May 19, 2011When I receive a text message I need to scroll down to the current message in order to read it. What can I do to open my messages on the current message?

BB Torch :: Stop Apps Being Listed In Current Messages Folder?
Sep 13, 2011How do I stop Blackberry apps being listed in my current messages folder? I have not requested any apps but when I open the Messages folder they are permanently listed there - there is no delete facility and if you touch them they simply open up and try and get you to buy or download the app.

Jan 28, 2010I used to be able to see a combined list of my emails, SMS texts, missed phone calls, voicemails and just about anything else when I opened the Message folder icon on my Blackberry Curve 8330 desktop, but now when I open it, all I get is a blank white screen. When I hit the menu button, the menu pops up without a problem and if I click the track ball, it will open a message, but I can't see the list itself.Also, when I go to view folder I can access any of the individual folders and they come up just fine. The only problem is the combined message list you're supposed to get when you open up the icon on the desktop (or application menu).

Oct 6, 2011I have 2 new Text sms messages, the icon is showing on my phone, when i try to open the sms file it gives me this message .

It will not allow me to view or even open the folder.I have tried rebooting it by taking the battery out etc, no joy.

Feb 10, 2011I'm new to Blackberry and have the 9800. When I receive a new message (sms or mms) from a specific contact, the message shows in my text message folder (along with others I've received and am able to open and see), but when I open it to read the full message, it just shows the grey screen and all previous messages also doesn't show.I've deleted the entire conversation and would be able to read 1 or 2 new messages afterwards and then at some point when I receive or send a new message, everything will dissappear again.I've removed the battery, marked all as unopened, changed options settings such as combine sequintial, autoscale images, leave messages on sim, etc. but nothing works.

In the message list window I press the Blacberry key, scroll down and select 'options' - the options page pops up for about a second, and then I'm taken back to message list. I'm able to open email and other options windows without an issue - this only happens for text message options. Any ideas?

BB Torch :: Message Icon Showing But No New Messages
Sep 20, 2012I'm using a Torch 9800 and I have a message icon in the little notification bar in between the profile selector and the search but I have no messages. I have no voicemail that I haven't listened to, no unread facebook messages or emails, no missed calls, nothing that I can see that would create the little envelope message icon and if I click on it it does not show that I have any messages - only my calender entries. This happened about a month ago and then happened again 2 days ago so I now have 2 messages showing but no messages which is so irritating. Not stopping my phone from working or anything horrid like that, just an irritation as I think I have a message when I don't actually have any unread messages. I have also tried to reboot a number of times but then 1st thing I see when it reboots is those 2 stupid messages that don't exist.

This number will increase over time & the only way to clear it is to remove the battery. Bell can't solve this & I'm not about to pay for customer service. I'll switch to an iPhone first.

Aug 23, 2010After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing

Aug 14, 2010I use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
