I have a bb tour and I recently noticed an icon on the top of my home screen and I don't know what it is for. It has the phone like you would see with a missed call but instead of the red x it is either a 4 or an arrow right beside the phone. What does it mean?
View 4 RepliesAs of recently, my tour had turned off one day. The screen said technical support required, bring to your provider, or something to that effect. Anyway, the phone was fixed, everything wiped however. Ever since then, a new strange Grey symbol is at the top of my screen, and I have no idea what is means. It is on my home screen, directly between the time and battery life symbols, so basically it is to the left. It looks like a symbol of a mini blackberry with a tiny little pinkish square sticking out of the side of the left side of the phone symbol.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a customer with a Tour 9630 on Verizon Wireless. Anytime he enables the geotagging under the camera options it doesn't work. Location on setting is enabled. The camera always shows a gps symbol with a red X.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHope I'm not asking something that's already been answered, but I searched all the forums and couldn't find anything. I was out-of-state recently and found two unknown icons on my phone while I was gone. I thought maybe one of them indicated roaming, but that's just a guess and I don't know what the other is at all. Across the top of the screen, in order, are
a) the usual number of messages beside the envelope, which I recognize;
b) a number 1 beside a white circle that looks as if there's a white arrow penetrating it from the top right with a red something-or-other (can't really tell, it's so small); and
c) another number 1 beside something that looks a little like the video camera icon (circle, line, circle -- connected at the bottom -- o_o sort of). I've no idea what the latter two are, so I don't know how to get rid of them.
After searching forums and finding nothing except how to avoid or block unknown callers, I can't find an answer to my problem. I get calls from unknown callers and need to answer them, but my phone wont let me hear the caller. Help , I called tech service went to the Sprint store and no one can help. Any Ideas? TY(BTW--BB-9630-V5.0.0.484 with 4.2.0.214 platform)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently come upon a severely aggravating problem: I have a message notification icon that will just not go away. It shows that I have an unread message in my SMS/MMS, but there is nothing at all. I've marked all previous items as opened and even went so far as to delete all of my previous messages, but no dice. The rest of my notifications are working perfectly fine, appearing and disappearing as they should. Any suggestions or fixes? (And yes, of course I already tried a battery pull, I'm aware that's it is the BB panacea for all problems).

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince last week, after I recieved an "event reminder" e-mail from a co-worker, I can NOT get the 1 new message symbol off of my phone. I have gone through ALL of my message folders for days now. I have pulled the battery 5 times. The stupid yellow message symbol with the number 1 WILL NOT GO AWAY! I don't know what to do.
Oh and another thing... after that day, when I try to put my phone on "silent" it still vibrates, and when I put it on "vibrate" it makes sounds!
I've somehow hidden the icon for SMS/MMS access/messages. It's not only no longer on my welcome screen, I can't find it in the list of programs/applications.
After getting an update for my bb world I now have an icon for NFL that I neither use or want. How do I delete this thing?

View 5 Replies View RelatedGot a Tour last month, upgraded to new 5.0.0.whatever software with Verizon, started having phantom new messages.I tried everything--battery pull, searching "unopened only" messages, I even wiped my entire phone and reloaded everything.
Nothing worked and Verizon gave me a new phone but two days later, I'M HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
I upgraded to BB App World to 1.0.35 my BB 9630 Tour from US Cellular running v5.0.0484. I have looked in the downloads folder, the apps folder, and every other folder I have on my phone just for GP for that matter but can not find the BB App World Icon. Under the Apps it says that it is installed. I have removed and reinstalled several times and done a battery pull VS a restart more than 10 times. The only thing I have not done is format the phone.

Deleting everything in my message folder
Turning the phone off
Taking the battery out
Sending additional email to see if that re-sets it before taking the battery out
I am using a Tour 9630 BB. My question is how can I delete an icon the I do not want to use from my home page. I know that I can made it hide, but I would rather delete it and save memory.

View 4 Replies View RelatedA new icon popped up on my phone randomly and it says to do a wireless update and when i click it it says i have version 4.7.1.61 and it wants me to update to 4.7.1.61 (4.1.0.81) and I don't know what it means at all, so far I've looked through a few threads already posted but nothing thats 100% the same and I don't want to do something to mess up my phone. Can someone help me figure out to update or not to update and if not how to make the icon go away and if I do walk me through what to do please, etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that there is an odd icon (black circle with white arrow inside) in the upper right corner of the phone, next to the bluetooth icon and I have no idea what it is. Anyone ever seen this or know what it is?I'm also wondering if this has anything to do with the sound not working either. I have the profile set to normal, and all calls set to sound and yet when any calls come in, there is no sound at all. I have check all the sound settings and everything is set to have sound, so I have no idea whats going on.Any help would be appreciated.
