How do I stop Blackberry apps being listed in my current messages folder? I have not requested any apps but when I open the Messages folder they are permanently listed there - there is no delete facility and if you touch them they simply open up and try and get you to buy or download the app.

I have a Blackberry Torch that I use for work but it keeps offering me Apps downloads - these are listed in my messages on desktop but there is no 'delete' option. If you open or scroll through the Apps pages there is still no delete option on the menu key, and there seems to be no 'unsubscribe' option either. how to get rid of the Apps offers?

This number will increase over time & the only way to clear it is to remove the battery. Bell can't solve this & I'm not about to pay for customer service. I'll switch to an iPhone first.

When I select View Folder and select SMS Inbox I can see all my SMS messages up until current.Does anyone know how to fix the corrupt SMS/MMS icon (which is presumably pointing to a corrupt view of the SMS Inbox)?

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust having some problems uninstalling apps. I tried going through the aplication list on the phone and deleting from there, and even through desktop manager. Problem is, desktop manager doesn't list all the apps, and when tried it from there (ie; Beweather so I can get the upgrade), it just archives it!! How do I get rid of the archive....as fr as I know, the archive still takes up space in memory, and when I tried installing new versions of the software (ie; Beweather), it just loads the old version!! Geese this is annoying!! I would hate to wipe my phone and start from scratch again adjusting everything to how I like it.

The phone icon went missing and it's not listed with in the apps area/drawer. However, when I check under Application Manager, its shows three phone applications which seem to be dupes. They can't be uninstalled or disabled. I've done force close and restarted the phone but no luck. I'm using Nova Launcher. I just got the the phone set-up the way I wanted so the the thought of a factory reset makes me queasy.

Does the 9810 really share the same dimensions as the 9900 / 9930? How can that be; one is a portrait device and one is a landscape device?Also, shouldn't the 9850 / 9860 be a 480 * 800 given that it's a portrait device?
I deleted the applications folder on my BlackBerry Torch 9810, and although i still have the applications that were in the folder, the folder is no longer there, so the only way for me to access those applications is through the search.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
