My 920I Galaxy S6 has stopped receiving calls, either if I am using the phone or it is locked I won't receive any call, I have to restart my phone to get the messages of missed calls and call them back. I tried many different modems, bootloader, roms and firmwares and nothing has worked. Also, I tried both on WIFI and 3G/4G and it doesn't work.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWe have recently upgraded a few 9630 Curves and 9900 Bolds to OS 7.1 (Curve to 7.1.0.336, Bold to 7.1.0.342) from T-Mobile UK. We have one pressing issue that happens on the upgraded curves and bolds. After a few consecutive missed calls when you go in to the messages application it does not show emails, it shows the Missed calls list. No matter how many times you back out and go back in, Missed calls (only) are displayed. Also the same when you go into the call log. it only shows missed calls. I am not aware of a keyboard shortcut to show missed calls only and do not think that is the case as it has happened to these devices too many times after upgrading to 7.1. Has anyone seen this or can provide any assistance?

Text messages are only being received when i switch the phone off then on again they come through. I have somehow set my message box to only show missed calls & I can't get it back to showing all messages?I have looked in messages options - inbox management & Desktop is ticked as well as text messages. I also in 'phone', options, call logs and lists, changed 'Show These Call Log Types in Message List' to None & it still only shows Missed Call as the title & shows the list. I looked in the long on-line manual but it didn't help. Also I tried View Folder to select different mail folders from my desk based Outlook list but still the display is stuck...

I want to set the alert and have it remind me every two minutes of so that I have new messages and or missed calls. This is how my old phones used to work... (don't ask) Now I want to consider a Droid 4, but I can't remember if the RAZR had a notification LED for missed calls & messages but the real question is does the Droid 4 have a notification LED? This is important to me, as I need to keep my phone on silent a lot of the time, and the flashing LED is about the only way I know if I've missed a call (without waking the screen.)

I miss a call. I get the notification and dismiss it.
If I go to the Phone app, under Recent I see all my other calls - incoming, outgoing, and rejected. But it doesn't show me my missed calls. So once I dismiss the notification I have no record of the missed call.

Today I had to turn off my phone for an exam. I'm waiting for a call from a potential employer any day now. I felt confident that even with my phone off, when I would turn it back on it would show me any phone number or contact that tried to call me and left a message. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
I was sure I would get a call today. So I tested it out: I turned off my phone and tried calling it. Goes straight to voicemail, left a voicemail. Turn on phone...no notifications of a phone call or voicemail. So, I called my voicemail and said 1 new message, luckily that was the only one and it was my voicemail. But now I don't think I can turn my phone off ever so I don't miss a call.
My Curve 8300 Randomly does NOT Ring when people call me.. or sometimes will not receive texts untill I make a call or something and when I hang up the inbox will have like 10 new messages that it I guess forgot to download untill I made a call.The big thing is though the ringing,, it will randomly not even ring when someone calls me.

My galaxy s5 got some water damage I think because since then when I go to make a call or accept a call it automatically freezes and restarts. Also the speaker does not work from the damage. Can I not take calls because the speaker doesn't work?

Issue: For the last week, I have been missing almost all of my incoming calls. It rings from in/from the calling phone, but nothing comes through on my phone. This started at the same time that my outbound texts started hour-glassing (green/blue rotating circle) for 30-90 seconds before sending - some texts "fail to send" altogether. Also, sometimes when surfing the internet (Chrome and apps) on the network (full bars of 4G LTE), websites don't load - they time out. This has always happened (very occasionally) but seems to happen a lot more often since the texting/calling issues have surfaced.
Attempts to fix: I have updated my PRL. I have ensured that my 'network mode' was still in LTE/CDMA. I have reset settings back to pre-set using ##72786#. I have taken my phone to a Sprint store and was told that they only thing they could recommend was to factory-reboot my phone but that it probably wouldn't fix the issues.
Other notes: I have not downloaded any new apps around the time the issues came about. Also, turning my "network mode" to CDMA seems to fix the incoming call problem (but then I don't have 4G)

Went into my local VF shop and they said to check there has not been a never firmware update but Kies finds nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI received a new Samsung S5 4 days ago and hadn't noticed until now that incoming calls weren't getting through, when I tried calling my mobile from a different number it was saying that the phone wasn't connected. Fix - re-seat the sim card - Worked for about 2 minutes and was successfully receiving incoming calls, then I noticed that every call I made to the mobile went to the answer machine so called Virgin mobile back. Fix - Go into settings and remove reference to LTE as follows (I am on a 3G contract)

. Select WCDMA/GSM (auto connect) – The default is 'LTE/WCDMA/GSM' and as I don't have LTE was told to switch this off
This fix worked for another 2 minutes, and then I noticed that every incoming call went to the answer machine, so I called back...
Fix - Turn off wifi
Incoming calls work fine now, and every time I turn on wifi they go to answer machine. It appears to be a little intermittent, but I can reproduce the issue fairly consistently when turning the wifi (in the settings) on and off.
I just received a new S5 on a warranty issue from Verizon. Same battery, SIM, and SD card as old phone. When I make or receive a call i have absolutely no sound. If I turn on speakerphone all sound returns. If I turn it off, no sounds and the person on the other end sometimes gets a high-pitched ringing. Could it be a headphone jack issue?

If you miss a call or SMS on the C5 then there is no way to tell.
You cannot see the indicator on the screen saver (power saver) display because it is so unbelievably dark (what is the point of that ?!). Also, no flashing buttons/lights to indicate a missed call message.
My previous phone (6300) used to flash its side light for over an hour so that you knew there was something to check. The battey life for this phone is quite impressive - but unfortunately this seems to be at the expense of the usability of the phone.
How could I activate the led notification when I recieved the missed calls

I know normal cellphones know and if I answer an unknown call, that the number is stored in the phone. How can I know the phone numbers of the calls I missed?
Or maybe, what do I do so that the future call numbers are registered so that I can call them back?
I have very poor reception at my school. I usually don't look at my phone for 4-5 hours into the day...is there a program that is available that can give an email if I miss a call or sms etc...? I carry my iPad with me and can view emails ...but if i have my phone the lack of reception kills my battery in an hour....
