speaker. After every song, the volume will reset itself to a lower volume. Once I click one of the volume buttons, it returns to it's previous volume, but does this after EVERY SINGLE SONG. This occurs while playing music in Slacker, GrooveShark, AND the BB Music player, so it is not related to the software that I am using.
I have checked the options in the media player, and enabled/disabled AUDIO BOOST over and over again and it doesn't make a difference, though every time I enable audio boost, it shows the popup warning about volume levels, I select the box that says "Don't Show me this again", yet, everytime I enable or the audio boost this message still pops up.
This problem is driving me insane, it is impossible to listen to music unless I reset the volume after EVERY SONG. This is a replacement 9630 from Sprint, is it possible that it is the phone itself? Should I get ANOTHER replacement?
Okay folks the problem here is exactly what it sounds like: my BlackBerry Tour has a habit of playing my custom ring tones despite the fact I have the phones volume set to silent in the active profile.This is a behavior I have spent about two hours trying to correct and have been unable to discern a viable solution anywhere. I've got into the settings for the ring tones, theoretically they should be silent along with everything else but it doesn't matter, they continue to play. Normal ring tones do play silently, or rather those numbers to which I have not assigned a custom ring tone. Again this is a problem for me at work, so I'd really appreciate any guidance, it has been very difficult to find.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently come upon a severely aggravating problem: I have a message notification icon that will just not go away. It shows that I have an unread message in my SMS/MMS, but there is nothing at all. I've marked all previous items as opened and even went so far as to delete all of my previous messages, but no dice. The rest of my notifications are working perfectly fine, appearing and disappearing as they should. Any suggestions or fixes? (And yes, of course I already tried a battery pull, I'm aware that's it is the BB panacea for all problems).

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince last week, after I recieved an "event reminder" e-mail from a co-worker, I can NOT get the 1 new message symbol off of my phone. I have gone through ALL of my message folders for days now. I have pulled the battery 5 times. The stupid yellow message symbol with the number 1 WILL NOT GO AWAY! I don't know what to do.
Oh and another thing... after that day, when I try to put my phone on "silent" it still vibrates, and when I put it on "vibrate" it makes sounds!
I've somehow hidden the icon for SMS/MMS access/messages. It's not only no longer on my welcome screen, I can't find it in the list of programs/applications.
After getting an update for my bb world I now have an icon for NFL that I neither use or want. How do I delete this thing?
View 4 Replies View RelatedGot a Tour last month, upgraded to new 5.0.0.whatever software with Verizon, started having phantom new messages.I tried everything--battery pull, searching "unopened only" messages, I even wiped my entire phone and reloaded everything.
Nothing worked and Verizon gave me a new phone but two days later, I'M HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
I have a bb tour and I recently noticed an icon on the top of my home screen and I don't know what it is for. It has the phone like you would see with a missed call but instead of the red x it is either a 4 or an arrow right beside the phone. What does it mean?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to BB App World to 1.0.35 my BB 9630 Tour from US Cellular running v5.0.0484. I have looked in the downloads folder, the apps folder, and every other folder I have on my phone just for GP for that matter but can not find the BB App World Icon. Under the Apps it says that it is installed. I have removed and reinstalled several times and done a battery pull VS a restart more than 10 times. The only thing I have not done is format the phone.

Deleting everything in my message folder
Turning the phone off
Taking the battery out
Sending additional email to see if that re-sets it before taking the battery out

View 1 Replies View RelatedOK I had to call 911 last night for the first time on my new BB after witnessing a Hit & Run, and when later filling out a statement for the police, They wanted the time of the accident in my statment. Well i went to my BB to look up in the call Log to see what time i called, but the 911 Call dose not show up in the call log.
Is this normal? Is there another way to find the call log info for that call, or dose BB not keep records of it? I Just got my BB late dec so I'm still faiirly new to BB's
I upgraded Messenger and now there is no icon on my desktop or anywhere in my list of icons. The program is functional. I can receive IMs. I just can't initiate any because I have no icon.
View 4 Replies View RelatedA new icon popped up on my phone randomly and it says to do a wireless update and when i click it it says i have version 4.7.1.61 and it wants me to update to 4.7.1.61 (4.1.0.81) and I don't know what it means at all, so far I've looked through a few threads already posted but nothing thats 100% the same and I don't want to do something to mess up my phone. Anyone ever seen this or know what it is?I'm also wondering if this has anything to do with the sound not working either. I have the profile set to normal, and all calls set to sound and yet when any calls come in, there is no sound at all. I have check all the sound settings and everything is set to have sound, so I have no idea whats going on.Any help would be appreciated.

I deleted the Gmail COD's because they supposedly cause a battery drain, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I have resent service books several times, and still nothing.

I have set the settings in the options (Ring Tones/Alerts), but it does not beep while in a call. I have also noticed that there is a setting for each contact to alert in a call (default set to no). However, shouldn't the setting in the options menu menu override that if it is set to notify in call?

The reason I ask is I will be in the United States from July 30 - August 27, however I already purchased an American calling plan that gives me 100 roaming free minutes when I make or recieve a call. Anyway it also turns out my number is 1 digit off from the University of Toronto, so there have been a few times when I got phone calls from people thinking that's who they are calling. Now the reason why I am asking is if I can ignore some calls is just incase I see a phone number I don't know while I am in the United States, so I don't want to pick it up and I don't want it going to my voice mail incase they leave me one and then I need to call it and delete it.
