Xperia X10 :: Receiving Multiple SMS And Notifications
Aug 4, 2010
I've had my X10 mini pro for about a month and now I can't stand some of the "features" anymore. First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar.
apart from having no battery in the box when i first got it, i haven't had any major issues with my xperia x10 mini pro as of yet (touch wood!) but having some minor problems.recently, if someone sends me a text message, i would receive it 3 or 4 times, which is pretty irritating. also i've never been able to watch Internet videos (or any videos online for that matter). i have the tubemate app but it doesn't work, and trying to watch a Internet video on the browser doesn't work either.
Seems that even when I turn off synchronize accounts I still receive notifications so obviously the phone still synchronizes. Most annoying is the Yahoo mail app.
Experiencing multiple notifications from Google Now of the exact same thing repeatedly ? I'll clearly it then 5 secs later it'll appear again, I don't know if it's a bug or the notification app I'm using.
Since I had to change my Torch 9810 from a defective one I have been getting multiple App World notifications about the same app. I just had 7 for a pattern lock app all with the same time. How can I stop this?
I know there's a setting for overall LED notifications but I'd like to set a different color based on the notification type. Especially for the two email accounts I am using, something like green for work email and red for personal email.
Is this possible without a separate app? If not, what app do you recommend? I really don't need it for anything else other than that.
When a friend of mine sends me a group of photos, as in get like 5 - 10 pictures in a single message, the quality or size of each picture is reduced. On my Message app the size is reduced to about 1/6 of its original size. On Go SMS Pro, the size stays the same but the picture are blurry. At first I thought this was something caused by texting Apple / iPhone users but it also happens when I get pictures from other androids. Also if I send pictures after a certain number at once, when I check preview the size of a picture gets smaller.
Why am I getting two notifications for the same email? Also when I click on an email icon that has a number next to it I get into one client, but if I drop notification bar down and choose the email notification I am getting into another client and that's the one I actually prefer.
I know that with the Gingerbread update the duplicate SMS issue was supposed to be fixed but it is still horrendous on my phone. I just received 10..10 copies of the same SMS. This is not a one off occurrence either. Almost daily I receive multiple copies of the same message. I know I'm on a Droid 2 and am due for a much needed upgrade but am trying to hold out for a Droid 5 (if there is even to be one). In other words I'll probably wait until the beginning of 2013 before I pull the trigger on a new phone. Is it safe to say there are no more software updates coming? I know it won't be ICS or anything but any bug fixes? The last time I reset my phone was approximately 60 hours ago, it just froze so had to hard reset.
for some reason, I am receiving calls on multiple devices when they are in close proximity. For example, if my wife receives a call then my son's phone and my phone will also ring. All devices have been logged out of the Apple ID. As far as I know, this is not happening with iMessage.
I have noticed that I am receving the same text 2,3 even sometimes 4 times in a row. In one text coversation this morning with my wife, about 60% of the texts she sent me were received multiple times. (she on Dx2). This happens randomply and with texts received from friends on other carriers. This started happening sometime after one of the last updates, but I have not had a lot of extra time to research it. I did search the forum but found no similiar problems.
When I send a message on my iPhone 6 to multiple people, how can I have their replies only sent to me and not seen by everyone on my original distribution?
I have many contacts that are couples and have a phone number for each individual. For example, if I had a contact for Jack & Jill, I would have a mobile number for Jill and a mobile number for Jack. In the Contacts I also custom label each mobile number as Jill's mobile and Jack's mobile. When I receive a text message from either of these phone numbers, in Messages I just see that the text is from Jack & Jill. I can't see if it is from Jack's mobile or Jill's mobile. Is there any way to see in Messages exactly which mobile is sending me the text? Or am I going to have to have a separate contact for each person, i.e. Jack & Jill will have to be split up as a contact for Jill and a contact for Jack?
I received the same message multiple times and the person that sends it only did it once. Also, I have trouble getting texts from non iPhone using friends.
So I noticed that when I send an email through Exchange. I end up sending anywhere between 3 and 15 emails. and also get a "message not sent" display at the notifcation bar. My other incoming emails (except gmail) I get between 10 and 20 copies of emails coming in. I have tried restarting, reinitializing the email clients. etc with no avail.
Cleared data for google service framework trying to force the lollipop update on my T-Mobile g3 and also force stopped it. Now I'm not receiving push notifications.
Any solution to fix Facebook notifications on Android? I've googled and tried methods like removing all devices from Facebook account, removing it from the phone and nothing works!I used to receive them just fine on iOS but can't get them anymore.
I'm using Gmail in Lumia 950 while setting Battery Server to On, and I have set the sync settings to "As Items Arrive". I have also assigned Mail and Calendar App to receive push notifications while Battery Saver is On. However, I'm not receiving push notifications and I am forced to sync Gmail manually. My phone is running the latest release, i.e., .71. How this can be resolved? Or, is this is a known issue which MSFT is still working on?
I've been using a 950 XL since early December and have been experiencing spotty performance with receiving App notifications. After performing 2 hard resets (one in particular to solve the Outlook email image problem), my 950 XL has been performing well except with failure to receive notifications from apps which are all set ON for background use. These include the MSN News, Sports, and Money apps, as well as other apps such as CNN, ESPN, ABC NEWS, NBC NEWS. Fortunately, Outlook mail and calendar notifications work fine and IM apps such as Telegram and WhatsApp seem to work on occasion (with some delays), but Skype rarely works.
But after I do a soft reset, a flood of notifications from the aforementioned apps will normally come through. Notifications will continue to work for up to about an hour, then nothing until after I do another soft reset. The same thing then happens and notifications start to come through. I have Bluetooth enabled and paired with my Vector watch and Band 1, and notifications work perfect for them. I've tried turning off Bluetooth, but this did not solve my problem with receiving notifications. I just received the most recent firmware update 2 days ago and I'm currently on build .29.
I have a Galaxy S6 64 GB from T-Mobile, running 5.1.1 with TouchWiz. For whatever reason, I'm not getting notifications from apps like Bleacher Report, Clash of Clans, Snapchat, ESPN, etc. I've checked my notification settings and none of them are blocked. I literally have not gotten a notification from any of these apps in several weeks.
I bought a Galaxy S6 one month ago. I am not receiving snaps now. I get no notifications, and I have no new snaps listed, when I click on my friends. Although they are sending them out often.
So when running Skype on my galaxy s6 (t-mobile variant but it's an app so I thought it might be all variants with this issue).
It will stay logged in and I will keep receiving messages for a short time. Even when I keep running skype in the background I will not receive notifications after a while like more than 30+ mins.
So, I have to launch the app or go through my recents and it acts as it's signing in and then I get my new messages.
It even says before you log out for the first time that you can stay logged on and keep receiving notifications without consuming the battery (which I think is bull, too).
Is it the app of the phone? Or the provider? This happens on data or wifi.
So im not reciving any update notifications for any apps. If i go to the Store there is no notifications but if i got to an app like "Nokia Maps" there will be an update. Also I dont recive any of the updates for "Extras+info" that i keep hearing about. I know some people are saying to go to windowsphone.com and force the update from Puchased apps but it doesnt show up there.
Attached is my "Extras+Info" information. Iv tried factory reseting my phone too.
anyone else having problems with the gmail push notifications right now on their iphones? i stopped receiving push notifications for 2 days ago. I still receive push messages from gmail from time to time, but thats like 40 min after i receive the email in the inbox.
9780/6.0.0.570. For the past 24 hours my emails have been coming through and I've been receiving the usual notifications via the message icon when they do. Trouble is, when I then click on my email account to read these messages, they are not there - the screen reads *no messages*. How I might be able to read my emails? I've done two battery pulls and have deleted and set-up my email account all over again - neither tricks have worked.
I've unticked everything in the Facebook options on my blackberry but I'm STILL getting the annoying notifications from facebook. I've even had to take my phone number off my facebook page and logout from my phone to stop them, but as soon as I log in again, 'ding ding ding.' goes my phone again
I had to get a replacement BB today, and I downloaded FB for BB onto the new phone and now I don't get any of my notifications through the app. I don't want notifications through email OR text.
