I am new to Blackberrys everytime someone sends me a picture with a SMS message. All I get is a message saying I have a picture message and it directs me to my provider. Do I have a setting wrong?
View 7 RepliesI just recently became unable to recieve SMS messages on my phone this morning. I have not changed any settings on the device what so ever. It just randomly stopped working and is the only thing not working.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy W595 has stopped recieving messages. My SIM works fine in other phones & can recieve messages. I have been onto my network (3 Ireland) & they have gone through all the possibilities form a network perspective & a phone perspective (as far as was possible) to no avail. It is not the service centre number (I went through that with the network provider) & I have tried resetting the phone but it still didn't work. I have no saved messages or any messages in my inbox, outbox or drafts & I have 21MB of memory left on the phone & 1891 MB left on the memory card so I don't think it's memory issue. I can send SMS messages without a problem but I cannot recieve any. Would anyone be able to advise as to what the problem is? The phone is still under warranty so I'll get it replaced if necessary but this forum may be an easier & quicker way to get this problem taken care of.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
I have BB Bold 9000 and I bought it in Venezuela (Movistar.) I recently moved to the UK so I unlocked my phone and got service with O2. My phone works ok and I can send BB messages, but I can't receive any BB messages from outside Europe. I have tried taking the battery out and waiting a bit, re registring my handheld with the wireless network and still the problem persists.

I have 5 text messages that will not delete from my phone. I have tried:
a) delete
b) selecting them all and delete
c) going to the date and delete all prior
d) soft reboot with power off
e) hard reboot of removing battery with power on
I have deleted other messages before and after these, so it is just these 5 that will not go away!
I had gotten my blackberry 8330 at Christmas. From then to now, whenever I would send an sms, receive an sms, get an AIM message, get a myspace message, send anything of mms, receive mms, it would ALL appear in the same folder, the "general messages" folder. Now, when I get a message, i have to go to the sms inbox, or the sms outbox to see them. I do not want my messages categorized, so can anyone help me find a way to put all of my messages back into the general folder like before.
When I get a new message, I go to messages and it says there are no new messages. When I go to "view folders" then to my sms inbox, there it is. I would like to see my messages on the "main" message screen, without ever having to go to "view folders" .
Is it possible to print out all my saved text messages from my BB 8300?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had to get a new phone and am needing to tranfer 5 pictures that were accidentally saved to the device rather than the media card. I also have saved messages that I would like to transfer. How do I do this. I have downloaded the BB device manager to my computer and when I plug the device into the computer I can see the 5 pictures but once I unplug it they are gone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my BB 8320 for 21 months now and for about 18 of those I was getting the RIM messages and just put up with them until they just got so unbearable that I ranted to a friend about it. He pointed me in the direction of this forum, which helped me to fix the problem by uninstalling the desktop manager and reinstalling it without selecting the Enterprise Server option.Finally my problem was solved and it felt so liberating
I use my BB for work and I send a lot of SMS messages to clients that need to be recorded. I was forwarding those SMS's as emails to myself so that I could print a hard copy for the file, but recently all of my emails are failing, so it seems I can no longer send email messages from my BB.
I came here to try to find a solution, but I just can't seem to find one, I did however find a link to txtForward which I downloaded in trial version, but it didn't work - while I got the emails on my BB they weren't appearing in my Outlook inbox despite all the settings being correct. The absolute worst thing is that since then I'm getting the dreaded RIM messages again and I have absolutely no idea why
I can't send emails from my BB - they seem to go, but appear about 24 hours or so later with a red X and "Message Status : All attempts to resend failed."Constant RIM messages - Enterprise server is not the issue
Is there a way to list ONLY emails in the Messages screen? I don't want to see Twitter alerts or call log info, JUST emails.Also, is there way a to check for emails manually? When I am home, I don't care about getting the emails on my phone so I want to be able to set how often it checks.

"Device error 424"
"ABORT DATA-reset"
"JVM error 514 .JNI Argument error"
I tried all posible thing what I read from other posts and nothing! Used multiloader ,Crackmem , JL_Cmder. all this things won't workUsed multiloader , Crackmem , JL_Cmder. All this things won't work. and the surprise when my Blackberry is plugged on my PC working like a new Blackberry with no errors nothing, and when I unplug the USB the errors come back and reset.
My Curve 8300 Randomly does NOT Ring when people call me.. or sometimes will not receive texts untill I make a call or something and when I hang up the inbox will have like 10 new messages that it I guess forgot to download untill I made a call.The big thing is though the ringing,, it will randomly not even ring when someone calls me.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to see a combined list of my emails, SMS texts, missed phone calls, voicemails and just about anything else when I opened the Message folder icon on my Blackberry Curve 8330 desktop, but now when I open it, all I get is a blank white screen. When I hit the menu button, the menu pops up without a problem and if I click the track ball, it will open a message, but I can't see the list itself.Also, when I go to view folder I can access any of the individual folders and they come up just fine. The only problem is the combined message list you're supposed to get when you open up the icon on the desktop (or application menu).

I also have lost the ability to send text messages and emails, as well.Tried removing the battery and resetting that way, and have also done a soft reboot per AT&T's instructions.AT&T has also reset my registration (or something like that) and have verified that nothing in my service plan has changed.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter doing the upgrade i been having troubles with blank sent messages and not receiving messages for over 4 hours after the sender sent them. Then i get all messages at on time sometimes up to 6 or 7 messages , i can send them but not receive . Also i get this "uncaught exception : ApplicationRegistry.waitfor(0x9850447e783b0596) timeout " ever since the upgrade also usually after connecting to dtm or removing the battery . Service provider told me to go back to the original 4.6 version that the device came with, where do i find the 4.6 software ? Or does anyone have any suggestions to fix the 5.0 version ?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm a BB newbie but recently received one for work. My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) to my new Curve 8330. I took it to my local Sprint store and they said the contacts can't be transferred because the BB is registered on a BES. The Bluetooth connection won't work either, I assume for the same reason.Am I out of luck or is there some other way I can get the contacts into my BB? I have the contacts stored as individual business card files (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.

It goes straight to my answer fone, even if they r sat next to me!When I try n call out it jus says call failed! View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter trying 3 days to get my BB 8310 Curve connected to my network provider (I do have a data plan and internet plan) Iīm a little bit upset.
The problem: I have all necessary data-plans and also registered my BB on the internet at the Web-Page (BIS?).Ok, my handheld is also recognised and the system doesnīt complain.But: on my handheld I can see only the word "edge" (in small letters - this shows that no data-plan is active as we know, but thatīs not true) and not "EDGE" as it should be.An even better suspicicous issue: I called with the hotline from my provider and he also could see within his database that my handheld is registered and all plans were active.
So I tried following:
I inserted my SIM to another BB and it worked! (not so with my BB)
I also inserted another SIM from my colleague (who also uses a BB) and what happened? Nothing - also no connection.
So I assume that thereīs somehow a bug in my handheld? Has anybody an idea? I would very appreciate it.
By the way, I have the latest OS:
