I'm trying to modify my text message options. In the message list window I press the Blacberry key, scroll down and select 'options' - the options page pops up for about a second, and then I'm taken back to message list. I'm able to open email and other options windows without an issue - this only happens for text message options. Any ideas?

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsually when I write an sms it shows up green and imessages shows up blue, and they both show up chronologically in the same window. I.e. my iphone understands it is from the same person and therefor post both types of messages in the same window. However a month ago or so my boyfriends imessages started showing up in a seperate window from his regular green text messages... Why? We have changed no settings of any sort. Nothining has been altered, and on his iphone both types of texts show up in the same window. My other iphone contacts also show up in the same window with both green an blue texts. How come his dont? His email as such is not a part of his contact details, i did however try adding it to see if that would help make the messages go in the same window but it didnt He has a iphone 3s i have 4, (not s).All I want is for the blue and the green messages to live together in perfect harmony within one window...

when I am in the email (Messages) folder and open up the menu the "Options" selection is available but when selected nothing happens. Previously it had worked OK just more recently the issue has occurred for no reason I can particularly specify.Consequently I cannot change any of my email settings (Signature, views etc) which is getting inconvenient now!I am using a work enterprise (BES) activated phone and have tried usual tricks i.e. Battery removal, software updates etc.

Also I cannot view my network and connections to see whether my data service is turned on. I am currently not receiving data on my device. This is alarming as I spent a small fortune to acquire this device today. Again I discovered to my horror the earpiece jack does not hold in the port of my device and unable to listen to music via handsfree. The options icon on the home screen does not open at all when I touch it.Instead it freezes. Same with the network and connections options under network connections.

I tried backing up the text messages on my computer. To my surprise, Nokia PC Suite (recently updated version: 7.1.180.46) doesn't even recognize any of these old text messages. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I am viewing an SMS conversation, with lets say someone named bob, and bob sends me another message, it does not beep if I am still in the bob sms window. I get no notification. To get a notification I have to back out or lock the screen each time.
Sometimes I sit my phone down waiting for a reply and when it beeps I know I have a reply. however, with the s6 I am forced to back out of mine and bob's chat window each and every time just so I can receive the notification beep again to know when he has replied. Is there a way to fix this? Or am I forced to use a 3rd party app (not preferred)
When messaging app is closed I receive an initial sound notification for received text message. When chat window is open and texts are received there is no sound with each new text (and if window stays open while you are doing something else you have no sound notification of text received within that thread).

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
BB Torch 9810 keeps opening mails automatically, no red LED signal so I dont know when I get new messages, they are there but like they were already read.
