I bought a Galaxy S6 one month ago. I am not receiving snaps now. I get no notifications, and I have no new snaps listed, when I click on my friends. Although they are sending them out often.
View 4 RepliesI have a Galaxy S6 64 GB from T-Mobile, running 5.1.1 with TouchWiz. For whatever reason, I'm not getting notifications from apps like Bleacher Report, Clash of Clans, Snapchat, ESPN, etc. I've checked my notification settings and none of them are blocked. I literally have not gotten a notification from any of these apps in several weeks.
View 16 Replies View RelatedSo when running Skype on my galaxy s6 (t-mobile variant but it's an app so I thought it might be all variants with this issue).
It will stay logged in and I will keep receiving messages for a short time. Even when I keep running skype in the background I will not receive notifications after a while like more than 30+ mins.
So, I have to launch the app or go through my recents and it acts as it's signing in and then I get my new messages.
It even says before you log out for the first time that you can stay logged on and keep receiving notifications without consuming the battery (which I think is bull, too).
Is it the app of the phone? Or the provider? This happens on data or wifi.
I have an S6. And it has had the latest software update. Ever since yesterday, I am not receiving any notifications for ANYTHING, be it messages, whatsapp, facebook, snapchat etc, I only see I have a message if I click directly into the app and then it shows me i have new text/snap or whatevs. This is frustrating so much!!!!! Ive checked in my settings and I have all my notifications switched on, I even set them as a priority but still no joy! I have also restarted my device a couple of times in the hope that would work but nope ....
View 8 Replies View RelatedI sometimes don't get notified at all of a new email and I need to refresh the gmail and or it will show on the widget but no notification on the lock screen and or sound or vibrate. I have it set to alert me for every email and it doesn't. This also happens with yahoo but not as often. I do receive notifications right away with my iPad .. Some other apps as well I am notified right away. I have done a wipe cache partition and also cached data delete. I also tried to uninstall the updates and reinstalled and nothing. I'm guessing it has to do with the apps itself because I receive all notifications right away with my texts and fb messages. A little upsetting that I've never had this issue with my iPad, it was either this phone or the iPhone 6 and now I'm having regrets. I'm running 5.1.1 with T-Mobile.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been enjoying my new Galaxy S6 for the past couple days but one thing I've noticed is that I'm not receiving any Gmail push notifications. I only ever notice new emails getting pulled in when I open the Gmail (or Inbox) app, and it executes a refresh now that the app is open. If I'm not using the app or my phone's screen is off -- nothing.
I've tried a number of different things, including making sure Power Saving mode is turned off and ensuring that auto sync is enabled for my Google account. I've also made sure that all the appropriate Gmail labels are set to notify me.
One thing I've noticed, in the process of discovery for my Gmail issues, is that when looking at my Google sync information on my phone, the "last synced at" time is usually very out of date.. sometimes it's a couple hours ago, sometimes it's a day ago. I'm wondering if my phone is for some reason just not polling on a regular, more reasonable interval.
FYI I'm getting push notifications from other apps (including Hangouts) as expected.
I upgraded from HTC One M7 to S6 Edge on launch and recently I bought Spotify premium and I noticed that my phone mutes music every time I receive notification. I like to text/whatsapp while listening to music or browsing Internet. Is there a way to make the notification sound just be on top of the music without muting it?

My instagram and snapchat will not refresh or load at all unless I turn off my wifi and use my data. I've tried restarting my phone and resetting it by taking out the battery and stuff but nothing works.
So to make it clear the apps work while using Data but does not work when Im using my WiFi. And just last week I could use my WiFi for the apps and now i cant. I haven't updated my phone at all since then either.
I was wondering if there was an easier, more streamlined setting I am missing where you can save the pics you download from 3rd party apps right to the memory card. I have been downloading them and then manually moving them to the memory card but its always a hassle. The normal camera app gives you the nice setting to have them auto save to the memory card so that's awesome. Though I am wondering if other apps I use can do this too?

First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar.

I have also assigned Mail and Calendar App to receive push notifications while Battery Saver is On. However, I'm not receiving push notifications and I am forced to sync Gmail manually. My phone is running the latest release, i.e., .71. How this can be resolved? Or, is this is a known issue which MSFT is still working on?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using a 950 XL since early December and have been experiencing spotty performance with receiving App notifications. After performing 2 hard resets (one in particular to solve the Outlook email image problem), my 950 XL has been performing well except with failure to receive notifications from apps which are all set ON for background use. These include the MSN News, Sports, and Money apps, as well as other apps such as CNN, ESPN, ABC NEWS, NBC NEWS. Fortunately, Outlook mail and calendar notifications work fine and IM apps such as Telegram and WhatsApp seem to work on occasion (with some delays), but Skype rarely works.
But after I do a soft reset, a flood of notifications from the aforementioned apps will normally come through. Notifications will continue to work for up to about an hour, then nothing until after I do another soft reset. The same thing then happens and notifications start to come through. I have Bluetooth enabled and paired with my Vector watch and Band 1, and notifications work perfect for them. I've tried turning off Bluetooth, but this did not solve my problem with receiving notifications. I just received the most recent firmware update 2 days ago and I'm currently on build .29.
I have a Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to stop the notification of receiving an e-mail without stopping the notification of text messages. Is there a way to differentiate? I was able to do this on older phones.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo im not reciving any update notifications for any apps. If i go to the Store there is no notifications but if i got to an app like "Nokia Maps" there will be an update. Also I dont recive any of the updates for "Extras+info" that i keep hearing about. I know some people are saying to go to windowsphone.com and force the update from Puchased apps but it doesnt show up there.

anyone else having problems with the gmail push notifications right now on their iphones? i stopped receiving push notifications for 2 days ago. I still receive push messages from gmail from time to time, but thats like 40 min after i receive the email in the inbox.

Trouble is, when I then click on my email account to read these messages, they are not there - the screen reads *no messages*. How I might be able to read my emails?
