View 2 Replies View RelatedJust bought a BB Curve 8520 from a friend of mine yesterday. Now I got a little issue and he doesn't know the solution as well.Yesterday, when I pressed the messages button on the home screen (normal background), the SMS and MMS folder opened. When I had a new message, it directly showed it in the folder..Now since today, when I open the folder, I need to go to the options menu > display folder and then select SMS Inbox before it shows me the new messages. Is it a specific option that I changed that could cause this? It's kind of irritating that I need to go through the menu each time to read new text messages.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I receive a call and I miss that call i don't get an alert of ever getting that call. The phone icon doesn't show I missed it, doesn't tell me I have a voice mail or anything. My phones pretty brandnew, only a few weeks old.

it can show up in my message log. i don't need to see a message that says i have X amount of missed calls, and then required to push the OK button. I don't need to push that button, i can see the missed call symbol perfectly fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen. Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
I just purchased a LG G3 (coming from a Note 3) and noticed that notifications do not wake up the lock screen like the Note did. Also, when I do receive a text, I have to swipe to unlock the screen and it does not give a preview of the text, only who sent it. Is this a limitation of the phone? For work, I need the preview on the lock screen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I have a missed call my notification only says "Missed Call / Wireless Caller" instead of displaying the name or phone number of the person who called even when they are in my address book. I cant seem to find a setting for this besides the "Notifications on lock screen- Show content" which I have already enabled. I also have "Show caller information" enabled in the call settings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIphone 4. iOS 5 So when I'm talking on the phone and a text message/email/notification comes in, it vibrates/sounds and blasts me in my ear! I love the notifications, just not when I'm talking on the phone.I consistently have to pull the phone away from my ear when this happens. You don't realize how intense the vibration/sound is until it's in your ear. Is there a way to disable the notification (or at least mute it) while my face is up to the phone?I've searched this on google and it seems there is nothing to take this off.

I've got my messages, emails, etc. etc. moved out of the messages folder to their respective icons. The only thing I can't figure out and haven't yet found in the forums, is how to move the missed calls from my message folder.I don't want to use the messages folder for anything. I've tried hiding it but it still shows the missed calls. Is there a way to make a missed calls folder, or add them to the sms/mms folder like my voicemail notices are?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to stop email and text notifications when I am on a phone call? I have a long email alert and message tone, and when I'm on a call and they go off, it's so loud and long I can't hear who I'm talking to. They can't hear the alert but it goes on for so long they waffle on and I miss a lot of conversation. Why is this not automatically disabled or set to silent when taking a call?

How do I stop Blackberry apps being listed in my current messages folder? I have not requested any apps but when I open the Messages folder they are permanently listed there - there is no delete facility and if you touch them they simply open up and try and get you to buy or download the app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8530 and I have an icon on my home screen that I cannot figure out. It looks similar to the icon used for missed call or placed call except it has a curved arrow next to it. It is a gold phone receiver and the arrow is bent at a 45 degree angle. (Kind of like a backwards check mark with an arrow head on the bottom). I have a suspicion that it has to do with call forwarding since I forwarded calls to different phone # the other day, however, I cancelled that. I have checked my messages folder, rebooted, pulled battery, done an update, etc. Nothing works. I looked through the manual and it doesn't show the icon.

Does anyone know which setting I have changed and where it is?
When I select the envelope icon for new e-mail messages, I got forwarded to the missed calls listing. The same occurs when I select SMS, it also goes immediately to missed calls. What should I do? Removing the batt when power on has been done already but no help.Is there somewhere a code to reset my device? Maybe another method without loosing my data, settings, and messages?

Facebook Notifications
And I have turned off the Email Notifications.I have pulled the battery, rebooted, deleted the application, reinstalled the application....nothing keeps me from being notified about notifications.
I have a Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to stop the notification of receiving an e-mail without stopping the notification of text messages. Is there a way to differentiate? I was able to do this on older phones.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my curve 8320, I had a folder "SMS & MMS" for just SMS and MMS messages, and separate folders for email accounts (***@gmail.com & ***@tmo.blackberry.com) and another folder "Messages" for all messages.
On my 8900, the only folders I have is just the "Messages" folder, and my email folders. Is there anyway to get the "SMS & MMS" folder back? I hate going through all my emails and whatnot for my text messages.
I opened up my pictures folder earlier today and a random picture of the Blackberry symbol was there, that I know I did not take, and no one else has been using my phone...I deleted some of the apps I no longer use and then rebooted my phone, only to find a few more random pictures in the folder, one being a gold star, and another that looked like the red star that normally appears when there is an update available in the Blackberry app store.
