I have had my Blackberry Curve 8330 on my Verizon plan for 2 months and the trackball has fallen off and the phone currently will not turn on. No it is not Dead. I have charged it for hours(The light does turn on while charging) yet the phone still will not turn on.

After this the greenish yellowish LED light starts blinking to tell me its charging. I absolutely hate that light and can't stand it. I'm not talking about the green coverage indicator light, which is different. Is there any way to turn this off completely?

I unplugged and plugged back in which made the clock pop up so I know it connected right. But its still not charging. I turned the charging indicator led on with berrybuzz and the light didn't turn on when I plugged it in.
Meterberry says the temp is 111 degrees. I don't know what the 'normal' ranges are. I'm still under my 30day warranty so do I take it back? Is anyone else having this problem? Its done this before and it eventually charges but something is going on....

I recently upgraded my OS from 4.6 to 5.0 and everything is going well except, I don't know why my Bold 9000's screen light will NOT turn off while it is in it's cradle charging. I must be messing up on a certain setting It used to turn off for the night while charging.

Ihave tried re-setting it many times, tried different charging ports, left it to drain all battery then charge and unsure if there's anything else I can try.

I went to camera flash settings and turned it off but nothing. Even when I turn the phone off it stays on and wares down the battery.

I took the batter out, back in and tried the scroll mutliple times but it wouldn't work. It would always show the little white box and do software verification. After like 5-8 times, I took it off again and put it back in except this time, the blackberry curve wouldn't turn on, no white box or software verification at all! It still hasn't responded and I connected it to the charger but no response. What do I do?
View 5 Replies View Relatedlast night I took out my simcard and put a new one back into my phone (replacement for a faulty one) and when I went to turn it back on all I got was a solid red light for 2 minutes then nothing else.I looked on here and saw an answer about 'Kick-Starting' it (2 hours plugged in, remove battery for 15 minutes refit and leave for another 2 hours) but nope, that doesn't work, tried changing batteries, nothing Also tried plugging it into the PC using the desktop software and nothing comes up on there either?

I left it alone, and it still wouldnt respond. So i took the battery out, left it for 5 minutes, and put it back in. Usually, it automatically starts up, but this time there was no response. When i tried to turn it on, the screen stayed black, but the light in the corner came on red, for roughly 10 seconds, then turned off, and began to flash for around 3 seconds, every 10 seconds. ive tried plugging it into the computer, however it cannot pick it up, and if i try to install older software (downgrade it, which it recommends to do) it fails just before the end, every time.

I've had the phone for 2 weeks (it was pre-owned) and yesterday the battery died from continues usage. I connected to my computer to charge. The red light turns on when I connect it, but then I try turning it on, it won't. It's not charging at all I think either. I read somewhere that removing the battery for a couple of hours is an option. But in case it doesn't work what can I do? Is there a program I can download?

So straight away i put it on charge, but after about 10 mins nothing came up, only a solid red light indicator in the top right corner of the phone. I have tried EVERYTHING i can find online and nothing seems to be working :'( it only shows red light when on and off charge, my computer wont detect the device and when connected to the pc the solid red light shows up.. but then goes off after about 10 mins!

I charged it throughout the whole night and when i woke up this morning it wont switch on. The red light just comes on for about 10 seconds. The screen wont turn on and it just black, but when i turn it on the red lights comes on and the keypad light, so the phone is clearly on. I thought it was a problem with the actual screen so i got new one and got it put it instead of the old one. this did not fix the problem and the screen still will not turn on.
