I've just bought the N900, but when I get a text message and try to open and read it, I immediately get to the reply window. I want to know how I can read the full message.

Usually when I write an sms it shows up green and imessages shows up blue, and they both show up chronologically in the same window. I.e. my iphone understands it is from the same person and therefor post both types of messages in the same window. However a month ago or so my boyfriends imessages started showing up in a seperate window from his regular green text messages... Why? We have changed no settings of any sort. Nothining has been altered, and on his iphone both types of texts show up in the same window. My other iphone contacts also show up in the same window with both green an blue texts. How come his dont? His email as such is not a part of his contact details, i did however try adding it to see if that would help make the messages go in the same window but it didnt He has a iphone 3s i have 4, (not s).All I want is for the blue and the green messages to live together in perfect harmony within one window...

I'm trying to modify my text message options. In the message list window I press the Blacberry key, scroll down and select 'options' - the options page pops up for about a second, and then I'm taken back to message list. I'm able to open email and other options windows without an issue - this only happens for text message options. Any ideas?

If I want to send them a new text message, I have to write a new one instead of replying. What could cause this issue? I can reply to most of my contacts. I had this issue on my previous Xperia phone as well.

I get an error message that says the number is invalid because it isn't a ten digit number. I enter a ten digit number for the Sender in my Contacts, but I receive the same error message.

View 5 Replies View RelatedNot sure why, my N900 seems to be pretty slow in opening up web pages. The home screen says that I am on 3.5G. At times the page wouldn't even get loaded (white screen or connection error).To test if it is due to bad coverage, I pull out the SIM card and put it back to my N97. And the web pages seem to load a lot faster (and smoother). This is strange. Is there some settings I need to fiddle with? I have tried changing the memory cache size from 5MB up but the improvement does not seem to be consistant. Now, I set the cache to auto.

I talked to nokia and they said 'it was like that to start with...' I didnt feel like arguing so I politely ended the call.It appears that only facebook is doing this at the moment.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have an E63 that is about 4 months old. It stopped opening my text messages a few weeks ago, but I was able to open them again after an hour or so. It has been a few hours and I'm starting to become worried because my phone isn't opening the messages at all. Whenever I click the select button or select "open" from the message menu it acts as if I didn't press any button. I can reply back, and it'll mark it as read, but I cannot personally see the full text message.

Instead it brings me to a random part of the conversation(although it is usually the same part over and over). This is very small, but very annoying indeed. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to fix this issue

I cannot move around the window and I cannot get to and tick where it is presumably asking me to 'agree'. All I can think of doing is uninstalling Kies and reinstalling the presumably new version. In one of my trips to Manila I went to a Nokia Care Center in SM MOA and they also said nothing is wrong with my phone ,they claim that with their own sim card they can send and receive messages . So Again I went Smart Iloilo Philippines where they also told me nothing is wrong with the with the operator settings.

My Electricfy will not "reply to all" on text messages. I've read some posts that want to disable the feature but mine will not "reply to all" automatically. In fact, it only sends it to the person that started the text. My HTC Desire would allow a "reply to all" feature so I figure there might be a way but I've not found it.

I found out last night that when you reply to a text message that had more than one original recipient...all original recipients receive your reply...not just the one that sent the text to you. Has anyone had this problem? Or has anyone ran across how to fix this "wonderful" default on their phone?

Have already n900 for 6months and have to say that I"m wery disappointed. one of the little things which just make me mad is why is not possible switch on the normal key board , so u can text just with one hand? at the moment everything and not only txt, u have 2 use both hands . Any chance to change this ?

After booting, every message in conversations disappeared (text messages and im).Now when I get now messages, those appear normal in those new messages, but when I try to reopen those from conversations, it says no conversations. Even messages I sent doesn't appear there.

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust recently, for no apparent reason, I have had some serious problems with my N900!When I try to send/receive a message, it comes up with an error every 30secs "Unable to send/receive messages. Device storage full. Free user space." However, device storage is NOT full. Rootfs is at 76%.I have two corrupt messages in Conversations, which cannot be deleted. Pressing Delete or Clear Conversation simply does nothing. I also have about 4 calls in recent calls which do not delete. I belive the database is corrupted, and this is causing the problem.
I CANNOT re-flash at the moment, my USB port is broken. However, I can change anything through SSH or xTerm. Is it possible to simply navigate to the Conversations/Call Logs files through SSH, and delete them, or replace them with virgin ones, to fix this issue??

I have 780 songs and 10 videos and 200 pictures. It still has 21GB and says that I have enough storage for everything.I need this message to stop, It keeps popping up every minute. I takes a while to get messages and I've turned it on and off.. I've removed the battery and restarted it.

On the hardware keyboard it is done by pressing > key (itself not very convenient), but I haven't found any way of doing it on the software keyboard.
