I just recently became unable to recieve SMS messages on my phone this morning. I have not changed any settings on the device what so ever. It just randomly stopped working and is the only thing not working.

View 4 Replies View Relatedfor the entire time I have had AT&T I have been unable to send MMS messages. I've called AT&T and they've assured me that my MMS is set up correctly on their end. They even cancelled my plan and re set up my account multiple times. I use a 9700 now and previously had an unlocked storm that was unable to send or recieve MMS as well. I've tried swapping my SIM and my bold multiple times and no matter what, I receive the same errors. When I attempt to send an MMS (wether its just text, audio or pictures) I recieve the error message "failed to send message". When I recieve a MMS I recieve the message "go to viewmymessages.com to view this message" I can then pull the message up but its sorta a pain to constantly view my mms messages that way. Anyone got any ideas?

View 4 Replies View RelatedRandomly, my BB will start sending/recieving data (the rx/tx arrows constantly changing back and forth) and the entire phone will lock up. None of the buttons work, it wont respond to anything for about 2-4 mins. Then everything returns to normal. I notice it most in the facebook app or Viigo, mostly because thats when im scrolling a lot. Occasionally, the last button pressed will register after it wakes up from its coma, ie, if i press the back button when its frozen, and nothing after that, when it wakes up, it will *sometimes* register the button. I never get any messages or anything when its doing this.

When I attempt to send something, I get the check mark beside the message confirming it was sent, but they are not being delivered and I am no receiving messages.
Which settings do I need to check? I know it has the latest software. I updated it today.
I am new to Blackberrys everytime someone sends me a picture with a SMS message. All I get is a message saying I have a picture message and it directs me to my provider. Do I have a setting wrong?

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy W595 has stopped recieving messages. My SIM works fine in other phones & can recieve messages. I have been onto my network (3 Ireland) & they have gone through all the possibilities form a network perspective & a phone perspective (as far as was possible) to no avail. It is not the service centre number (I went through that with the network provider) & I have tried resetting the phone but it still didn't work. I have no saved messages or any messages in my inbox, outbox or drafts & I have 21MB of memory left on the phone & 1891 MB left on the memory card so I don't think it's memory issue. I can send SMS messages without a problem but I cannot recieve any. Would anyone be able to advise as to what the problem is? The phone is still under warranty so I'll get it replaced if necessary but this forum may be an easier & quicker way to get this problem taken care of.

My phone works ok and I can send BB messages, but I can't receive any BB messages from outside Europe. I have tried taking the battery out and waiting a bit, re registring my handheld with the wireless network and still the problem persists.

For example, sometimes I get forwarded chain texts and it won't let me view them, it'll show a random block of text and that's it. And if I try to reply to it, it won't show me my reply, it's only doing this with a few contacts, but it's still extremely annoying.I've tried uninstalling my third party apps and it didn't fix it, is it a setting I have to change or does anyone know anything?

It goes straight to my answer fone, even if they r sat next to me!When I try n call out it jus says call failed! Also there is a 45+min delay in my texts coming n going.Three deny there is anything wrong with there network or the fone! Just recently I have had some problems sending normal text messages..The problem is when I want to send a text I go to my contacts and try to send a sms message, but instead of opening up a conversation window I get taken straight to my recieved messages... I havent had a problem replying to messages after people have texted me, its iniating the converstation thats not working.
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust a couple of days ago, I received a BBM from my daughter, although my cell was turned off for the night. I thought maybe I'd not turned it off. Last night again, I turned it off (I always do every night) and was woken early because not only was my turned off phone receiving messages, it had also enabled my Drive Safely app and the phone was busy reading everything to me.I checked and the phone was off. I still had to push the red phone key to turn it on.I immediately did a battery pull and will hope for the best.Has anyone had this experience?

View 13 Replies View RelatedSo I have owned a Black Bold 9700 for a while now and about 2 months ago I switched to a White 9700. I would always get at least one day out of my battery in my black 9700. And I was with my white 9700 as well until about 2 weeks ago.I rarely talk on my phone but I am a heavy user with BBM, text and email and a bit with Facebook which I know uses a lot of battery... I have about 90 contacts on BBM and use it constantly everyday -- chatting with 4 to 5 ppl at a time constantly. However, I'm lucky if my battery lasts from 11am until 5pm anymore. I have tried about 3 different batteries and they all have the same issue. I just upgraded my software from .743 to .862 last night.
And I switched over to a brand new OEM battery 2 days ago. I charged my phone overnight and powered it on at 11am and now at 2:14pm I'm sitting at 75% battery life.I don't have many apps on my phone besides Facebook and Weather Eye. The only apps I ever have running everyday are the ones that have to be running constantly (BBM, Phone, Browser, Messages). I rarely even browse the internet and I don't have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi enabled. However, I am always running on 3G.
I am brand new to blackberry, just got a bold this week (9700). All of my text messages are going to my email inbox. Also I keep getting a text repeated (every 15 minutes yesterday) from a number I don't know, it's "0476000000" and it sends the message "n:m=3=1"

I've just got a new white Bold 9700, and put a 16gb memory card in it from my Curve 8310. I dunno if that's what's caused it, but now I can't see my message folders on the Bold - be that the BBM, text, or my three email accounts. I'm still getting email notifications. What I've done to cause them to hide, and how I can get them back?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I used to have the 8900, and whenever I had a text message, I can just highlight it and click 'save', and it would save a copy of it in a folder, which means I can delete the one I got. For some reason, with OS 5.0, I do not have that option anymore. I went to the SMS option and had it saved to an SD card, but doesn't work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my Blackberry Bold 9700. Yesterday The BBM was a seperate icon under Instant messages. After that i installed BBM version 5.0.0.57, However after the installation the BBM is now combined within masseges. I tried returning it to factory setting and checking the Options but they have no mention about BBM.
Its abit hard to use and i want a seperate icon for this. Was the application supposed to do that? How do i seperate it from messages?
How to mark all messages 'read' without reading them? any shortcut for this?

There's also an icon name "Messages" that is receiving both text messages and my work emails. Is there a way so the Message icon can only receive text messages?
